Endless Debt Chapter 1370 - 114: Time for Revenge
Previously on Endless Debt...
Light radiates, illuminating all things.
The intense heat dried Bologue’s cheeks, causing his skin to crack, as if he were bearing a blazing sun. The blade in his hand, black as night, also ignited in a roaring flame, much like the legendary Fire Sword of judgment.
There was no more reservation, and absolutely no mercy.
Bologue looked at Yidir below, and the twisted flesh of the Beast of the Herd extending from the Material Realm. Surprisingly, Bologue no longer felt anger, but a sense of sacred tranquility, even his gaze was filled with a sense of compassion.
The tense nerves relaxed, as did the hardened muscles. Bologue’s expression was no longer cold, but was tinged with a significant smile.
For a moment, Bologue truly seemed to transform into the Angel wielding the Fire Sword from the tales. What he was about to do was not slaughter or revenge, but redemption filled with pity.
"What a pitiful existence..."
Bologue sighed softly, as endless flames surged forth from the blade of grudge, enveloping Bologue and continuing to stretch behind him, like the grand wings of a Celestial God, resembling the long tail flame of a meteor falling.
What followed seemed like predetermined fate, without any twists or surprises.
The seemingly slow Fire Meteor accelerated its descent, like a Giant Sword slashing with a thunderous roar.
The bursting flames formed rippling waves that spread, the blazing wind and fiery waves scorching the colossal limbs of the Beast of the Herd, spreading swiftly like a virus, incinerating the flesh they touched.
In the blinding radiance, Yidir’s body fell backward, but he did not fall completely. Bologue caught his waist with one hand, while his other hand gripped the blazing Fire Sword, piercing through Yidir’s chest.
This time, the forbidden power of flesh could not revive Yidir. The wound on his chest quickly turned black, carbonizing, with flames constantly erupting from the cracked skin. His whole being resembled a rotten wood burnt through, embers enveloped in ashes, fleeing his body like a soul being released.
Yidir looked at Bologue, whose face was full of compassion, and a strong sense of anger emerged in his remaining consciousness. He hated Bologue’s gaze, as if in Bologue’s eyes he was the most pitiful fellow.
But was he truly not pitiful?
As cracks covered his body, more and more flames sprouted from Yidir’s interior, his eyes now melted, leaving only black eye sockets, flickering with flames.
Yidir’s vessel was on the brink of destruction. Because of this, the black tar fled his body, and the power Beelzebub had bestowed upon Yidir dissipated.
Amidst the darkness, Yidir gradually came to his senses. The anger faded, and he sadly realized that perhaps he was really as pitiful as Bologue’s gaze suggested.
Everyone was like this, just slaves of the Devil.
Thinking of this, Yidir was enveloped by immense sadness. Fortunately, such grief would not last long, for the flames were purifying his body bit by bit, until the last nerve, the last shred of consciousness, turned to ashes in the intense heat.
A crisp cracking sound emanated from Yidir’s body as it broke apart, fragmenting into flying ashes in Bologue’s embrace.
The fleshly limbs beneath his feet also burned away into dust.
Bologue clutched the Fire Sword, walking towards the border of the Ethereal Realm and the Material Realm. Despite still some distance away, Bologue could still feel the surges from the outside world.
In Saqin’s memories, Bologue found where the Crystal Core of Light Radiance was located. It was part of the celestial phenomena, and also a part of maintaining the vast Light Radiance.
Now that Bologue had taken it, the blazing sea of flames protecting the Golden Palace weakened rapidly. The flesh of the Beast of the Herd broke through the barriers, completely enveloping the Golden Palace, its endless limbs eagerly peeling away heavy bricks, devouring it like a school of sharks.
"Well done, Bologue."
A familiar voice rang out. Bologue looked across the vast Icefield, where Leviathan’s bloated figure gradually appeared, striding towards Bologue.
Bologue felt this wasn’t a good time for a chat. The Golden Palace was being destroyed, he had to do something. Leviathan seemed to understand Bologue’s tension and reassured him, "No worries, the situation is still under control."
Seeing Leviathan with such confidence, Bologue guessed that in this incident, all of Leviathan’s goals had been achieved... this guy always seemed to win, effortlessly.
"Where is the Initial Scroll?"
Bologue asked in return, having glimpsed the true nature of the Initial Scroll in Saqin’s memory. While he didn’t know much, he was certain that the information hidden on the tablet was crucial.
The Initial Scroll came from the mysterious Ethereal Realm, and it was by deciphering knowledge from the tablet that Hill became King Solomon.
"I have obtained it," Leviathan said, "Do you plan to carry that heavy thing and walk away step by step?"
He added, "Don’t worry, Bologue, you will get what you want, and I will get what I want."
"It’s time you fulfilled your promise, Leviathan."
Bologue looked into the distance at the edge of the Ethereal Realm. The Beast of the Herd had completely invaded the Golden Palace, the spiral staircase buried under flesh, tons of meat blocks franticly pushing into the Ethereal Realm.
