Evan and the Order Bureau face a desperate battle against the flame-resistant undead and their creators. As the frontline collapses and high-ranking Night Race creatures emerge, Evan prepares for a fight to the death. Just as the battle escalates, the Ninth Group of Atheists, led by Carnegie, arrives via a long-distance teleportation, immediately ordering the execution of the enemies. Meanwhile, Nesanel observes Maria of the Iron Tree and Steel Branches, surrounded by masked figures in a mysterious location, as they gather information and prepare for the next step in their calculations.

Bologue was convinced that he had truly gotten accustomed to the various negative states brought by Curved Path Shuttling. Previously, he would feel unbalanced and nauseous, but this time he only felt a bit dizzy, and within seconds he returned to perfect condition.

It could also be because he had injected too much potion, those expensive alchemy potions were rampaging tirelessly through his veins, flushing through networks of capillaries and cleaning organs.

"Where do you think we are now?"

The surroundings were gray and murky, shadows enveloped every corner. Bologue didn’t act rashly but instead prepared for battle, taking the chance to joke in his mind.

"The Golden Palace."

Aimou’s voice echoed in his mind, with an unmistakable excitement.

"How can you be so sure...?"

Bologue’s question hadn’t even been finished when the building started to shake violently, almost causing him to fall. Though visibility was poor, from the series of cracking sounds, Bologue could sense the area around him was collapsing bit by bit, turning to dust.

In the chaos, a wave of intense heat attacked Bologue from the back. Its temperature was so high that the moment it touched him, it burned his clothes to ashes, leaving his exposed skin in patches of burns, some blood and flesh scorched and clotted.

The Ethereal Barrier immediately arose and strengthened, as Bologue endured the acute pain and swiftly turned his head. He saw pure radiance flowing behind the cracks of the broken wall, so dazzling that Bologue felt as if he were inside a volcano about to erupt.

"Really made it in!"

A wave of surprise surged in Bologue’s mind. Although the mission was going smoothly, there were constant surprises, yet claiming it wasn’t smooth would be inaccurate, given that Bologue really overcame layers of obstacles to step into this place.

He regulated the ether, controlling the surrounding rubble to block the cracks in the walls, proceeding to pour Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid into it, filling every crevice.

Bologue didn’t know how long this would last, but it should be enough for him to transfer out.

"Now Saqin’s words seem more believable."

While Bologue was running, he didn’t forget to glance at the badge on his collar, not thinking he had accidentally entered the Golden Palace, but rather that Saqin’s authority was taking effect.

The lament of the Beast of the Herd continued. Now Bologue was within its body, in the core of all this, when that howling came, it was as if thousands of sharp blades repeatedly cut through Bologue’s eardrums, piercing the brain along the ear canal.

Vast blood and flesh enveloped the burning Golden Palace. With its movement, the decaying Golden Palace was also squeezed and twisted, the walls continuously cracking, with the High Tower toppling one by one; the great palace, like fragile paper, was being torn apart little by little.

Only the light fire remained loyal in executing King Solomon’s last command, repeatedly burning through proliferating flesh, turning it into tons of ashes. In this cycle of growth and decline, the endless ash actually began to envelop the Golden Palace bit by bit, burying every part of it, only the occasional flash of fire still proclaimed its existence.

Changes from the outside world also affected the interior of the Golden Palace. Bologue stood before a broken corridor, most of the crystal walls shattered and collapsed. Besides the scorching airflow, tons of ash were pouring in, almost completely burying the path forward.

The Rhombus Shield hovered in front of Bologue, trying to clear a path, but these ashes were by no means ordinary. They carried the residual warmth of the light fire and with merely seconds of contact, the Rhombus Shield was heated red, then melted.

Bologue gazed at the deeper road, gray-black and dark, yet in fact filled with terrifying power of burning.

"Aimou, shield my senses," Bologue urged. "There’s no need to endure meaningless pain."

As soon as the words fell, the ether was completely released, as Bologue unleashed his secret energy without worry. His target wasn’t to kill but to gain something; it was time to go all out.

Secret Energy·Commanding Decree attempted to govern the tons of ash, but as soon as the ether touched it, the light fire’s residual warmth seemed capable of burning ether. Bologue could feel his ether rapidly depleting, yet even so, Bologue stirred up thousands of pieces of ash, forming a spiral storm path, clearing a flat ground for Bologue.

Under Ethereal Amplification, Bologue’s speed was as fast as a greyhound. He sprinted all the way, the grievance hidden in the sword scabbard, accompanied by slight collisions, emitted a crisp ring.

Bologue could definitely rely on Void Shedding Sword Oil to get through this ordeal, but earlier, in order to successfully rush to Abyssal Well Ruins, Bologue had consumed a large amount of Void Shedding Sword Oil, and now only a small amount remained in the sword scabbard, enough to support a few more times only. Bologue had to use this precious opportunity at a critical moment.

A rumbling vibration came from the side, revealing the outside scene as a side crystal wall completely collapsed.

With just a glance, Bologue saw the blood-filled stomach lining that wrapped the world, with countless lumps writhing on the crimson surface, as if something was about to burst forth.

Light fire formed fire rings tangled together like nuclear rings, overlapping and encircling the Golden Palace and the approaching flesh in collision.

Amidst the piercing sound, waves of heat with red-hot ashes surged into the corridor, leaving Bologue no time to avoid it. The ashes he governed were thrown out of control, followed by his own entrapment by the ashes, like being tossed into a tumbling washing machine, tumbling madly.
