Endless Evolution: Last Star Chapter 1960: The False Flame and the Hidden Anchor

The taste of the Lucent Pear both amazed and puzzled Adam, so without a second thought, he decided to eat them all at once to restore his energy in a single powerful surge.
Well, he would have achieved his goal either way, but Prasyx had suggested he eat only one pear and consume the other two for a reason.
If Adam had consumed them as a resource, the process would have been gradual, but since he decided to swallow all three at once, he had to brace himself for a powerful backlash.
TREMBLE! TREMBLE! TREMBLE!
A powerful aura burst forth from Adam as the blue pillar of energy shot upward, rising above Island A21 and reaching the grim clouds hovering over the Gray Sea.
Beams of light shot from Adam’s eyes as his mouth opened in a silent roar.
Prasyx, watching this scene, could only shake his head.
"Ah... You can tell right away that he’s still young. How can anyone make such mistakes? Although..." Prasyx smirked. "If you don’t make mistakes, life gets pretty boring, doesn’t it?"
The events on Island A21 attracted the attention of many monsters. They didn’t understand what was happening there or where the blue energy pillar had come from, yet no one dared to get too close, watching from a distance.
At the same time, no less significant events were unfolding within Adam’s inner space.
All the energy contained within the three Lucent Pears flowed in dense streams toward the Evolution Tree, filling the nearly empty tree with energy.
Whop!
Silvana appeared out of the darkness as she watched the three powerful streams rush past her.
Tremble!
With every passing second, the Evolution Tree trembled more and more violently, filling with energy.
"What do you think?"
Suddenly, the Silver Weaver’s voice rang out from the side, causing Silvana to turn around.
"Damn it! Can’t you just show up normally without scaring anyone?" She frowned.
The Silver Weaver shrugged with a smug grin.
"Huh, where’s the fun in that?"
Then, his expression grew a little more serious.
"Looks like that serpent wasn’t lying. Three pears will be enough for Adam to reach 100% of his powers, maybe that was even too much."
Silvana crossed her arms over her chest.
"Yes. Adam made a mistake by eating them all at once. I can feel that he’s in pain right now, as if an explosion is trying to tear him apart from the inside. Even at his current level, absorbing that much energy all at once is too much."
"Well, what else did you expect from him? If he’d done it any other way, I’d be surprised."
She nodded deeply and glared at him.
"You didn’t come here just to watch Adam absorb energy, did you?"
"Yeah, something’s been bothering me, and I also have an idea."
"Hmm?"
The Silver Weaver gave her a calm, deep look that was uncharacteristic of him.
"The Frenzied Flame. What is that?"
"Agh? What kind of stupid question is that?" Silvana was taken aback. "It’s one of the four anchors! We got it in the Hollow Lands. How could you possibly forget that?"
"No."
The Silver Weaver’s voice was cold.
"You don’t understand what I’m talking about. Adam can freely use the Ancient Energy and the Dark Energy. The same is true for the Soul Stance. But what about the Frenzied Flame?"
Silvana was about to say something, but she froze mid-sentence. She realized she had no answer.
"Right." The Silver Weaver confirmed his own words. "He obtained the Frenzied Flame. It brought about changes in his aura, but all he managed to do was get the barrier of the Hollow Lands to let him out. That’s it."
Silvana’s eyes darted from side to side as she thought about her answer. But the more she thought, the more she realized that the Silver Weaver was right.
"Damn... Why didn’t I think of that before?"
The Silver Weaver nodded.
"Yep. That’s exactly what I’m saying. Since we’re now certain that we need the power of every anchor to destroy the Grand Barrier, Adam must have them all and ready for battle. As you know, the Frenzied Flame isn’t in the form we need."
Silvana bit her thumb, looking slightly nervous.
"You’re right. Adam was just able to pass through the barrier, and that’s it. The Frenzied Flame is still dormant somewhere deep within his aura."
Then, she looked at him.
"I take it you already have a plan of action?"
"Of course." The Silver Weaver smirked. "When Adam absorbs all the energy, he’ll go kill Breydar, bring his head to Farla, and we’ll need to talk to someone at the very top about one matter. Then, Adam will have to return to the Hollow Lands. We need to figure out what’s wrong with the Frenzied Flame."
In general, Silvana agreed with this, but something was bothering her.
"Who exactly do you want to talk to, and about what?"
For some reason, the Silver Weaver’s gaze grew heavier.
"You see, for some reason I doubt there are only four anchors. I think there are five."
"Agh?"
Silvana was at a loss.
"But... Amelia, she said that—"
"She never said there were only four. Besides, she’s a monster. Her path isn’t the same as Adam’s." The Silver Weaver frowned, sending a chill down Silvana’s spine.
She waved her hands in haste.
" "Alright, I get it. If there really are five anchors, what could the fifth one be?"
The Silver Weaver smirked.
"Isn’t that obvious?"
"Agh?"
"We have Dark Energy as one of the anchors. Dark Energy comes directly from the First Star, so... what about the First Star?"
Silvana blinked a few times.
"But doesn’t all the energy around here belong to the Last Star?"
Strangely enough, the Silver Weaver shook his head.
"I could be wrong, that’s exactly why I want to talk to someone at the very top, but the energy filling the world comes from the World Wipe, that is, from the collision of two stars, not from just one of them."
Silvana’s eyes widened as she spun around to face the Evolution Tree, which was already 80% full of energy.
"You might be right."
Her heart began to race.
"We... We have to tell Adam about this!"
