Endless Evolution: Last Star Chapter 1895: Telekinesis and a crack on the glass

A single massive slash was more than enough to cut the Blue Jellyfish in half. Adam was certain of that.

Even if it regenerated, it would attack again and again. The Blue Jellyfish simply wouldn’t break out of its endless cycle of regeneration until it had exhausted all its energy.

But the Blue Jellyfish understood this as well.

Tremble! Tremble! Tremble!

The aura waves emanating from the Blue Jellyfish grew more intense, as they were now filled with energy that permeated everything nearby.

Since the Dark Crabs had managed to drag Adam closer to the bottom, there were plenty of rocks, corals, and bones from monsters that had perished earlier.

Adam didn’t think much of it, since he wasn’t planning on using rocks to defeat a giant jellyfish anyway. Also, the farther from the shore, the deeper the bottom became, so they were in shallow water.

But he simply didn’t know yet that the Blue Jellyfish was capable of more than just regenerating.

"Agh...?" Adam blinked as the rocks and massive corals began to move.

Rushing through the water, they quickly formed a wall in front of the jellyfish, and a blue glow ran along the edges of the wall.

’Is that telekinesis?’ Adam thought as his slash reached its target.

BAM!

A shockwave rippled through the water as debris flew off in all directions. Adam narrowed his eyes, hoping that would be enough, even with the wall in the way.

But instead of the slash cutting the Blue Jellyfish in half, it only destroyed part of the wall.

For a moment, Adam’s face froze as his eyes scanned the wall.

"Seriously? Just how durable are these rocks and corals? I’m already sick of this jellyfish! How can it have such annoying abilities? Telekinesis and regeneration, damn it!"

Adam’s body trembled as he decided to retrieve the Obsidian Compass first. He wanted to defeat this jellyfish, but he couldn’t risk losing such a valuable item.

Whooooosh!

In a few leaps, Adam appeared next to the compass as he prepared to grab it.

At that very moment, the massive wall in front of the Blue Jellyfish trembled, splitting apart dozens of rocks and corals.

A blue glow ran through them as they all rained down on Adam. The Blue Jellyfish’s telekinesis allowed it not only to defend itself, but to actively attack as well.

Adam’s pupils narrowed as he swung his needle.

He sliced through a massive rock, but two red corals following it slammed into him, knocking him aside.

At the same time, the tentacles shot out to the side, but not to attack Adam, who was dodging the rocks and corals.

Snatch!

The tentacles grabbed the Obsidian Compass as the Blue Jellyfish pulled it toward itself.

When Adam saw this, his patience ran out.

"Alright, I’m not going to put up with this anymore!"

The wings woven from amber, dark, and white threads unfolded on his back as he leaned forward, preparing to end it all with a single flap of his wings.

However, the Blue Jellyfish had no intention of running away, and it had its reasons.

Whooooooosh!

Everything around them, from pebbles and sand to huge rocks, trembled as a bright light emanated from the Blue Jellyfish.

Streams of gray sand, corals, stones, and even monster bones flowed toward the Blue Jellyfish, surrounding it in a solid sphere.

The worst part for Adam wasn’t even that the Blue Jellyfish had hidden behind the barrier again, but that he didn’t know what was happening inside.

"Wait, what if there’s some important resource inside the compass? That would make sense, considering what Krador asked of me in exchange. I should have figured this out sooner! I can’t let this jellyfish devour my compass!"

Tremble!

Adam’s wings trembled as, in a bright amber flash, he surged forward.

Several tentacles and floating corals tried to stop him, but he was too fast. The energy flows emanating from his wings shattered them under the pressure.

With a look full of determination, Adam thrust his needle forward, straight into the crack between the rocks and corals in the protective sphere.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Cracks spread across the sphere as it was about to shatter into countless pieces.

However...

A blue glow ran across the surface, pulling the rocks closer together to seal the cracks.

"It’s trying to defend itself even in a situation like this? No... It’s buying time!"

Clutch.

Adam clenched his fist as the purple and dark energy flowed over his hand.

He didn’t want to use the Ancient and Dark energy so soon, but he simply had no other choice. He couldn’t lose the Obsidian Compass.

BAM!

Adam’s fist slammed into the stone layer, as the dark-and-purple blast burst outward in a powerful fiery stream, becoming almost as large as the barrier itself.

With the next energy pulse, the entire sphere collapsed, shattering into debris, dust billowed into the water as the blue glow hidden behind it revealed itself.

"There you are." Adam narrowed his eyes, staring at the Blue Jellyfish through the drifting debris.

The tentacles rushed toward him from all sides, but Adam had already realized he had underestimated his opponent.

He wouldn’t make that mistake again.

Step.

Adam took a step forward as white energy surged out to his left and right in powerful currents.

"One strike and it’ll all be over."

Just as the tentacles were about to crash down on Adam, he took another step forward as the white path was carved out, its endpoint lying behind the jellyfish.

Whooooooosh!

In the blink of an eye, Adam covered dozens of meters, momentarily leaving a void behind him as the water rushed to fill the hollows.

The Blue Jellyfish flinched, preparing to attack, but it didn’t realize that Adam was already behind it.

His bare eyes flashed as, at that very moment, the Blue Jellyfish’s massive body trembled, exploding into hundreds of pieces.

Even with its strong regenerative abilities, it couldn’t regenerate from that state.

"This turned out to be harder than I thought," Adam sighed as he turned back. "Good thing I managed to deal with this before—"

He froze, staring wide-eyed at the Obsidian Compass, its cap cracked.

He hadn’t lost the compass, but he’d damaged it without even realizing it.
