Reese, a self-proclaimed Demon Hunter, arrived at the Blue Haven shelter and underwent a rigorous examination to confirm he wasn't corrupted. Cleared by a priest, he was introduced to Fiona, the shelter's manager, and accepted a position in Hunting Squad 5. He experienced the shelter's surprisingly abundant food and witnessed the reverence shown to a heroic figure before heading to the training grounds. Meanwhile, Shane visited Anna's lab with a vial of Fairy Dust.

Shane placed the vial of Fairy Dust carefully on Anna’s workbench, the particles were still glowing faintly in the laboratory’s light.

Anna moved closer as she looked at the item with curiosity. Meanwhile, Lucky wagged his tail beside her.

He probably thought that it was food.

"This dust... it’s pure mana condensed into crystalline form," Shane began to explain as he knew that Anna wanted to know more about it.

She probably heard it from the elves about its healing properties and other mysterious effects, but it was still quite different...

"Axis herself produced it. I believe it can also act as a stabilizer. If infused into equipment or serums, it might reduce volatility, prevent side effects, or even amplify existing enhancements. Imagine a stronger Super Soldier Serum that no longer risks burnout or mental instability. Or weapons that channel destructive force without draining the wielder."

Shane said this with confidence. Those words weren’t just some guesses but something he learned from the Fairy Realm in his past life.

"If that’s true, then its really incredible...

Anna tapped her chin, clearly intrigued.

"Fairy Dust as a stabilizer... or a catalyst. It could work. But you didn’t come here just to show me glitter, Shane." Her smile was knowing...

She was aware that Shane was just being polite.

Shane chuckled as he was caught in her gaze.

"You always see through me." He sighed, leaning against the counter.

"Alright. I’ll admit it. I need more Super Soldier Serum. The elves are becoming a problem, and I can’t risk losing ground. My soldiers are loyal, but numbers alone won’t be enough."

Anna sighed as she also heard of the situation from Fiona.

"So you want me to brew another batch... that’s stronger and better? But you already know the strain it puts on them... so you brought the Fairy Dust?"

Shane nodded with a wry smile on his face...

"That’s why I’m here... Ahem... I heard that Raze, Asad, and other had plenty of recruitment stones they’re not using yet. In short, I’ll use the Recruitment Stones, Common, Uncommon, even Rare to get more Super Soldier candidates... New recruits arrive weak, but if they consume the serum, they can be transformed into Super Soldiers. It’s efficient. Instead of waiting for them to train up, I can elevate them instantly into reliable fighters."

Anna frowned. "You’re gambling with lives again. The serum isn’t gentle. It rewrites their bodies, forces them into strength. Some won’t survive unless they have higher levels... Ahh... Wait.... That why you’re giving this Fairy Dust."

Shane’s expression hardened. "That’s try... We have to do this... Even if not for the elves, if demons truly come next, then we need a reliable army ready. Not half‑trained survivors, but soldiers who can stand against vampires, dragons, and whatever else is coming."

Anna sighed, glancing at the vial of Fairy Dust.

"I hope that this serum can really make it safer."

Shane nodded firmly.

"Yes. If you can integrate it into your modified Super Soldier Serum, maybe the transformation won’t be so destructive. Maybe they’ll keep their humanity longer, avoid the burnout we’ve seen before."

Anna’s pout returned, though softer this time. "You always bring me impossible tasks, Shane. But... I’ll try. For the sake of the shelter."

Although she had already perfected the Super Soldier Serum, she was always trying to improve it, and even if she really did, there were some side effects that she couldn’t remove.

This time, however, the Fairy Dust might be the answer she needed.

Shane smiled faintly. "That’s all I ask. With your skill, and this dust, we might finally have a way to stabilize the process. That Special Super Soldier you’re making, I believe that’s possible. And if we succeed, every recruit from the stones can become a weapon against the Apocalypse."

Lucky barked again with its tail thumping against the floor... Anna reached out, taking the vial carefully. "Fine. I’ll begin the tests. But don’t expect miracles overnight. And if this fails, you’ll owe me more than just Warden Units."

Shane chuckled again, shaking his head. "Deal. Just don’t let the elves get ahead of us. We can’t afford surprises."

Anna nodded as she understood what he meant. "Then let’s make sure your Super Soldiers are ready for whatever comes next."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the shelter, the ringing sound of hammers and the sound of burning or molten metal filled the air of the Blue Haven workshop.

