Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1199:- Rally of War; Dragon Monarch’s call for War [I]
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
A few minutes later, Rin, Riya, Sasha, Lilith, Amelia, Laura, and the rest of the girls had gathered inside Aditya’s bedroom. Naturally, everyone became emotional upon seeing him awake and completely recovered.
Only a short while ago, they had watched him nearly die while facing the Heavenly Tribulation, so seeing him sitting there perfectly fine brought an enormous amount of relief to everyone.
Unfortunately, Aditya knew that they did not have the luxury of spending time having an emotional conversation right now. The civil war would officially begin in less than forty minutes, and there were still several important matters that needed to be handled. After reassuring everyone that he was fine, Aditya quickly changed the subject and began explaining the plan he intended to execute once the war began.
Everyone remained silent and carefully listened until Aditya finished explaining everything. Almost immediately afterwards, Athena frowned. "You should have told me about this earlier."
Aditya shook his head. "I wanted to discuss it with you before making the final decision, but I simply never got the opportunity."
Too many things had happened within an extremely short period of time. His visit to the Harrington Family’s secret treasury, absorbing the 『Crimson Sun Annihilation Orb』, unexpectedly triggering his breakthrough, and then nearly dying during the Heavenly Tribulation had left him with almost no time to properly discuss this plan with Athena or anyone else.
"My visit to the Harrington Family’s treasury was far more fruitful than I expected. Some of the treasures I obtained there opened up opportunities that I didn’t have before. With those treasures, I’m confident that I can execute this plan."
Aditya then looked toward Riya. "But I’m taking Riya with me. Her abilities will be extremely useful for what I need to do."
Athena nodded her head. She had no problem with that arrangement. After hearing the complete plan, she could understand exactly why Aditya wanted Riya beside him. More importantly, the plan itself was reasonable enough that Athena could not find any major flaw with it.
"Who else are you taking with you?" Athena asked.
Aditya thought about the question for a moment before shaking his head. "No one else. Riya and I should be enough. I want everyone else to focus on their assigned responsibilities. The war is still our biggest priority, and I don’t want to unnecessarily reduce our strength on the battlefield."
He paused briefly before adding. "If everything goes according to plan, I should be able to join the war within the first two or three hours."
Athena immediately shook her head. Although she agreed with the overall plan, this particular part sounded unnecessarily reckless to her. "At least take one of your Seventh Order subordinates with you. They don’t necessarily have to accompany you to the actual location. Have them remain somewhere nearby instead."
"If something unexpected happens, you’ll have someone powerful enough to provide immediate backup. And if the situation becomes dangerous and you need to escape quickly, having a Seventh Order cultivator nearby could make a huge difference."
Aditya did not immediately reject her suggestion. He remained silent for a few seconds and seriously considered it before slowly nodding his head. "That could work."
In fact, Athena’s suggestion fit surprisingly well with the preparations Aditya had already made. He had previously sent some of his subordinates toward that region to secretly gather information, meaning arranging for one of his Seventh Order subordinates to remain nearby would not require him to significantly change his original plan.
With that additional layer of protection, the risks involved in what Aditya was about to attempt would be considerably reduced.
"Perfect! Let us go. Everyone is waiting for you." Saying that, Freya stood up from the sofa, expecting everyone else to follow her and leave the bedroom.
However, after taking a few steps, the Goddess of War noticed something strange. None of the girls seemed particularly eager to leave. Instead, almost all of them were looking at Aditya with expressions that suggested they were waiting for something from him.
Seeing this, Freya became confused.
Meanwhile, Laura also separated from Athena before sitting beside her.
Freya seemed equally curious about what was happening. "What’s wrong?" Freya finally asked while looking between everyone.
"Watch!" Aditya replied with an amused smile as he got off the bed and approached the girls.
He started with Riya before moving on to Sasha and then the others. Following their usual order, Aditya embraced each of them before showering them with affection. He kissed their foreheads, both cheeks, and noses before finally ending with a deep French kiss that lasted around ten seconds. After everything that had happened during his Heavenly Tribulation, this small moment of affection was something the girls had been silently waiting for ever since he woke up.
The only exception was Amelia. When Aditya eventually reached her, he did not hug or kiss her. Their relationship had not yet progressed to that stage. Although Amelia’s feelings for him had become increasingly obvious, she had never directly confessed them or officially acknowledged that she wanted a romantic relationship with him.
