Bologue is unexpectedly swept up in a boisterous parade of undead, who greet him warmly. Meanwhile, a massive battle erupts in the Butcher's Pit as hordes of undead, seemingly from the Undying Club and seeking revenge, overwhelm the Heartless and other factions. Bologue observes the chaos and learns the attack is a response to angering Sai Zong.

Fuen carried the Song of Wind Fall, attacking the Land of Eternal Night head-on. Now there’s an internal chaos erupting, the Regent King and other High Tier Night Race members haven’t appeared, but the Rebellious Royal Court’s countermeasures have already been activated.

The Butcher’s Pit seems to have become the focal point of the battlefield, continuous screeches came from the sky, flocks of Wind-Eroded Birds clad in Iron Feather swooped toward the ground, while thousands of Bloodthirsty ran in the shadows of Royal City’s architecture.

They are all alchemical creatures with secondary specialization. Bombs within their bodies explode upon death, igniting huge bursts of fire around the Butcher’s Pit.

This alone doesn’t count as the elite force of the Rebellious Royal Court. Following the ripple of explosions, viscous flesh wantonly sprayed, mercilessly transforming inorganic matter into writhing flesh constructs wherever it reached.

Under the collaboration of Gray Trade Association and the Sect of Sorcha Corruption, the Butcher’s Pit is gradually turning into a gigantic blood cultivation vessel, nurturing the Extraordinary Disaster: Eternal Rotting Land.

Bologue watched all this from afar, trying to calm himself down. This operation has completely spiraled out of his control, with the situation spinning wildly beyond the limits of human understanding.

"This is... too insane."

Hinda couldn’t help but exclaim, when compared to her past experiences, what was happening now was simply insignificant.

Any single disaster out there could destroy a city, affect a nation, but now they are compressed together, tearing and raging against each other.

Bologue, not ruled by rage, rationally asked, "Sai Zong... isn’t Sai Zong afraid of completely awakening the Sin of Wrath?"

It’s a war between Undying and Undying, every person that falls is succeeded by another arising, barring external influences, if they wish, the slaughter within the Butcher’s Pit could last for days, months without end.

Terrifying blood, terrifying flesh, terrifying death.

All of this can be seen as a sacrifice to the Sin of Wrath, awakening him from his long slumber, transforming back into a Celestial God of fury, leading his followers on a crimson expedition to incinerate the continent.

Bologue was unwilling to see the rise of the Rebellious Royal Court or the Dark Iron Curtain cloaking the land again. Similarly, he didn’t wish to witness the reenactment of Scorched Earth’s Anger.

"Regarding this part, I am unclear," Serey shook his head, "Perhaps Sai Zong has some method of his own?"

Bologue retorted, "Do you believe that?"

Serey remained silent, with his hands behind his back, as if the war before him was irrelevant to him... indeed, it was irrelevant; he had already rescued Olivia.

A crisp sound of glass shattering came from the center of the Butcher’s Pit. Strange rifts appeared in the corpse mountain and sea of blood, at first glance, Bologue thought it was the Throat of the Abyss tearing the Curved Pathway Rift, but quickly realized it was the disintegrating reality.

Bologue grew tense, "Reality here is about to collapse."

Hinda asked, having never experienced a similar event, "So? What will happen?"

Palmer murmured, "It’s simple, the Material Realm will overlap with the Ethereal Realm..."

Before the words fell, everyone exchanged tense glances. When looking towards the center of the Butcher’s Pit again, the Dark Void rose from the ground, along with the crumbling reality and the massive influx of Ether, the Dark Void grew larger and seemed to swallow all the Undying within.

Serey stood rigidly, watching the darkness unequivocally, according to Nesanel’s words, as the material realm overlaps with the Ethereal Realm, the Night King will rise from his imprisoned throne.

The Heartless and Undying slaughter each other, a broken band stubbornly played tunes, Wind-Eroded Birds and Bloodthirsty rushed endlessly, elite Night Race reinforcements came incessantly, Bologue and others stood on the island’s rocks, pondering the next choice, far away Melissa and Devon braved the terrifying Ether turbulence, dug up rubble, rescuing the woeful blood citizens.

The Song of Wind Fall approached, the howling wind seemed to weave a mournful requiem.

Serey looked at the clamorous world and murmured.

"Sai Zong... can I trust you, Sai Zong?"

The voice dissipated into the wind, the stench of blood spread, and vanished before the towering Gate of Radiance.

Behind the gate, Sai Zong stood within the empty armory, hesitating to move forward. He knew that once he crossed this gate, he couldn’t turn back, some things would be salvaged, while others would head towards the Abyss.

Sai Zong took a deep breath and whispered, "I haven’t been this tense for a long time... I remember the last time was during my first duel."

His gaze became lost.

"I recall having only a stone back then, while the opponent had a shield and a long knife. I deftly maneuvered behind him and smashed his skull with the stone."

Sai Zong softly recited, "Strike after strike, continuously, until I grasped my fate once more in my own hands."

Looking at the figure standing by the gate, Sai Zong asked, "Leviathan, do you truly believe anyone can control their own fate?"

"Instead of that, why not consider whether fate actually exists?"

Leviathan, wearing his bulky spacesuit, leaned against the gate.

"You doubt fate?"

"Perhaps."

"Why do you doubt fate?"

"Maybe because I dislike my fate," Leviathan said, "If my fate were perfect, perhaps I would become its loyal advocate."

"Alas, my fate isn’t perfect, and I am not one to settle, thus I can only find a way to shatter it."

Sai Zong walked forward, unlike other Undying, he hadn’t donned Immortal Armor, his attire remained as it always had, with his scarred upper body naked, and his lower body clad in rusted skirt armor. He didn’t resemble a warrior, more like a survivor crawled from the pile of dead.

"Fate..."

Sai Zong mused the profound term, yearningly looking back at his homeland.

He once again queried, "You can bring me peace and a place for the homeless to hide, right?"

"Of course."

Hearing this response, the pressure inside Sai Zong lightened somewhat, even the heat beneath his chest waned.

Leviathan said, "Is there anything else you want to ask? Sai Zong, once you pass through this gate, everything is destined."

Sai Zong hesitated for a moment, curiously asked, "I do have one question."

"Ask away."

"Who are you?"

Sai Zong recalled the face under the helmet, during that moment, Sai Zong couldn’t believe his identity, simultaneously realizing an invisible conspiracy had long enveloped everyone.

In this final moment, Sai Zong wanted clarity on this matter, he pondered, "Are you the blood kin of the Devils, Leviathan of Envy, or... King Solomon?"

Leviathan paused; he didn’t shy away from the question, instead he candidly said, "I am Leviathan, also King Solomon, yet I am not Leviathan, nor King Solomon."

"That’s not an answer."

"Just a response that you neither understand nor find satisfying according to your comprehension."

"Is that it?"

Leviathan gestured for silence, "Ever heard of Schrodinger’s Cat?"

Sai Zong paused, of course, he understood this concept; a member from the Undying Club had an undying nature connected to it, causing each time waking him to repeatedly open and close the door until it refreshed him being alive.

"Certainly."

"Indeed, just like that," Leviathan cheerfully responded, "Now isn’t the time to reveal the answer, nor the time to decide who I am."

Sai Zong pondered for a while, finally asked, "When will the time for deciding come?"

"Not far away."
