Lakma, having reached her limit, is knocked unconscious by a mysterious man who has seemingly forgotten his own past. This man reveals he is Adam's "main weapon" and initiates a special evolution using the Path Construct, forging a powerful blue needle. He then uses this weapon to defend Adam from an onslaught of demons, reminding Adam to remember him and reclaim his weapon.

After Midgar used his constellation, the evenly matched battle quickly turned into a hopeless struggle for Adam.

"It looks bad. It seems like this is the end for him," one Lord muttered as he watched the battle from the sidelines.

"Yeah... He fought well, but the difference in their levels is just too great. If his opponent had been a Baron, he would surely have won."

On the other side, a few more Lords watched as the demons surrounded Adam.

"He has no more tricks up his sleeve. He’s desperately using the last bits of his energy. He can’t hide it anymore."

The Lord with long black hair narrowed his eyes.

"What a pity. If it weren’t for this battle, we would have witnessed the birth of a new Second-Rank Phantom very soon."

The other Lord sighed heavily, his gaze filled with sadness.

"He was just a little short of becoming a blazing flame. Still, I think we can all agree that it was a worthy fight."

"Sure." The Lord nodded, his eyes reflecting the demons that had pounced on Adam. "It’ll all be over soon."

Strangely enough, the only Lords who remained silent were Ergander and Blafor.

They understood that Adam’s chances were slim, but they were certain they hadn’t yet seen everything Adam was capable of.

"His needle..." Ergander muttered. "Ever since he escaped from the Dark Field, he hasn’t used it even once."

"Indeed." Blafor nodded deeply. "It’s as if he’s forgotten about it. But if there’s ever a moment to remember, it’s now!"

Blafor and Ergander were right, as the next scene proved.

A bright blue flash streaked across the rocky plain, causing all the Lords to look in the same direction.

Everyone expected the demons to tear Adam to pieces, but something prevented that from happening.

BLAST!

The energy burst hurled the gray demons aside. Nearly a hundred of them, those closest to the blast, were instantly reduced to nothing. The raging energy incinerated them, leaving not even a handful of ashes behind.

Cracks rippled across the ground, shattering the rocky plain and transforming the area into a battlefield fit for a fierce, perhaps historic, battle.

"RGGHHH!!!"

The demons remaining in the distance roared, digging their claws into the ground to hold their ground.

The wind currents raced at tremendous speed in all directions, shattering rocks into fragments and leaving gashes on the monsters’ bodies.

"What the...?" Midgar’s expression froze as he stared at the cloud of dust covering the site of the energy burst.

"No..."

"That’s impossible..."

"He... He should already be dead!"

His shouts were meaningless, for now all eyes were fixed on the figure hidden behind the veil of dust.

Whoooooosh!

With the next gust of wind, everyone saw the aftermath of the blast and the demons’ attack.

"Agh..."

Adam took a deep breath as he slowly blinked.

A green gleam flashed across his blue eyes as they filled with light and a captivating depth like the ocean floor.

The blue threads swayed slowly to his right and left as they finished their work.

A long black robe covered his wounded and exhausted body, fluttering in the gusts of wind.

His bare feet stood firmly on the ground amid the shattered rocks, while his weapon was clenched in his strong grip.

The long blue needle with a blade wide on one side was the main change that had come over him, and only now did Adam realize that all this time he had been out of his mind.

"This battle..." Adam muttered as he looked around.

His gaze fell on the demons who were in no hurry to approach, then he looked at Midgar, and finally turned his gaze to the needle.

"I forgot, but how? Why didn’t I remember that I still had you? Why didn’t I ever think to use my needle...?"

Silence lasted a few seconds before a warm smile spread across Adam’s face.

"I see. The Path Construct and you..."

Adam stared at the blade.

"You had it harder than the others, didn’t you?"

Suddenly, a voice Adam hadn’t heard in quite a while rang out.

’Well, what can I say? Power often demands sacrifices. I had to do it, otherwise, all that energy would have simply shattered your bones.’

The Silver Weaver appeared before Adam with his long blue hair.

"You’ve changed. So... All this time, my reward, my new power for the Third Grand Star, wasn’t the blue threads at all, right?"

The Silver Weaver nodded with a smug grin.

"Yes. I am your power, just as I was at the very beginning. And... Silvana was right."

"Agh?" Adam was confused.

The Silver Weaver smirked.

"You can defeat Adam, and you will do so because you’ll fight to the end, but not alone, but together with me. Otherwise, I’ll never accept this victory."

Adam smiled, lowering his gaze.

"Good. If I’m going to win, it has to be this way."

Midgar sensed that something was wrong.

’That needle... Why did he summon it only now? WHY?!’

His gaze filled with rage as he swung his poleaxe, giving his order to his army:

"Kill him! That is my order! Kill him right now!!!"

The demons’ red eyes flashed as they all continued their attack. They had already knocked Adam to the ground once and nearly killed him. They were going to do it again.

"Huh, look at them." The Silver Weaver chuckled, watching the monsters. "They think they can defeat you. Fools!"

Adam sighed.

"Then, let’s show them just how much things have changed."

Clutch.

Adam gripped the hilt of his needle tighter as the Silver Weaver vanished.

"I can keep fighting until my last drop of blood, but..." Adam’s eyes grew colder. "None of you are worthy of it."

Before the demons could reach Adam, he swung his needle as the blue threads emanating from the hilt began to tremble.

A pulse ran along the blade as a bright light shone from the tip.

SLASH!

A simple, horizontal cut through the air left a trailing blue line, which in the next instant unfolded into a high-speed slash.

The blue blade swept through the army of demons, slicing hundreds of them in half with a single stroke.

The demons on the other side froze in fear, but Adam paid them no mind.

He raised his gaze toward Midgar, toward the Viscount who would be the first Lord he would kill.
