Bologue and Palmer return from their mission to the Land of Secrets, with Bologue now a famous figure after his actions. Despite the recognition, Bologue feels the weight of expectations and the increased danger his fame brings. Holt reveals that Bologue's Undead nature makes him an ideal symbol of hope for the coming war. As they prepare to depart, Olivia arrives and announces her intention to accompany them.

Olivia Villeries, the Daughter of Serey, the legitimate member of the Pure-blood Night Race of the Eternal Night Empire, is one of the only two entities not bound by the Dawn Oath.

Bologue had complex feelings towards Olivia, from an inexplicable meeting years ago to fighting side by side recently. As a soldier who fully experienced the wrath of scorched earth, Bologue instinctively felt a certain irrational liking towards those who shared bloodshed and major events with him.

Facing the current Olivia, Bologue’s vigilance towards her lessened, and their reputation shifted from hostility and aloofness to a degree of friendliness.

"Oh, Olivia."

Palmer greeted Olivia nonchalantly, transitioning completely from his previous high alert to friendship.

Unlike Bologue’s lingering suspicions, Palmer, with his carefree nature, had entirely forgotten the family blood feud within a few days. Bologue wasn’t sure what Palmer and Olivia went through or what battles they faced after he left, but it was clear that Olivia’s reputation with Palmer was much closer than with him.

That’s expected; Palmer had such a relationship with Serey before. After a few shared hangovers, Palmer wished to live directly in the Undying Club, enjoying free housing and alcohol while getting rebates from the Order Bureau.

"Hmm."

Olivia maintained her usual aloofness, like her slow and cold blood.

"Returning to Oubos? Using the Order Bureau’s channel?" Bologue asked curiously, "Did you reach some agreement with the Order Bureau?"

Since the end of the major battle days ago, Bologue rarely saw Olivia, but it was apparent that she had unknowingly blended into the Order Bureau team.

Those captivating red eyes would attract some unnecessary trouble for her, for which she relied on her Etherial Concealment reaching the Extreme Realm and her mysteriously changing Secret Energy, hiding in the shadows most of the time, only appearing when necessary.

Bologue remembered Olivia met Nesanel at the battle’s end. Thinking of this, Bologue couldn’t help but admire Olivia’s courage for facing Nesanel directly, not fearing him bloodlusted enough to eliminate another Night Race member...

Olivia survived and possibly fought alongside Nesanel for a while. The facts were apparent.

"Almost," Olivia nodded in response, "I will assist you in the battle against the Rebellious Royal Court."

"What’s the cost?"

Though Bologue considered them friends, just barely, "What do you want to gain from the Order Bureau?"

Olivia tiredly glanced at Bologue, helplessly replying, "Are you always like this? Relentlessly doubting others, don’t you find living like this exhausting?"

"It’s just vigilant instincts from a professional standpoint," Bologue replied bluntly, "This world needs people like me, overly reactive and sensitive."

Indeed, if employees were as carefree as Palmer, Bologue couldn’t imagine what the Order Bureau would become.

Olivia sighed, knowing she couldn’t outargue Bologue.

"No cost, this isn’t a transaction but cooperation, a mutually beneficial collaboration."

Olivia couldn’t hide the fatigue in her eyes, unclear what she had experienced these days... likely intense negotiations with the Order Bureau, work that Holt should have handled since Nesanel wasn’t around.

"If I have any ulterior motives, I just want to rectify the mistakes I’ve made," Olivia’s voice turned sharp, "The Rebellious Royal Court shouldn’t exist, and the blood debt committed by the Regent King shouldn’t have happened."

In this tense atmosphere, Palmer stood silently by the side, while Bologue, after a moment of silence, reached out a hand to Olivia.

"Welcome."

Olivia’s gaze showed some surprise; she hadn’t anticipated Bologue’s attitude to change so quickly.

"Hmm."

Olivia shook Bologue’s hand, even through gloves, Bologue could feel a slight chill from that soft flesh, reminding him of the first time he held Aimou’s hand. The coldness of the steel shell was the same.

The Ether injected into the door, the Curved Path Gate began to operate. Under the glow of Miracle Power, the gate trembled slightly; after high-intensity operation for consecutive days, this temporary Curved Path Gate was on the verge of being overwhelmed.

Before departing, Bologue asked again, "Do you have any plans afterward?"

Plans?

Olivia chuckled inwardly; besides the Order Bureau, what other plans could she have going to Oubos... Oh, he meant this.

"Do you mean the Undying Club?"

"Sort of," Bologue rationally analyzed, "Ahead lies not only the main forces of the Rebellious Royal Court but also the remaining Night Race and Night King of the Land of Eternal Night. This could be a historical reckoning, severing the unresolved troubles of the Dawn War cleanly."

Bologue specified, "Leave the professional tasks to the professionals. In resolving issues within our race, Serey is a top-notch expert; his achievements are evident to all."

Olivia laughed, "Are you mocking him?"
