Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 1831 1831: Part 1: Meeting (Silver Tower)
Previously on Gravity Mage with Level-Up System...
Several days went by.
Crystal City's residents were settling back into everyday life. They had become accustomed to the ongoing tension by now.
Yet, anxiety lingered that rule-breakers might unleash magic spells during brawls.
Level 9 wizards wouldn't instill such terror. These combatants, however, were all Magic Lords, whose single spell could obliterate the entire city.
Fears mounted that the Flame Elemental Tower might push boundaries. Crystal City sought guarantees from the Silver Tower.
Terror stifled commerce. Prolonged stagnation could spell financial losses for the Silver Tower, hitting their income hard.
Luckily, Forbidden Wizard Charlotte addressed the issue. Her arrival was public knowledge now, with the magic city aware of Lord Charlotte's return.
Lord Erwin had come back earlier. Currently, he visited old allies across satellite cities one after another.
With both leaders present, troublemakers stayed away. Still, Green Elemental Tower and Red Flame Elemental Tower folks remained wary, particularly those from the Flame Elemental Tower.
Magic Lord Scott and select comrades had stirred chaos in Crystal City—not once, but twice. Retribution from the Silver Tower loomed in their minds.
Aware of Lord Charlotte's return, Magic Lord Scott lacked the nerve to revisit Crystal City. Capture by Lord Erwin or Charlotte terrified him.
He rued joining the assault, yet knew Lord Callum would have flayed him alive otherwise.
…
Silver Tower
A crucial gathering unfolded in the Silver Tower. Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards joined, alongside an elderly woman called Isabella.
Terror gripped Isabella. Punishment seemed inevitable. The room stayed hushed for initial minutes, devoid of words.
Two rival groups clashed visually: White Silver versus Dark Faction, eyes locked in confrontation.
Lord Erwin and Charlotte attended. Erwin broke the quiet, "Why are we silent?"
"Someone from the Dark Faction crossed the line. She targeted someone dear to us," he continued.
Isabella paled in horror upon hearing it. Her deeds stood exposed; the nightmare unfolded.
That day's summons from Lord Erwin had forewarned her of impending doom.
"What?"
"Why clash internally over an outsider? I know he's an appraiser tied to Manager Lara, but he's no formal Silver Tower member," a Dark Faction elder remarked.
"He's no outsider. Soon, he'll join our White Silver Faction," Charlotte countered.
Gasp!
Shock rippled through the chamber. No one anticipated their fierce commitment.
Dark Silver Faction bore blame this time. Absent Isabella's aggression, this standoff wouldn't exist.
The elder grasped it. He faced Erwin and Charlotte.
"What do you demand?"
"Let's prevent internal strife," the elder urged.
Erwin grinned, replying, "I plan strikes on the Flame Elemental Tower. Tulip City, their key bastion, will feel our wrath."
Gasp!
Gasps echoed among wizards. Lord Erwin's schemes hinted at boldness, but this exceeded expectations.
Challenging the Flame Elemental Tower demanded Dark Silver Faction backing too.
Dark Silver members conferred urgently. United front was vital against external foes for the Silver Tower.
After brief deliberation, the elder announced their decision.
"Fine, we consent. But any fallout is yours. Mage Union eyes us closely," he warned. "Elder approval from our faction is required."
"Okay," Erwin agreed. Elder consent was unavoidable; Elder Dana would grant his.
"Cough!"
"I must contribute something," Charlotte interjected nearby.
Attention shifted to her. Curiosity stirred—what scheme brewed?—though Erwin knew already.
Charlotte beamed, declaring, "Vincent Carey now owns Crystal City's Appraisal Shop. He purchased it. Appraiser Frank serves under him."
"What?"
Stunned outcries erupted. "Vincent Carey" rang familiar to all—a wizard skyrocketing to stardom lately.
Entering as Wizard Seed, his ascent was swift.
In a blink, the Wizard Seed ascended to Supreme Wizard.
Supreme Wizard status elevated him to inner elite circles, unlike mere seeds.
Moreover, Vincent Carey wielded Sub-Taboo Magic.
Both factions' Elders tracked him, given how he single-handedly disrupted Elemental Towers and backing wizard clans.
They hunted him relentlessly. Recent intel revealed his White Silver Faction affiliation.
Shop ownership now? Reactions varied wildly.
Isabella's expression soured. She despised owner Frank's insolence.
This revelation stunned her deeply. Tormenting Frank lay beyond reach henceforth.
Forgiven once already, repeat offenses would find no allies even from her side.
Reluctant yet wiser, she vowed to forget Crystal City matters. Lesson learned.
"Where is he?" the elder inquired.
"He's in a secure spot. Public debut approaches," Charlotte answered.
