Aditya awoke and reassured his companions, but with the civil war imminent, he revealed a secret plan. He intended to embark on a dangerous solo mission with Riya, a decision that concerned Athena. Aditya ultimately agreed to take a powerful subordinate for backup, and before leaving, he shared affectionate moments with his companions. Meanwhile, the Anti-Emperor Faction's morale soared upon learning of Aditya's survival of the Heavenly Tribulation and his advancement to Sixth Order.

Outside Axel City, countless soldiers carrying the banners of different noble households continued to gather one after another. This had been going on for many hours without showing any signs of slowing down.

If anything, as time passed, the number of soldiers marching toward the massive open area outside the city only continued to increase. Each arriving army moved in organised formations before joining the millions of troops that had already gathered.

From the top of the city walls, Aditya silently watched everything with a neutral expression, his arms folded across his chest. From his position, he could also clearly see the destruction that his Heavenly Tribulation had caused to the surrounding region.

Most of the destruction had occurred because of the Heavenly Thunder that Aditya had redirected into the ground during the final strikes of his Heavenly Tribulation. Fortunately, thanks to Boris, Malakor Harrington, Wahid, and the others reacting quickly, there had been no deaths. There were certainly injuries, but nobody had lost their life because of what happened.

There had, however, been an enormous amount of property damage. Homes, farms, roads, and other structures outside the city had been completely destroyed. Aditya naturally intended to compensate everyone who had suffered losses because of his Heavenly Tribulation. With the immense wealth accumulated by the Harrington Family over countless generations, paying for all the destroyed property would not be a major financial burden.

But money could not immediately restore the landscape itself.

The difference between this region just an hour ago and now was almost unbelievable. The forests, greenery, roads, farmland, and everything else that had once covered the surrounding land had disappeared. In their place was nothing but devastated earth, with an enormous crater dominating the center of the destruction.

Countless massive fissures stretched across the ground in every direction. Some were several meters wide, while others extended so far that their ends could not easily be seen. Trees had either been burned, shattered, or completely uprooted. There was almost no sign of greenery remaining across the devastated region.

Aditya gave the destruction only a brief glance before returning his attention to the armies gathering outside Axel City. He continued standing on top of the city wall without moving an inch.

Although Aditya neither moved nor spoke, his mind never stopped working. He continuously went through the upcoming war in his head, planning for every situation he could possibly think of.

"What are you thinking about?" Spencer asked. As one of Aditya’s most trusted men, he had been standing beside his Emperor for some time, watching him silently observe the millions of troops gathering below.

"How I can bring hell to the battlefield and send every single enemy soldier straight to Hell." Aditya answered in a low and slow tone.

There was no hatred in his voice. There was no anger or bloodlust on his face either. He said those terrifying words as casually as if he were talking about the most obvious thing in the world.

However, hearing those words caused cold sweat to form on Spencer’s forehead. For a brief moment, he could not help but feel pity for the enemies who had chosen to stand against the Dragon Monarch. He pitied the foolish nobles who genuinely believed that Ren was their salvation. He especially pitied those who had seen everything Ren had done and heard everything that had happened, yet still chose to turn a blind eye and follow him.

The people of the Main Continent might not fully understand what kind of person Aditya was yet. His way of doing things was still relatively unknown here.

But Spencer was different. Having spent so much time beside Aditya, Spencer understood his Emperor’s personality and methods almost better than anyone else.

Toward his enemies, Aditya could become a demon that had crawled out from the deepest depths of Hell. Yet toward his own people, he could become an angel possessing the purest and kindest heart. These were two completely opposite sides of the same person, like two sides of a coin.

Throughout all his years of living and after reading countless books from libraries across the continents, Spencer had never encountered anyone quite like Aditya. His Emperor seemed to be made from two completely opposing extremes.

His methods against his enemies could sometimes become so cruel that those who witnessed them wondered whether Aditya was actually a demon wearing the skin of a human. Some even questioned whether his usual gentle and humble personality was nothing more than an act designed to deceive his subjects and make everyone believe that he was a benevolent Emperor.

