In fact, Adam had a way to find Breydar. To do so, he could use his aura to cover a large area.

He hadn’t used this method before because he hadn’t had a reason to, but it was possible.

It worked not only on Breydar, but on any objects and creatures near Adam, within the range of his aura.

The more energy he had, the larger his aura field was, which meant he could cover a larger area.

Sure, Adam had never met Breydar before. He didn’t know what kind of aura Breydar had, so he wouldn’t be able to tell right away from the aura that it was Breydar, but he didn’t need to.

"Hmm... Huh, you might be right. This could work!" Adam’s eyes sparkled as he considered Silvana’s suggestion.

Whooooosh!

Adam landed on a random island as he quickly found its number.

"Island A125... Hmm, I’m still too far from the islands Krador mentioned."

Tap.

Silvana touched his shoulder as she stood beside him.

"Well, even if we’re not in the right area yet, how about we test your abilities?"

"Ah? What do you mean?" Adam raised an eyebrow.

Silvana waved her hand toward the distant islands.

"Look, you haven’t used your aura that way before. I mean, you’ve always known who your opponent was and where they were. So, you never had to search for your opponent. Now, you can use your aura field to reach the farthest aura you can sense. That way, you’ll be able to figure out the boundaries."

Adam blinked as his eyes widened in realization.

"Wait... If I head toward the farthest aura and end up, say, at Island A140, that would mean the radius of my aura field is about 15 islands in every direction, right?"

Silvana nodded with a bright smile.

"Exactly! With this information, it’ll be easier for you to find Breydar once you reach Island A150. No, not even that. If you know that Breydar is somewhere between Island A150 and A180, then you’ll need to stand in the middle of Island A165 and use your aura field."

Adam nodded a few times, mulling over her words. He understood how it was supposed to work, but first he had to test it.

"Alright. I’ve only done this a few times, but there’s nothing complicated about it."

True, all Adam had to do was project his aura outward in as thin a layer as possible.

That way, he could use his aura as effectively as possible. He didn’t need to overwhelm anyone with his aura or attack. His task was simply to detect another being.

"Considering that Breydar is at the Baron Level... No, even if he’s managed to evolve and become a Viscount, he won’t be able to hide from me. He’s weaker than me anyway."

Adam nodded before closing his eyes. He needed to focus.

Tremble.

His aura trembled as, in the next moment, the translucent blue field spread out from him. At first, the blue field covered the island he was on, Island A125, then it expanded farther and farther.

Adam could sense every sea monster swimming near the island that had come within the range of his aura. He paid them no mind, they weren’t what he needed, and they were too close.

Silvana, for her part, stood to the side and watched as the aura field grew. She sensed the same thing Adam did, though not quite as clearly.

’He’s spending only a small fraction of his energy on this. But... How far can his aura field spread?’ She wondered, gazing toward the distant islands.

It took Adam more than five minutes to reach his limit and expand the aura field to its maximum.

In fact, it was a good result, considering it was his first time doing this in a long while.

"That’s it... I can’t do any more. That’s my limit."

Silvana gave him an encouraging smile.

"That’s more than enough. I can feel it. Now, choose a creature right at the edge of your aura. That way, we’ll be able to gauge your capabilities."

Adam nodded.

It was an unfamiliar sensation for him. At the same time, he could sense several thousand creatures within his aura. They all looked similar, yet each was distinct because each had its own unique aura.

If Adam chose one of them, he would know exactly how to reach that aura. He also knew where the boundary of his aura field lay, so... soon he was able to select the farthest aura of them all.

"That one. That’s what we need!"

Adam opened his eyes as he darted forward at high speed. Silvana watched his receding silhouette for a moment before nodding and appearing beside him.

After all, she still couldn’t truly be here. This was her spectral form. Wherever Adam was, she was there too.

Whoooosh!

At high speed, Adam raced through the gusts of wind that ruffled the dark tips of his hair.

His eyes shone brightly as he could clearly see where his target was and which direction to head.

Silvana said nothing as she journeyed alongside him, only occasionally glancing at the islands rushing by beneath them.

From such a height, she couldn’t make out the numbers on the islands, but she counted them and realized they had definitely passed ten islands, at least.

"Here!" Adam exclaimed as he spotted a blue flash in the distance, right at the edge of his aura field.

His target turned out to be an ordinary monster sleeping on a small island in the middle of the Gray Sea.

Well, this monster was located on the border of the First Circle and was almost as strong as a Baron, but it was a Dormant One, so it was no match for Adam.

BAM!

Adam landed on the island as he looked at the monster, which resembled a bull, with thick gray fur and amber eyes.

The bull woke up with a start, and upon meeting Adam’s gaze, grew wary.

"What island is this?" Adam asked.

The bull had no choice but to nod toward the nearest rock.

Adam turned around as his eyes widened.

Three digits were carved into the rock - 145.
