Bologue, wielding a flaming sword, delivers a final, compassionate blow to Yidir, reducing him to ashes. With Yidir defeated, Bologue retrieves the Crystal Core of Light Radiance, causing the Golden Palace's defenses to crumble. Leviathan appears, confirming he has obtained the Initial Scroll and hinting that Bologue will receive his promised reward.

Without the protection of the scorching light, the entire Golden Palace was filled with flesh and blood. Bologue guessed that the corpse of King Solomon sitting on the throne should have been completely devoured by now. Thinking of this, Bologue felt somewhat regretful as he had always wanted to admire that great existence... even if it was just his corpse.

"I know, I know, but before that, you must leave the Ether realm," Leviathan pushed Bologue’s shoulder, "otherwise, you might not be able to leave anytime soon."

Bologue had an inkling of what Leviathan intended to do. Bologue’s own battle had ended, but Leviathan’s had not. Everything that was happening now was just the prelude to the conflict. The devils had already torn off their masks, and there was no need to maintain that false friendliness.

Raising the burning Fire Sword, Bologue walked toward that endless wall of flesh. As he gradually exited the Ether realm, the flames on the blade also gradually weakened, until finally only a faint flame remained burning.

Even King Solomon needed the Ether realm to sustain the burning of the light, let alone Bologue. The ether remaining in his body could only ignite a flame of this level, but it was enough to cut a path in this mass of flesh.

"Actually, you could have just asked me directly."

Suddenly, Leviathan’s shout came from behind, "The relationship between us is not that of mortal enemies, but allies who can cooperate, just like this time."

Leviathan said as he spread his arms, unusually excited today, his joy evident in his expression.

Bologue turned his head to glance at Leviathan. He ignored Leviathan’s words and instead questioned him, "You can’t directly interfere with the world, so how are you going to solve all of this?"

"King Solomon is a very vengeful person," Leviathan waved his hand, "I don’t need to take action; he will destroy these enemies himself."

"But he is already dead."

Saqin is dead, Hill is dead too. It was precisely because of their deaths that Bologue could glimpse the echoes of their souls in the storm.

"But his vengeance continues!"

Leviathan pointed upward, at the shattered celestial phenomena.

Without the core daylight, the balance between the celestial bodies was disrupted. They drew towards each other like a vortex, moving toward the center of the heavy rings of stars. Each approach brewed terrifying forces.

Only waiting for the complete explosion.

He didn’t plan to say much more about this, simply turning resolutely and cleaving open a road of ashes with his sword.

Flesh, flames, ashes, death.

With the extinguishing of the scorching light, the brightness that had burned for countless years in the Abandoned Land finally dissipated, and at the same time, the lament of the Beast of the Herd also ceased.

All the flesh converged towards the remnants of the Golden Palace, the once amber-like translucent flesh completely darkened, and this terrible creature broke free from its last shackle, moving its body wantonly, retaliating against all its enemies in all directions.

"Retreat! Retreat!"

At the Desperate Outpost, Yas shouted to everyone. With the protection of the Sixth Group, the sturdy Ethereal Barrier saved one life after another, but it couldn’t save the land beneath their feet.

Under intense crossfire, many turrets had overheated and self-destructed, the Giant Crossbow had exhausted its arrows, and stood motionless to the side. Not to mention with more and more flesh encroaching, the Desperate Outpost was collapsing inch by inch, like a cracked ice sheet.

They were already close to losing the high ground. As the scorching light fully extinguished, a pitch-black cloud shrouded everyone as Yas, momentarily dazed, made a decision.

Taking advantage of the vertical lift platform not being destroyed, Yas directed the remaining personnel to evacuate to the ground, with a few team members staying with him, trying their best to gain more time for others.

Suddenly, a gust of thick, rank air blew towards them, making it hard for Yas and his group to open their eyes. Once their vision cleared, countless crimson eyeballs were staring at them.

Without the constraint of the scorching light, the Beast of the Herd approached the Desperate Outpost, scrutinizing this group of ants that made it suffer.

"Doomed... doomed..."

Qico, looking at the Beast of the Herd that’s right at hand, couldn’t stop her legs from trembling, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes, almost on the verge of crying.

The situation of the others was no better than Qico’s. Ordinarily, they were the Violence Suppression Action Group that made enemies tremble with fear, but in front of the Beast of the Herd, everyone was like a piece of talking meat.

"Go quickly!"

A loud shout shattered the silence. Hart, raising a shield, grabbed Qico, throwing her heavily onto the waiting lift platform behind them.

Qico landed directly on top, and Kemp on the lift platform didn’t hesitate, immediately starting the mechanism, swiftly raising the platform along a vertical track.

But no matter how fast they were, it was no match for the Beast of the Herd, which slowly raised a limb, smashing most of the Desperate Outpost with a casual strike. The cliffs crumbled one after another, and the fissures quickly spread to the vertical track, with the steel shaking violently, as if it would break at the next second.

Yas and Hart feebly launched Ethereal Shocks to attract the attention of the Beast of the Herd. They succeeded, but they also failed.

The Beast of the Herd did indeed notice these few ants struggling in the wreckage, but for it, killing ants and destroying the lift platform were not contradictory tasks. It had countless limbs and could easily do both simultaneously.
