After finishing his statement, the masked individual cast a cold look at Old Susan. "You cannot even identify the quality of the finale items," he remarked with indifference, "yet you still insist on making a spectacle of yourself."
Old Susan’s weathered face flushed with anger at the insult. Just as he was about to lash out, the administrator’s cheerful voice intervened: "Honored guests, there is a detail you may have missed. The Tier 6 equipment serving as our grand finale is not limited to a single set. There are actually two sets available, perfectly matching the requirements of both leaders. That is precisely why I extended invitations to you both."
“I see. It appears this gathering has attracted several wealthy benefactors.”
Sina arched an eyebrow slightly and addressed the official: "Lord Administrator, please arrange for us to meet the proprietor of the Tier 6 Wand and Robe privately. I have no desire for pests to spoil my concentration."
“Lord Administrator, my resolve to claim the Tier 6 Giant Axe and Plate Armor is absolute; certain garbage shouldn't even be permitted to stay.”
Veins throbbed on Loris’s leonine face as he suppressed his rage. He added, "Take me to see the owner of the gear immediately."
“I believe there has been a misunderstanding. Both sets of equipment actually belong to the same individual,” the administrator explained with a helpless grin.
Their friction was hardly surprising. For more than a millennium, the Desert Alliance and the Rainforest Fortress Alliance had been locked in a bitter struggle over water rights and ore deposits along their borders, leading to heavy casualties on both sides.
Had they not been forced to maintain their strength against the more dominant second-tier powers deeper within the Outer Region, they likely would have engaged in a total war long ago.
Furthermore, whenever one side was occupied with those stronger forces, the other would inevitably launch a sneak attack to seize resources. This cycle of betrayal had fueled a deep-seated hatred, making their current hostility predictable.
“Understood. Please continue, Administrator,” Loris said with a slight nod, his eyes gleaming with a mix of shock and intrigue.
Anyone capable of offering Tier 6 equipment for trade was a person of significance, but someone providing two full sets was a rarity. He wondered what kind of extravagant figure had arrived at this market.
Sina remained silent, but her sharp eyes were constantly scanning the surroundings as she speculated on the owner’s identity. She had previously attempted to enter higher-level Shadow Markets and had encountered elites from first and second-tier factions.
Even those powerful figures hungered for Tier 6 equipment and were prepared to pay exorbitant prices, leaving someone of her standing with no chance to bid. Why would such a patron choose to appear in a place like this?
After all, for a Tier 6 expert, compatible Tier 6 gear is a massive force multiplier; it is the only way to truly harness their full potential.
In a clash between two experts of equal Cultivation, the one wielding Tier 6 equipment could easily dominate the other, potentially even taking on two opponents simultaneously.
While the two leaders puzzled over the mystery, the administrator led them away from the crowded market stalls, eventually stopping before a large, secluded structure.
“Distinguished guests, we have arrived at the exchange and inspection hall. The equipment is waiting inside. Follow me.”
As he spoke, the administrator signaled the squad of guards stationed at the entrance to pull back the heavy gates.
As the doors swung open, they revealed a magnificent hall where the two sets of Tier 6 gear were displayed. Each set was encased in its own independent Defensive Barrier and guarded by two Tier 6 sentries, radiating a vibrant and exotic aura.
Seeing the very items promised in their invitations, the two leaders forgot their bickering and rushed toward their respective prizes with wide eyes.
The experts accompanying them were just as breathless, following closely behind. Even for individuals of their status, Tier 6 equipment was a rare sight to behold.
“It is exactly what I needed—the Tier 6 Giant Axe!”
Loris pressed his face nearly against the barrier, his eyes fixed on the shimmering, multicolored edge of the weapon. “The craftsmanship is exquisite; I have never seen anything like it!”
“This Giant Axe was forged by a legendary, now-extinct Dwarf Clan master,” the administrator began, reciting the details Leo Ray had provided. “It utilizes Titan Clan forging secrets, blending the best of both traditions. The primary material is the incredibly rare Silver White Knight meteor iron, and the handle features an embedded high-tier gravity magic crystal to boost both impact and armor penetration.”
The administrator smiled at the leader's awe. “If you wish, you may handle the weapon personally. The owner has given special permission for this.”
“Such a generous and confident soul!”
Loris’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Then I shall take you up on that offer, Lord Administrator.”
“It is my pleasure.”
The administrator nodded, instructing the guards to drop the barrier so Loris could examine the axe with fervor.
Turning his attention to Sina, who was similarly captivated by her display, the administrator explained: “To be honest, Your Majesty, this wand originated from the Rock Fishmen, an ancient race long thought lost. Legend says it belonged to a high priest of their tribe, a people famous for their mastery of petrification magic.”
“Beyond standard mana amplification and casting speed, this wand significantly boosts the user's petrification spells and can even manifest a high-tier water attribute shield.”
“As you can see, despite the passage of ages, its luster has not faded. It is truly a rare find.”
Sina’s gaze grew more intense as she studied the gray metal wand, which was carved with patterns of coral and waves. She swallowed hard; this was the legendary weapon she had always desired.
Following Leo Ray’s plan, the administrator lowered the barrier for Sina as well. He then introduced the two accompanying sets of Tier 6 armor. Once the demonstrations were over, Loris and Sina reluctantly allowed the items to be returned to their cases, their faces etched with longing.
“Lord Administrator, where is the owner? I am very anxious to meet this esteemed individual,” Loris said, rubbing his large, calloused hands together nervously.
“I must have that wand and robe,” Sina added urgently, her snake tail twitching with agitation. “Please, let me speak with them first!”
The two leaders glared at each other, ready to resume their fight over who got priority, but the administrator quickly stepped in. “There is no need for conflict. The owner has requested to meet both of you at the same time.”
With a polite gesture, the administrator led them through a wide hallway and into a spacious, brightly lit chamber.
At the far end of the room, a tall figure sat calmly at a long table, looking as though he had been expecting them.
The figure was none other than Leo Ray.
When Loris and Sina finally saw his face, their excitement vanished instantly. Their expressions hardened into looks of pure irritation and disdain.
As heads of their respective Alliances, they had long ago seen magic portraits of Leo Ray.
“The Emperor of the Humans? Why is he here?”
Loris scowled deeply, his voice dripping with annoyance. “Where is the actual owner of the equipment?”
