Qi Meiling listened to everything with interest, she was quite intrigued by his thoughts.

"Interesting, it really seems like a feasible approach, actually. If it succeeds, then you will become a supreme resource for every Dao in existence... I hope you understand how perilous your situation would become if others discovered this secret.."

Lin Feng gave a slight nod, "The things I already possess would make my situation perilous, so I think adding another aspect to it won’t change much for me anyway.."

Lin Feng understood her intention behind saying superficially, this whole predicament he was trying to resolve was because of that.

"Senior, what do you think, is it possible to control this flow of insights? Or do I have to specifically wait for the Eternal Dao Lotus to develop greater consciousness so I can communicate with it directly?"

If he had to do that, then there was no need for him to even infuse the insights into his essence, he could simply remain near others to transmit those insights to them. It wasn’t a problem, actually, since as long as it worked, it would be fine, but the real obstacle was the Eternal Dao Lotus’s consciousness.

The Eternal Dao Lotus didn’t seem to follow the same principles as other supreme herbs, and it wasn’t even surprising, knowing its origin.

In a sense, it couldn’t even be considered a spirit herb, it was a unique existence which transcended the laws of the Heavenly Realm.

Because of this, it seemed that its strength didn’t affect its maturation, so waiting for it to develop a fully awakened consciousness was simply wishful thinking... not to mention, even if the Eternal Dao Lotus favoured him, it didn’t mean that it would also favour those close to him and grant them insights.

There was a reason why no one had been able to obtain the Eternal Dao Lotus till now.

"I don’t think you should wait that long.." Qi Meiling came to a similar conclusion.

Lin Feng nodded, "So, is there any path which might help me achieve this sooner, Senior?"

Qi Meiling pondered for a moment before speaking, "How about refinement?"

Lin Feng was a little bewildered, but suddenly, his eyes shone with interest as he comprehended what she was suggesting, "That does sound like a promising approach.."

"Well, you can try it... the Eternal Dao Lotus is an unfathomable enigma, so it might work.."

Lin Feng nodded, "I understand, Senior, I will work on it.."

"Good, I am looking forward to it." Qi Meiling truly was hoping for him to succeed.

Lin Feng thought of another matter and decided to mention it, "There is another intriguing matter unfolding inside the sect right now, Senior, the spirit mine.."

"Ahh yes, that place, have you discovered anything?"

"Well, the thing is.." Lin Feng explained everything about the current situation of the tree and the entity fused with it.

After explaining everything, he shook his head slightly, "Although, I don’t think there is much to worry about since they are both restraining each other, but I wonder if I am overlooking something.."

"Then your suspicions are justified, actually, because the last time I examined the mine, I sensed very faint blood qi wafting through that invisible mist... and I am quite certain that it wasn’t related to that entity since it didn’t originate from any single source.."

Lin Feng’s eyes widened slightly in surprise since he hadn’t sensed anything like that, but if Senior was right, which was very likely, then he could already discern where this was heading.

"After hearing about this whole ordeal, it’s not difficult to deduce what it was... for sustaining such a tree, an immense amount of vitality is needed, so there was a great possibility that a blood pool existed somewhere in the ruin, most probably beneath the place where the tree stood.."

Lin Feng nodded, "That is most likely the case, this also means that the hidden person didn’t discover the tree by chance, but he or she might have planted it in the first place... which also means that they knew exactly what they were doing.."

This was getting interesting, because if a person understood the consequences of their actions, then they were more likely to have devised a means of dealing with the resulting predicament beforehand, and given the strength of this person, it was highly likely that they had made such preparations.

"There is a possibility of that entity separating from the tree, but it’s still very unlikely for them to do so, unless they find a suitable body to house their soul... and now that I think about it, didn’t you attract that person’s attention? The more Lin Feng listened, the more he sighed, Senior Qi wasn’t wrong to suspect that the person might be interested in him.
