Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world Chapter 580: The Experiments [1]

The small, cozy cafeteria near the city center was relatively quiet during the afternoon lull.
Soft jazz played in the background while the aroma of fresh coffee and baked pastries filled the air.
Marzella was sitting alone at a corner table near the window.
A half-finished cup of black coffee sat in front of her, untouched for the past ten minutes.
Her fingers tapped nervously against the side of the cup as she kept glancing toward the entrance.
The bell above the door chimed softly.
Marzella looked up.
Brandon walked in, dressed casually in a dark jacket and pants, his striking appearance drawing a few subtle glances from other customers.
He looked at the room briefly before his eyes settled on her.
"Dr. Quillhart," he greeted, pulling out the chair opposite her and sitting down smoothly.
"Sorry if I kept you waiting."
Marzella shook her head quickly, forcing a professional smile "No, not at all. Thank you for coming on such short notice, Brandon. I really appreciate it."
She looked at him carefully as he settled in.
He looked even more striking in daylight with sharp blue eyes, flawless features, and an aura of quiet confidence that felt strangely out of place for a 25-year-old.
Brandon leaned back slightly, "So... you mentioned my blood sample showed something interesting?"
Marzella nodded, trying to keep her excitement under control "Yes. Your blood showed unusually high compatibility with ether-based medical treatments."
"We’d like to run a few more tests, nothing invasive, just some additional samples and perhaps a quick scan. It could help us develop new treatments for some disorders."
She paused and then spoke with a small smile "Of course, you’ll be compensated for your time."
Brandon gave her a small nod "I don’t mind. As long as it helps people."
Marzella’s eyes brightened slightly, though she tried to hide her eagerness "Wonderful. We can schedule the follow-up whenever you’re free. Perhaps tomorrow?"
With a thoughtful look, Brandon replied "We can start today itself."
She blinked, clearly surprised by his immediate willingness.
Recovering quickly, she nodded with a faint, pleased smile.
"Today would be perfect. My lab isn’t far from here. We can head there right after we finish our drinks, if that’s alright with you."
He raised his hand slightly, catching the attention of a passing waiter.
"Could I get a sandwich and a coffee?"
The waiter nodded and hurried off.
He then turned to her with a smile "No rush, right? We can talk a bit while we wait."
Marzella kept her polite smile "Of course. So, Mr.Brandon... what do you do for a living? If you don’t mind me asking."
Brandon shrugged lightly, "I travel a lot. Different places, different work. Nothing too exciting."
E-Eh? She blinked in surprise "I-I see."

Marzella led the way through a quiet side street, eventually stopping in front of an unassuming office building.
She swiped a keycard at a discreet side entrance, and the door clicked open, revealing a dimly lit stairwell leading downward.
Brandon followed her without hesitation, and they descended two flights of stairs, entering a hidden corridor.
Marzella unlocked another reinforced door, and they stepped into her private laboratory.
Advanced medical equipment like scanners, centrifuges, and custom-built ether analysis machines filled the space.
She closed the door behind them and gestured toward a large, examination chair in the center of the room.
"Please, have a seat. We’ll start with a full-body scan. It’s completely non-invasive and will only take a few minutes."
Brandon sat down without protest, rolling up his sleeve as she prepared the equipment.
Marzella moved quickly, attaching sensors to his arms, chest, and head. She then activated a large, cylindrical scanner that slowly moved over his body from head to toe.
The machine hummed softly as it ran. Marzella watched the monitor with wide eyes, her fingers trembling slightly on the controls.
The results appeared almost immediately.
Ether particles.
Not just a few, thousands of them, moving actively within his bloodstream, integrated seamlessly with his cells. His entire body was saturated with stable, living ether energy.
She ran several more tests like neural activity, genetic sequencing, and ether compatibility scans.
Each result only deepened her shock.
Brandon sat quietly, watching her reaction with a faint smile on his lips.
Marzella finally turned to him, "Your body... it’s producing ether naturally. How is this possible? Have you ever been exposed to any ether-based substances before? Any unusual medical treatments?"
Brandon shook his head slightly, "Not that I know of."
Marzella’s gaze narrowed ’It seems like he has ether particles but can’t use ether as an energy like an awakener... I need to do more tests.’
She stopped and looked at him, "Would you be willing to come in for more tests? Regular ones. I can compensate you generously. This is... this is revolutionary."
Keeping his smile, Brandon nodded "It is for the greater good, right? With this, many disorders can be solved."
Marzella’s smile faltered for a split second "Yes... exactly."
As she prepared the next set of equipment, Brandon leaned back in the chair, closing his eyes for a brief second.
"By the way, doctor... as I said, I travel a lot and don’t have a steady home or income. So I was wondering if you could get me a place to stay while we do these follow-up tests."
Marzella paused mid-motion, her hands hovering over the control panel.
She was thinking about how to keep him close for further study.
Having him under the same roof would make collecting more samples, running continuous tests, and observing him much easier. It was almost too perfect.
Marzella gave him a warm smile.
"I can arrange that. Actually... I live in the upper floors of this building. There’s a spare room that’s rarely used. You’re welcome to stay there. It would make things more convenient for both of us."
Brandon opened his eyes and looked at her, "That would be helpful. Thank you, Dr. Quillhart."
Marzella nodded, turning back to the equipment to hide the excitement in her eyes.
At that moment, Marzella’s phone vibrated on the table.
She glanced at the screen and her expression softened into a genuine smile as she picked it up.
"Elize..." she said warmly, answering the call.
Brandon’s eyes widened slightly and his gaze quivered ’...Elize.’
He quickly controlled his emotions, forcing his expression back to neutral as he closed his eyes for a brief second.
’No, I shouldn’t meet her now, I need to wait a little more.’
Marzella continued her conversation on the phone, "Yes, I’m doing well... No, don’t worry about me..."