Sparks moved across the stone floor as dozens of smiths and engineers worked tirelessly...

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Since they had been doing this for a long time. Their movements were always sharp and practiced.

Among them was Spencer Blakely...

He had aristocratic features illuminated by the glow of the forge.

He had high cheekbones, a strong jawline, and slicked‑back dark hair that gave him an almost regal presence, but it was his piercing steel‑gray eyes that commanded attention.

Spencer was no ordinary recruit.

Even a couple of years ago, Shane had recognized his value.

He had said it himself...

That expertise was now on full display after all the years.

At his station, Spencer oversaw a team of craftsmen, each working on different components... blades, firearm barrels, enchanted alloys, and many more, including those used for traps and even for the kitchen!

His voice was then heard through the chamber...

"Keep the temperature steady. If the alloy cools unevenly, the edge will fracture under stress. We need it in its perfect condition!"

The workers obeyed without hesitation. Spencer had earned their respect not through brute force, but through knowledge and results.

Weapons forged under his guidance had already proven themselves in battles against zombies and vampires...

Yet today’s work was different.

A sealed set of instructions had arrived earlier, delivered discreetly by Fiona’s rats.

Spencer had read them carefully, and his expression remained unreadable. The directive was clear... create a special line of weapons designed for anti‑elf combat.

He had not questioned the order aloud. But in his mind, he understood the implications.

The elves, once allies, were becoming unpredictable. Their loyalty was intact on paper, but their devotion to the Fairy Queen was growing stronger.

Shane needed contingencies, and Spencer was the man to provide them.

He gathered his closest team... smiths, enchanters, and engineers he trusted implicitly. Behind closed doors, away from the main workshop floor, they began their secret project.

"Listen carefully," Spencer said, his voice low. "These weapons are not for general distribution. They are to be kept hidden until ordered. Their purpose is specific... to counter mana users..."

One of the smiths frowned. "Mana Users? Like the Dragon Army?"

Spencer’s steel‑gray eyes turned to the smith and nodded...

"Yes... Still, our duty is not to question, but to prepare. If the Queen commands them against us, we must be ready."

The room fell silent. Then, slowly, the workers nodded.

Spencer laid out the designs.

Blades forged with alloys resistant to mana infusion.

Crossbow bolts tipped with runes designed to disrupt enchantments.

Shields layered with materials that absorbed elemental strikes.

He explained each detail perfectly... with his mind drawing from years of study.

"Elven steel is light but brittle under pressure. Their enchantments rely on resonance. If we disrupt that resonance, their weapons lose potency. These designs will give us the edge."

Hearing that they were trying to make something that could even best an Elven weapon, he was excited.

"Alright... Let’s not leave this place until Shane is satisfied."

The team worked tirelessly, melting metals, inscribing runes, and testing prototypes. Spencer moved among them, correcting mistakes and refining techniques.

At one station, a young enchanter hesitated over a rune sequence....

"If you inscribe the rune clockwise... it amplifies mana. Miss Aya already taught this to us. We need counter‑resonance. Reverse the sequence. It will nullify their enchantments instead of strengthening them."

"R-right..."

The enchanter corrected the mistake, and the weapon hummed with a faint disruptive energy.

Spencer allowed himself a small smile.

Hours passed, and the secret arsenal began to take shape.

Blades with unnatural sharpness, crossbow bolts with anti‑mana runes, and shields with strange mana-absorbing properties were made...

Spencer studied the collection with a smile.

"Good. These will serve their purpose. But remember... secrecy is paramount. If word spreads, the targets of these weapons might be aware of what’s going on. And if they know, they will adapt. Understood?"

"Yes, sir!"

The workers nodded solemnly. They understood the gravity of their task.

As the night deepened, Spencer allowed himself a moment of reflection.

He thought back to his conversation with Shane so long ago.

Now, that promise extended to elves as well.

He did not relish the thought of fighting them.

But he knew the world had changed. Zombies, vampires, dragons... and now perhaps demons. Alliances shifted like sand, so it wasn’t surprising to have elves join the enemy’s side.

That night, as he extinguished the forge and wiped the sweat from his brow, Spencer’s steel‑gray eyes lingered on the sealed instructions once more.

"Elves, huh... I wonder if that’s also the case with Eudora..." He couldn’t help but sigh at the memory of this cheerful and kind elf.

It didn’t sit well with him to fight this cute elf.