Aditya, however, was fully aware of how she felt. He was not cold-hearted enough to completely ignore Amelia after openly showing affection to every other woman in front of her. So when their eyes met, Aditya simply gave her a playful wink.
Amelia’s cheeks immediately turned red. The small pout that had been forming on her face instantly disappeared, replaced by an embarrassed smile as she looked away from him.
Watching all of this from the side, Freya finally understood what everyone had been waiting for. Yet as she watched Aditya affectionately hug and kiss the girls one after another, Freya unexpectedly felt something slightly sour inside her heart.
Technically speaking, Aditya was also her fiancé because of the contract between them. However, unlike the others, there was no romantic relationship between Freya and Aditya. Their engagement existed because of an agreement made by their parents rather than love.
Until now, Freya had never particularly cared about that distinction. But for some reason, watching this scene made that distinction feel slightly more noticeable than before.
"Let’s go!"
By now, the news that their Supreme Commander had successfully survived his Heavenly Tribulation and reached Beginner Sixth Order had spread throughout the entire Anti-Emperor Faction army.
Malakor Harrington had personally made sure that the news reached every corner of the army. There was a very simple reason behind his decision. Millions of troops had gathered here today to participate in a war that would decide the future of the Celestial Dragon Empire, and nothing was more valuable before such a massive battle than high morale.
Throughout history, thousands upon thousands of battles had repeatedly proven just how important morale was. Soldiers with high morale fought harder, endured longer, followed orders with greater confidence, and were far less likely to break under pressure. Meanwhile, even a powerful army could collapse surprisingly quickly once its soldiers lost their fighting spirit.
Malakor knew that what his grandson had accomplished today was more than enough to push the morale of their troops to its absolute peak.
Aditya did not even need to stand before millions of soldiers and give some passionate speech about victory, honor, or the future of the Celestial Dragon Empire. What he had already done was far more effective than any speech he could possibly deliver.
Their Supreme Commander had faced the Heavenly Tribulation without proper preparation, survived all six strikes of Heavenly Thunder, and successfully stepped into Beginner Sixth Order.
To the soldiers preparing to follow him into war, that achievement spoke louder than words ever could.
More importantly, everyone now felt even greater confidence in Aditya’s leadership. He had not merely become stronger politically by gathering the Anti-Emperor Faction under his command. His personal strength had also taken another enormous step forward.
The truth was that regardless of how intelligent, experienced, or capable a Supreme Commander might be, their individual strength still mattered far more than many people cared to admit in a world ruled by cultivation.
Strategy could decide battles, leadership could unite armies, and experience could prevent countless unnecessary deaths, but overwhelming personal strength commanded a completely different level of respect.
And now, Aditya was a Beginner Sixth Order cultivator. The future Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire was no longer merely someone commanding millions of troops from above. He was becoming powerful enough to stand among the strongest individuals on the battlefield himself.
Because of this, the respect and confidence that millions of soldiers already had toward their Supreme Commander had risen to an entirely different level.
"This is crazy!"
"I have never seen millions of troops looking this excited about going to war." Wahid said while standing beside Malakor Harrington and Boris. Everywhere they looked, the soldiers of the Anti-Emperor Faction were filled with excitement and confidence. There was hardly any fear visible among them despite the enormous battle that awaited them.
"This is all because of Aditya." Boris silently nodded his head in agreement. His grandson had not even appeared before the army yet, but the news of his successful breakthrough alone had completely transformed the atmosphere among the millions of troops gathered outside Axel City.
"Now, the final and most important hurdle for us to cross is winning this damn war." Malakor Harrington paused before turning his head toward Boris.
"And killing that grandson of yours." Boris did not respond immediately. His expression became slightly complicated at the mention of Ren.
He was equally disappointed and saddened by the actions of his first grandson. No grandfather wanted to watch his own family descend to this point, much less see one grandson preparing to fight and kill another. Yet after everything Ren had done and everything that had happened to the Celestial Dragon Empire under his rule, Boris knew there was no longer any simple way to resolve this conflict.
His only source of comfort was knowing that fate had not been completely cruel to him.
Although his first grandson had deeply disappointed him, fate had given him another grandson who was many times more brilliant and talented. Aditya had already proven himself as both a ruler and a cultivator, and after everything Boris had witnessed from him, he no longer had any worries about what would happen to the Celestial Dragon Empire after this generation was gone.
As long as Aditya survived this war and took the throne, Boris knew that the future of the Celestial Dragon Empire would be in safe hands.
