Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2620: 1443: An Unexpected Appearance

The Desert Alliance and the Rainforest Fortress Alliance have simultaneously launched massive invasions, threatening to overwhelm the realm with millions of Tier 4 soldiers. Facing a desperate defensive struggle, Leo Ray reinforces his strongholds and dispatches a specialized team to infiltrate the rainforest and uncover the enemy's true motives. Meanwhile, a plan is set in motion to rescue the imprisoned Desert Leader from the treacherous underground caverns of Medusa’s Holy Land. As the Lord personally prepares for this high-stakes mission, a sinister Lich Leader watches from the shadows, confident that a fatal trap has finally been sprung.

Within a hall defined by khaki hues and vibrant patterns, a pair of groups stood in a tense confrontation, the atmosphere thick with an increasingly lethal aura.

Illuminated by the glow of Light Crystal Stones set into the ceiling, one faction was clearly the desert-dwelling Catman Clan, sharing the same feline traits as the Masked Man. Facing them were the tall, muscular warriors of the Werewolf Tribe, evidently hailing from the same bloodline as Vice Leader Lucas.

The cat paw insignias adorning the chamber walls left no doubt that this location served as the ancestral territory of the desert Catman Clan.

“Desert Catmen, is it truly your intention to ignore the commands of Lord Lucas, our alliance leader?”

The lead werewolf, marked by a prominent facial scar, released a chilling snort and spoke with a harsh tone, “The price for defying the alliance leader is a burden your pathetic tribe cannot possibly sustain! Lord Lucas has already decreed that those who resist shall be completely wiped out, along with every soul that follows them!”

“You must realize that your meager power is utterly insignificant when measured against the collective strength of the Desert Alliance!”

Threatened by the scarred werewolf’s words, many of the Catman warriors couldn't help but swallow nervously. Their confidence visibly crumbled, and even their pointed ears began to sag.

The truth of the werewolf’s statement weighed heavily on them; even within the alliance, the desert Catman Clan’s influence was minor. They were no match for the formidable Medusa or the Moon Demon Wolf Clan, let alone the united front of the entire alliance.

“Why not reconsider? If you answer Lord Lucas’s summons now and send your warriors to the Desolate Fortress to drench the Emperor’s lands in blood, perhaps Lord Lucas will show mercy.”

Observing the fading resolve of the Catman fighters, the scarred werewolf leader spoke with growing arrogance, “This is your final opportunity; do not be ungrateful. If you refuse, you and your kin will be slaughtered where you stand when the Grand Army arrives!”

The scarred werewolf failed to notice, however, that amidst the fearful Catman warriors stood a middle-aged Catman of imposing stature. His expression remained resolute, and his khaki ears stayed perfectly upright. This was Lannis, the Clan Leader of the Catman Clan.

“Your Excellency, I ask that you inform the Vice Leader that we will not mobilize our forces until the whereabouts of the Lord Leader have been confirmed.”

Lannis maintained a calm demeanor as he once again rejected the ultimatum.

“Lord Clan Leader, are you referring to the previous leader?”

The scarred werewolf narrowed his eyes and let out a mocking laugh, “I have said from the start that after departing the Shadow Market, the former leader was caught in an ambush by the Human Emperor. Most of the elders and warriors accompanying him were killed instantly.”

“Our new leader, Lord Lucas, has assembled a Grand Army to march on the Desolate Fortress to avenge our fallen chief. What possible excuse do you have for refusing to march?”

The werewolf’s voice turned sharp with impatience as he demanded, “What is your true motive for defying the authority of the new leader, Lord Lucas?”

The scarred werewolf then added a taunting edge to his voice, continuing, “Lord Clan Leader, word has reached me that your own daughter perished in that same ambush by the Human Emperor; do you not crave vengeance?”

“I certainly do, but I intend to uncover the identity of the actual mastermind first.”

A flicker of emotion crossed Lannis’s face, yet he struggled to keep his voice steady and composed as he replied.

“Lord Clan Leader, are you calling the new leader a liar?”

The scarred werewolf’s face twisted into a dark scowl as he barked, “These events were witnessed by the new leader himself and Her Majesty, the new Queen of Medusa. Is their word not prestigious enough for you to believe?”

“I simply cannot find a logical reason why the Human Emperor would choose to ambush our leader.”

Undeterred by the aggressive interrogation, Lannis remained poised, stating calmly, “Furthermore, the leader’s remains have not been recovered, yet the Vice Leader seized control immediately, and the Medusa throne was handed over just as quickly. Does that not seem remarkably rushed?”

Hearing this, the other Catman elders looked on with a mix of helplessness and dread.

Within the tribe, Lannis was famous for his blunt honesty and stubborn nature, qualities that had served him well in governing his people. However, looking at the current danger, it was clear that this was a poor time to be unyielding.

The entire situation had unfolded with suspicious speed. As Lannis pointed out, the Human Emperor had no motive to attack the leader; such an act would be equivalent to inviting his own destruction.

It was obvious to anyone paying attention that there was more to these events than what was being told.

Many of the other factions that had already sent troops likely harbored similar suspicions, or at least felt a sense of unease.

But with Lucas now holding the reins of power—backed by the new Medusa Queen and the combined might of the Moon Demon Wolf Clan and the Medusa—most forces felt they had no choice but to submit, regardless of their doubts.

“Clan Leader of the Catmen, it appears you are set on opposing the new leader.”

His patience finally exhausted, the scarred werewolf reached into his tunic and pulled out a shimmering golden token. He shouted, “The new leader has commanded: should Lannis refuse to comply, the other Catman Clan warriors are authorized to execute him. Whoever kills Lannis will receive the leader’s blessing to become the next Clan Leader of the Catmen!”

As the werewolf’s declaration echoed with lethal intent, his fellow werewolf warriors bared their teeth and growled, dropping into low stances in preparation for a strike. Meanwhile, the Catman elders remained motionless, acting as if they hadn't heard the order at all.
