Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2614: 1439: Agreement and Return (Part 2)

Previously on Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong...
Leo Ray has successfully negotiated a series of lucrative trades with Loris of the Rainforest Fortress Alliance and Sina of the Desert Alliance. In exchange for Sixth-order Equipment, Loris agreed to hand over the Stone of God, 500 exotic ores, and the rights to a rare underground ore vein. Not to be outdone, Sina offered ten magic containers, 100 Magic Crystals, and the rights to two additional ore veins, including one capable of producing the rare Sacred Essence Stone. These resources provide the essential materials Leo Ray needs to upgrade the Lord’s Mansion and potentially awaken his ally, King West.

Following this, the formal trade agreement was finalized under the Administrator's oversight. As both parties acquired their desired resources, the mood in the room grew notably vibrant.

“Forming a connection with Your Majesty of the Humans has truly made this trip worthwhile.”

Within the expansive, well-lit hall, Reece stood tall, radiating confidence in his newly acquired Tier 6 armor. He gave a respectful nod toward Leo Ray, adding, “Should Your Majesty obtain more sixth-tier equipment, I expect to be notified immediately!”

“Leader of the Rainforest, you flatter me. Gear of the sixth tier is hardly a common find. It was merely a stroke of luck that I possessed items so perfectly suited for both you and the other leader.”

Leo Ray maintained a polite smile as he observed the seemingly cordial lion-faced man before him.

While he appears to be engaging in friendly banter, he is clearly attempting to probe the depths of my inventory.

Even though the transaction was a success and a strategy to eliminate the Witch Demon was set, this remains a partnership of convenience. Both sides are simply fulfilling their own requirements.

Once the threat of the Witch Demon is gone, this lion might very well turn his greed toward me. I have no intention of revealing my hand.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, I eagerly anticipate our next encounter.”

Sina, now draped in a fresh sixth-tier magic robe, let her beautiful eyes linger on Leo Ray. “Perhaps our future interactions will delve even deeper,” she suggested.

“I appreciate the sentiment, Leader of the Desert.”

Leo Ray offered the same measured smile to the alluring Medusa Queen, keeping his guard up.

Then, his expression shifted to one of gravity as he spoke with intent. “I trust neither of you has dismissed my earlier warning. The whispers regarding the mobilization of your armies are not mere fiction.”

“Do not worry, Your Majesty. The Rainforest Fortress Alliance has no room for traitors,” Reece replied, his leonine features hardening. He nodded firmly, saying, “The moment we return, a rigorous internal investigation will commence.”

“My actions will be identical. I shall purge these parasites, regardless of their status,” Sina added, her brow furrowed in a sharp frown. “I will show no mercy to those responsible.”

“Excellent. Tomorrow night shall be our coordinated strike to wipe the Witch Demon from existence,” Leo Ray concluded with a nod. “We will reconvene here tomorrow evening to finalize the tactical details.”

The two leaders signaled their agreement, and the surrounding powerhouses from both alliances looked primed for the coming conflict.

With the arrangements concluded, the groups exchanged farewells. Guided by the Administrator, they exited the Shadow Market and faded into the darkness of the night.

“Your Majesty, they have departed.”

Once it was certain that only their own forces remained within the market, the Administrator turned to Leo Ray. “I must remark, Your Majesty's maneuvers tonight were exceptionally effective.”

“I owe much to your cooperation, Your Excellency.”

Leo Ray gave a faint smile before summoning his high-ranking subordinates from the adjacent room to outline their next moves.

Throughout the briefing, Leo Ray placed heavy emphasis on maintaining a high state of alert at the various frontier fortresses. He went as far as secretly relocating the ancient Dark Elves to the stronghold near the Sighing Valley.

Moving this far out stretched the ancient Dark Elves beyond their typical operational limits, causing Jess and the others to suffer a drop in power. Nevertheless, they still commanded the strength of ten quasi-Tier 4 Legions.

Simultaneously, the Shadow Market transitioned away from the Sighing Valley, heading back toward their home territory.

“Your Majesty, since a temporary pact has been forged with the two alliances, is such extreme caution truly necessary?” Bruno asked, a look of confusion visible on his bovine face.

“In any scenario, we are at a severe numerical disadvantage compared to those two powers. Vigilance is our best defense,” Leo Ray explained to Bruno. “Furthermore, the Witch Demon is still at large, and we cannot dismiss the possibility of a double-cross.”

The gathered experts nodded in understanding at Leo Ray's logic, promptly dispersing to execute their assigned tasks.

As Leo Ray managed his deployments, the freezing night winds howled around Sina and Reece’s elite units as they journeyed back to their respective domains.

Near the border of a desolate region, Sina and her retinue were flying over a low-lying basin when a powerful silhouette blocked their path.

The figure was massive and imposing. Under the pale glow of the moon, a large wolf’s head snarled, baring sharp teeth while a low, guttural growl vibrated in its chest.

The sight of this individual caused Sina and the Desert Alliance powerhouses to stop abruptly, their faces clouding over with tension.

The figure was Lucas, the Vice Leader of the Desert Alliance.

Sina had previously avoided mentioning Lucas because he had vanished without a trace for two days. As a high-ranking official, his disappearance would have sparked panic, damaged morale, and invited enemy interference.

“Lucas, where have you been hiding for the past two days?” Sina demanded, her voice cold and heavy with suspicion as she stared at the hostile wolf-man.

It was Lucas who had originally proposed that Sina concentrate her forces within Leo Ray’s territory. Combined with the warning from the Human King, Sina had already begun to suspect he was the mole.

Lucas offered no reply. Instead, he began a slow, predatory advance toward them. Saliva dripped from his bared fangs, and a thick aura of bloodlust surrounded him.

At the same time, several figures cloaked in the stench of death materialized around Lucas. Their withered, mummy-like faces were twisted into grotesque, mocking grins.

“Witch Demons! It appears the Vice Leader has truly sold his soul to them!” The Masked Man shouted, his fingers extending into lethal claws as he moved to shield Sina. The other warriors of the Desert Alliance drew their steel, their nerves taut.

With the moonlight at its peak, Lucas possessed enough raw power to challenge Sina directly.

Furthermore, these Witch Demons were all Tier 6 entities. Given their mastery over necromancy, there was no telling how many undead horrors were waiting in the shadows. Even for these elite fighters, victory was far from certain.

The fact that the enemy had revealed themselves so boldly suggested they had prepared a lethal trap.

Just as the tension reached a breaking point, a commanding female voice cut through the air: “Protect the Queen!”

Following the shout, more than ten Medusa elites, each radiating a powerful Tier 6 aura, descended from the sky. Their serpentine bodies coiled protectively around Sina.

The speaker was Belinda, Sina’s sister and the Captain of her Personal Guard.

Relief washed over Sina’s pale face at the sight of Belinda. These guards were the finest warriors of her kin; with their arrival, a safe retreat was finally plausible.

The other Desert Alliance members felt a surge of hope, their fighting spirit reignited by the reinforcements.

“Sister, we shouldn't linger here. We must break through and regroup before we discuss this further,” Sina whispered to Belinda. She had no desire for a prolonged skirmish with Lucas; her priority was returning to her main army to crush these traitors with overwhelming force.

As the Desert Leader, Sina realized that if they were ambushed here, the enemy likely knew of her plans against the Witch Demon and had already moved to counter her. Staying put meant staying at a disadvantage.

Only by regaining control of her legions could she reclaim the upper hand. However, before Sina could act on her plan, a sudden, terrifying change occurred.
