Endless Debt Chapter 1353 - 109: Extraordinary War

Initial Scroll.
When proposing this trade, Bologue himself wasn’t sure; he had never seen it and didn’t know what it was. Even though Saqin repeatedly mentioned its importance, who knows what these scholars actually consider it to be?
Is it the legendary Holy Scripture that contains all the techniques of King Solomon? If so, this trade is a huge win for Bologue, but what if it’s not?
What if the so-called Initial Scroll is merely an object like a spiritual sustenance or a vessel of faith?
Like those fanatics in the Order of Truth, they see truth as a deity and knowledge as a religion, thereby creating idols that symbolize knowledge.
If it’s the latter, then Bologue’s efforts will be all for naught, but, unfortunately, he doesn’t have the power to choose. All he can do now is gamble, to bet on that slim chance.
"Are you sure?" Leviathan reiterated, "Are you sure this is what you want?"
Bologue didn’t hesitate and grabbed Leviathan’s hand, indicating the deal was complete.
"I am sure."
For a moment, Bologue felt some invisible shackles link him to Leviathan, a connection more ephemeral than being entangled or umbilical.
"The deal is made."
As Leviathan spoke, many protruding bumps suddenly appeared on his spacesuit, as if the bizarre creatures underneath were all agitated, but the next second, the protrusions smoothed out, leaving only Leviathan’s cold laughter echoing.
Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid crawled up Bologue’s body, forming a solid armor. A twisted helmet covered Bologue’s face, and a slightly muffled voice came from its gaps.
Whether due to his identity as the Chosen One or the mutual benefit of the deal, Bologue now had to stand firmly on Leviathan’s side, helping him destroy the Golden Palace.
"After all, the Golden Palace cannot be saved."
Bologue thought inwardly; the Beast of the Herd was doing everything it could to suppress Luminescence so that its flesh and blood could completely invade the Golden Palace and seize King Solomon’s legacy, while Luminescence executed its original command to burn everything to ashes.
The balance of destruction had been disrupted; all Bologue could do was secure greater benefits before everything turned to ash.
"The Regent King is entangled, which is good news. He is a difficult Seeker of Glory to deal with, and they are now switching others to invade. This means your upcoming pressure will be much lighter."
Leviathan seemed omniscient, aware of every movement on the battlefield.
"Beelzebub is coming here furiously."
Leviathan moved over, his heavy hands resting on Bologue’s shoulders, Bologue’s face reflected in the golden mask.
"Luminescence makes the Beast of the Herd miserable. Even if, one day, it can fully suppress Luminescence, it still cannot leave here through the blood pool until it’s fully suppressed."
Blood pool? Bologue remembered this capability, just like the Curved Path Gate, allowing Beelzebub to make a long-distance descent through the flesh, blood, and blood pool of believers.
Bologue had encountered Beelzebub this way more than once.
"I guess, Beelzebub wants to descend personally this time; fortunately, her pieces here are not many. Kill all those pieces, drive out her will, and I’ll help you get the Initial Scroll and solve the Beast of the Herd."
"Descend personally?" Bologue questioned, "How will she do it?"
The devil cannot descend in peak form into the Material Realm, let alone interfere directly with it. The reason the two could now stand before Bologue and interfere with the Golden Palace is purely because this place is an overlap point between the Material Realm and the Ethereal Realm.
"Find a vessel and infuse her will and power into it. You’ve seen similar operations many times," Leviathan said.
Bologue nodded slightly. He had witnessed a similar situation with the First Seat, who directly enjoyed Beelzebub’s power... but even he was torn apart by Xilin.
"We can’t directly interfere with the Material Realm, so we have to play tricks. However, this also comes with a price. Just like your Condenser advancement, the soul is like a vessel, and only the strongest souls can bear a stronger Alchemy Matrix.
Our power will squeeze the Alchemy Matrix’s existence, like pouring into an already filled cup... no, more like continuing to add water to a filled bottle, it will expand and even explode."
Leviathan gradually opened his arms, as if listening to the whispers on the battlefield, and continued, "Beelzebub’s power will burst the vessel, but even before the vessel dies, the force it releases is enough to complete the task."
Bologue asked coldly, "Am I such a piece as well?"
"Of course."
Leviathan said straightforwardly, "The power of the devil is incredibly forbidden and rejected by the Material Realm, otherwise we would have descended long ago, wouldn’t we? Small-capacity pieces, merely coming in direct contact with our power, will be burst, dead. Those with slightly larger capacity merely last a bit longer.
By analogy, chess pieces that can accommodate our power to some extent are all High Tier Condensers. They are far more useful alive than dead."
"As for you, as I mentioned, you are my most valued piece, the White King on my chessboard."
Leviathan hesitated for a moment but still confessed, "Maybe someday, I’ll use you as a vessel too, but trust me, Bologue, I will use you at the most critical place."