Yet those who actually lived under his rule saw an entirely different person. Aditya could be so kind and humble toward his people that those accustomed to seeing this side of him sometimes wondered whether their Emperor had been replaced by someone else whenever they witnessed how mercilessly he dealt with his enemies.

There seemed to be almost no middle ground between these two sides. One side could be so ruthless that it seemed capable of corrupting every moral boundary a person possessed. The other radiated endless positivity, kindness, and genuine concern toward those Aditya considered his own people.

Yet Spencer understood something that outsiders often failed to realise.

Aditya was not a sadist. He did not enjoy spilling blood simply for the pleasure of watching others suffer. He was not someone constantly hungry for violence or death. However, when the situation demanded cruelty, Aditya was never afraid to become cold and merciless.

And when he chose to make an example out of an enemy, he made sure that example would not easily be forgotten.

Decades could pass.

Centuries could pass.

Yet people would still remember what the Dragon Monarch had done, and his future enemies would think carefully before repeating the same mistake.

Whenever Spencer thought about this side of Aditya, he remembered a conversation the two of them had shared long ago. It had happened during an otherwise ordinary evening, yet the words Aditya spoke that day had remained deeply engraved in Spencer’s mind.

"Spencer, I want to be the kind of Emperor who is kind to his subjects and followers. But I also want to be the cruellest monster to my enemies." Aditya had said while calmly looking into the distance.

"A King cannot be too humble or too kind. Nor can a King be too bloodthirsty or cruel."

Aditya had then turned toward Spencer with a small smile.

"Fortunately, my heart and mind have already been tempered."

He never explained why. He never told Spencer about the things he had experienced, witnessed, and done during his previous life.

"I will be a mixture of both."

"I want to become someone whose name alone strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies. At the same time, I want my people to feel endless hope whenever they hear my name or the name of my Empire. Even during their darkest moments, I want them to believe that as long as their Emperor is still standing, there is still hope."

Those words had struck Spencer deeply. It had been nothing more than a conversation during a random evening, yet Spencer had never been able to forget even a single sentence.

Even now, whenever Spencer remembered those words, he could almost hear Aditya himself narrating them inside his mind. He could remember his voice, his tone, and even the exact expression that had been on his Emperor’s face that evening.

And standing beside the Dragon Monarch now, with millions of soldiers preparing for war below them, Spencer felt that he finally understood those words better than ever before.

’Since His Majesty said those words with a look completely devoid of emotion, I can’t even begin to imagine what kind of horrors I am going to witness on the battlefield.’ Spencer thought to himself.

Yet strangely enough, instead of feeling frightened, that thought made Spencer excited.

He wanted to see his Monarch rise and shine on one of the grandest stages in the world. He wanted to see Aditya proudly stand above everyone and everything when this war finally came to an end. More than anything, Spencer wanted the tales of the mighty Dragon Monarch to spread to every corner of the Main Continent.

Until now, it was mainly the people of the Six Continents who had witnessed and experienced the magnificence of the Dragon Monarch. They knew what kind of ruler Aditya was. They knew what kind of monster he could become on the battlefield. They had witnessed his impossible victories, his overwhelming strength, and the terrifying speed at which the Istarin Empire had risen under his rule.

But the Main Continent had yet to truly experience any of that. Now, Spencer wanted the countless people, ancient families, powerful factions, and powerhouses of the Main Continent to witness the magnificence of the King of All Dragons with their own eyes.

The Supreme Ruler of the supreme creatures of this world deserved to have his name known by everyone.

To Spencer, this was only natural. After all, Aditya was the Dragon Monarch.

Standing several meters behind Aditya and Spencer, Nathan silently watched the two of them. Although he could not hear Spencer’s thoughts, the General found himself thinking almost exactly the same thing.

For far too long, the Main Continent had only heard scattered stories and rumours about their Emperor. Now, it was finally time for the entire world to witness His Majesty’s grandeur and brilliance.
