Adam consumes three Lucent Pears at once, causing a massive surge of energy that attracts monsters. Inside his inner space, the energy fuels the Evolution Tree. Silvana and the Silver Weaver discuss the state of the Frenzied Flame anchor, realizing it's dormant and needs to be awakened. The Silver Weaver speculates there might be a fifth anchor related to the First Star, and they decide Adam must investigate.

Adam didn’t hear the conversation between the Silver Weaver and Silvana, but it would become an important part of his journey after he left the Gray Sea.

If what the Silver Weaver had said was true, then he would have to return to the Hollow Lands very soon, or, more precisely... to a place beyond its borders.

But before that, he had to finish his business in the Gray Sea, he had to find and kill Breydar.

Adam no longer saw this as an opportunity to grow stronger or test his strength, since Breydar was merely a Baron, which was in no way comparable to Midgar. But Adam had promised Farla he would do it, so he couldn’t return to the Citadel empty-handed.

Tremble! Tremble! Tremble!

The Evolution Tree was trembling violently as it was already nearly full of energy.

"Well, I think we should talk to him after everything that’s happened," the Silver Weaver said, looking at the great tree.

Silvana nodded. "Yes. You’re right. Adam has more important business right now. He only recently created the Third Grand Star. It would be better if he racked up a few more victories before we face another serious challenge."

"Hmm?" The Silver Weaver raised an eyebrow. "Do you think activating the Frenzied Flame and obtaining the fifth anchor will be that difficult?"

Silvana bit her lip.

"I don’t know. Why are you even asking me about this? I know no more about it than you do!"

"Pffft!" The Silver Weaver scoffed. "Calm down, damn it. Everything will be fine. After Adam had to fight the Viscount of the Befallen Crown, I don’t think it’ll be hard for him to kill this Breydar."

Silvana shrugged her shoulders, looking worried.

"Yeah... I hope so, but still, from now on I’m only going to think about the fifth anchor and the Frenzied Flame!"

The Silver Weaver waved his hand. "If I were you, I’d just relax and watch what happens. If Adam needs our help, we’ll do whatever’s necessary. That’s what matters most."

Silvana wanted to say something, but the Silver Weaver had already left.

His silhouette briefly appeared at the top of the Evolution Tree before fading into the darkness.

"Tsk." Silvana frowned. "Why is it always him who causes trouble?"

But she had to admit that the Silver Weaver was right about one thing, they would always help Adam if he were in danger. They were all part of his powers. Well, almost all of them.

"Agh..." Silvana sighed heavily. "And now, I’m thinking about that, too..."

She once again thought of Goen and Arika.

Most of Silvana’s motivation stemmed from her desire to have a greater impact on Adam’s battles and help him win.

The Operators could do that, but they only began to take an active role in battles once the Phantom’s Nexus reached the Manifest Stage.

Deep down, Silvana was waiting for that moment to come, when she would become to Adam what Arika had been to Goen.

"Alright, Silvana, calm down. First, Adam needs to destroy the Grand Barrier. Sooner or later, he’ll be able to do it, I’m sure of it."

Thus, Silvana left the inner space as well, leaving behind only the Evolution Tree, brimming with dense energy.

Now, Adam was at the peak of his strength, and he had never been this powerful before.

...

"GHA...!"

Adam took a deep breath as he lay on the ground.

His whole body ached as if he were about to explode at any moment. But gradually, that sensation began to subside, albeit slowly.

Step. Step. Step.

Prasyx approached from the side, a mocking smile playing on his face.

"Well, well, that’s what happens when you don’t listen to your elders. I told you to eat just one. Or did you think I’d take the rest away from you? Hahaha!"

"Shut..."

Adam’s voice came out hoarse.

"Just... shut up... it’s bad enough without you..."

"Oh, I don’t doubt that." Prasyx chuckled as he moved closer. "You’ve suddenly regained so much energy. Even I’d be annoyed by that. Well, you’re lucky I know a good way to get back on your feet quickly."

A dangerous gleam flashed across Prasyx’s eyes. Adam didn’t like that one bit.

Clutch.

Before Adam could figure out what Prasyx was up to, Prasyx gripped Adam’s ankle tightly and dragged him forward.

"Wait, wait, wait! What the hell are you doing?!" Adam tried to stop him, but he was too weak even to get up on his own.

Prasyx shrugged, continuing to walk forward.

"Don’t worry. I’m just giving you a friendly hand."

Then, Prasyx’s aura momentarily grew stronger as he turned around.

Suddenly, he hurled Adam forward like a projectile.

Given Prasyx’s strength, in no time, Adam found himself beyond the island’s borders, moving straight into the dark water.

Tremble!

Adam tried to create energy platforms beneath him, but he couldn’t manage it, nor could he stay afloat.

SPLASH!

In the end, he went underwater, while Prasyx watched from the sidelines with a slight smile.

It was unknown what Prasyx was thinking at that moment, but he was clearly confident that this was supposed to help Adam.

A few seconds passed, then ten, and nearly half a minute.

Then...

BLAST!

The bright energy blast burst forth, sending a jet of water skyward along with several fish monsters that had decided to attack Adam in his moment of weakness.

The monsters were stunned, falling back into the water motionless.

Adam, in turn, soared above the surface of the sea, while droplets trickled down from the tips of his black hair.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

The sound of clapping came from the side, causing Adam to look at Prasyx.

"Well, well, it seems my method worked, didn’t it?"

Adam frowned as his fists filled with energy.

"You... I don’t believe there was any other way to help me!"

"Hahaha! Even if there were other ways, this is definitely my favorite!" Prasyx laughed out loud.

Adam was about to say something, but stopped short.

Prasyx assumed a fighting stance as a gleam flashed through his green eyes.

"Come on, don’t you want to see what you can do against someone who’s truly strong?"
