Isabella attempted to seize the injured Shop Owner Frank amid escalating tensions, but Leader Edmund intervened. Manager Lara arrived, administering healing potions to Vincent Carey and presenting Isabella with a shocking call from Forbidden Wizard Erwin. Stunned into regret, Isabella turned on Magic Lord Scott, attacking him brutally and forcing his retreat with the Flame Elemental Tower forces from Crystal City. Lara hinted at future benefits for supportive allies Elder Blake and Edmund as the crisis resolved.

The Room

I swallowed the healing potions before lying down on the bed. With healing energy surging through my veins, the burning pain began to fade. My internal wounds started to mend themselves.

Outside

Patrick, Otto, Hank, and Old Man Rock stood gathered there. The two monsters had emerged too. Worry etched their faces.

Right then, Manager Lara stepped into the area. She approached the room's door. Everyone exhaled deeply upon spotting her.

"Don't worry. They are gone. No one will cause trouble now," she assured them.

Phew!

A collective sigh of relief escaped them all.

"How is he?" she inquired.

"He is resting now. He has consumed the healing potions," Hank answered.

With a nod, she entered the room. There, Vincent Carey lay on the bed. A flicker of gravity appeared in her gaze.

Meanwhile, I sensed her presence. Opening my eyes, I gazed at her.

"Are you out of your mind?" she demanded. "Why did you resist?"

"It's good that there is a ban. No one is allowed to use magic spells. But it doesn't mean that they can't hurt you. Look at you now. The person who hit you was not Scott, but Isabella from the Silver Tower," Lara stated gravely.

At those words, my eyebrows shot up.

"Why did she want to help Scott?" I questioned her.

"She is from the Dark Silver Faction. Everyone now knows that your alternate identity is a relative of mine. So she targeted me. They want me to stay neutral," Lara explained.

Surprise didn't grip me. Soon, another thought struck, leading me to ask, "How did they leave?"

"Forbidden Wizard Erwin spoke to her. You should have seen her face; she was petrified. She made an apology before leaving."

"When it comes to the Magic Lord Scott, after seeing me, he gave up the intention of troubling you," she added, smiling.

"Lord Erwin," I murmured. He had rescued me once more. "Thank him on my behalf," I responded.

"I will, but what are you going to do now?" she pressed. "It appears that they won't stop. They will come up with new plans to target you. Why don't you reveal your true identity? I think no one will dare to think about it then," she suggested.

An excellent notion sparked in my head. After pondering it, I shared the details with her.

Moments later, Lara remarked, "You want to use your original identity to buy the appraisal shop, and your alternative identity to work for your original identity?"

"Do you know the risk? Both can't be present at the same time," Lara questioned, tone laced with astonishment.

Truthfully, the plan appealed to her. Should Vincent Carey claim ownership of the shop, petty disturbances would cease. Yet, it might invite massive assaults from wizard clans and magic towers.

Still, I saw no better path. Meeting her eyes, I proposed, "Why don't you discuss it with Lord Erwin? I'm sure he would support the plan," I continued.

"Good, I'll tell him. You should focus on recovering." With those words, she departed the room.

She intended to remain for a few days. Heading to her quarters, she dialed Lord Erwin, but the connection failed. After several attempts, she abandoned it.

...

Meanwhile

Chatter filled the magic city and its nearby satellite cities about the Crystal City event.

Without proof, the Flame Elemental Tower had struck at the appraisal shop again. Curiosity mounted over the Silver Tower's impending reaction.

Silver Tower

The next day, a key figure reentered the group. It was none other than Forbidden Wizard Charlotte.

No sooner had she arrived than she reached out to Manager Lara.

Keeping tabs on the news, she learned of Vincent Carey's fresh venture. Lara picked up and filled her in on everything.

Shortly after, Charlotte exited the premises. Boarding her flying car, she sped toward Crystal City. Her visit proved swift.

Spies merely noted a quick arrival and exit, lacking time to piece it together.

Crystal City – Shop

Several high-grade potions later, I achieved full recovery. Luckily, only physical harm had struck.

A magic spell assault would demand days to heal. I stayed in bed for now.

Manager Lara's extended stay was known to me. Overnight, I crafted a fresh strategy. Revealing my true self seemed timely.

Parading my real identity would divert focus from the modest shop.

Gathering my mind, I checked my condition. Noting the advancement, I rested a bit longer.

...

Outside

The shop remained closed that day. Customers still dropped by for updates. They sought news on owner Frank's well-being.

Media attempted entry but got halted at the entrance. Guards blocked their path. Inquisitiveness swirled around the appraisal shop.

Then, city authorities showed up. Elder Blake and his team it was. He too craved details on the matter.

The prior night offered no real chat with Manager Lara. Aiming to diffuse strain, he visited the mansion.

Spotting staff, he requested an audience with Manager Lara. Shop owner Frank went unmentioned.

Manager Lara occupied the gallery room office. Thrill built for Lord Charlotte's visit. She anticipated Lord Charlotte meeting Vincent Carey.

Her morning talk with Lord Erwin, plus his vow to drop in, lifted her spirits.

Suddenly, Hank rapped on the door. She faced him and gave a nod.

Creak!

Entering, Hank announced, "Elder Blake wants to see you."

"Okay," she acknowledged.

Hank exited then to escort the visitor inside.
