Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1184:- Calculated Compromise

"I’m sure this isn’t what’s troubling you. Tell us what happened." Athena asked him in a gentle tone.
Aditya let out a quiet sigh before gently looking at the women sitting opposite him. Five figures sat before him, and each one held significant weight in his heart. Although his relationship with Amelia was still undecided and neither of them had taken that final step forward, Aditya still valued her far more than even he himself realised.
"The war is about to begin, and this war will be unlike any other war or battle that we have fought together." Everyone slowly nodded their heads in agreement.
Aditya didn’t need to explain how serious the upcoming war was. Everyone sitting in this room already understood that this might be the most difficult test that they would ever need to go through together. Even with the several advantages currently on their side, none of them felt completely confident that they would be able to win this war easily.
Once the war began, there was no telling how things would unfold. It could turn into a brutal and long battle that stretched across several days and nights.
Depending on how the enemy responded and what kind of hidden cards both sides revealed, the war might even continue for weeks or possibly months. At this point, no one could say for certain how long the conflict would last or what kind of unexpected situations they would encounter once everything began.
"What I want from you girls is this—" Aditya suddenly stopped himself before shaking his head.
"No. Let me say it properly. I want something from you girls." Hearing this, everyone became curious. Their attention completely focused on Aditya as they waited for him to continue.
Aditya looked at each of them one by one before eventually lowering his gaze toward his palms. Even now, he was struggling to find the right words. After remaining silent for a few seconds, he finally decided that there was no point in trying to circle around the matter.
"I want you girls to stay away from the front lines." The atmosphere inside the bedroom immediately changed.
Aditya knew that no matter how gently or softly he tried to phrase his request, the meaning behind his words would remain the same. Everyone sitting before him was an adult, and none of them was foolish enough to misunderstand what he was really asking of them.
That was exactly what worried him. He was afraid that they might take his words the wrong way. Even worse, he knew there was a very real possibility that none of them would be willing to listen to his request in the first place.
"War is a very cruel thing, and losing even one of you is not an option that I am willing to accept. Once the war begins, especially if things start going against us, I don’t want any of you to die out there or suffer serious injuries."
"I might be willing to compromise when it comes to injuries, but the problem is that our enemies won’t simply stop after seriously injuring you. They will either try to capture you or kill you. There is nothing in between. There is no scenario where our enemies will seriously injure you and then simply leave you alone."
Aditya paused briefly, giving the girls a moment to process his words before continuing. He understood that what he was asking of them was not a small matter, especially considering their strength and their determination to stand beside him.
"I understand that all of you might feel uncomfortable with this idea. I assume that you have already made plans to fight this war by my side, but that isn’t something I want."
"I care deeply about each and every one of you. I don’t even know what I might become if I lose even one of you. Just the thought of losing someone sitting in this room scares me far more than I could ever imagine."
Aditya looked at the girls with a serious expression. He wanted them to understand that his request came from his fear of losing them, not from any doubts about their strength or abilities.
"All I am asking is that even if you participate in the war, you remain at the back lines and support everyone with your abilities. I don’t want any of you actively heading toward the front lines and seeking confrontations with powerful cultivators from the enemy’s side."
"Once the war begins, I will be occupied with my own battles, and I won’t have the time or opportunity to constantly pay attention to what is happening to each of you."
He knew that his words could easily be misunderstood, so he decided to clarify his intentions before anyone could draw the wrong conclusion.
"I’m not trying to imply that you girls are weak or that you need my attention and protection every single moment on the battlefield. That is not what I’m saying, so please don’t misunderstand me."
"All of you are incredibly powerful, and each of you is brilliant and extraordinary in your own right. I have never doubted that. However, the enemies we are about to face are not ordinary opponents, and that is exactly what scares me."
Aditya took another brief pause before continuing. Under normal circumstances, he would have been confident enough to bring his women onto almost any battlefield. However, the upcoming war was different, and he could not ignore the dangers simply because he wanted to believe that everything would turn out fine.
"Normally, I would confidently take any of you onto the battlefield because, deep down, I know that I can protect my women from harm. But this time, even I’m not sure whether I will be able to do that."
"Yes, I possess the ability to teleport instantly to any location that I can see with my own eyes, but even that ability has its limitations, especially when dealing with higher-order cultivators."
His expression became even more serious as he explained the danger that worried him the most. Against opponents of such overwhelming strength, the outcome of a confrontation could be decided in an instant. Even if he noticed that someone was in danger and immediately tried to intervene, there was no guarantee that he would arrive in time.
"Against enemies of this level, even a delay of a fraction of a second could mean the difference between life and death. By the time I realise that one of you is in danger and teleport to your location, it might already be too late. That is a possibility I simply cannot ignore."
Before Aditya could say anything else, Athena raised her palm and gently signaled for him to stop. Her expression remained calm as she looked directly at him. She understood where his worries were coming from, but at the same time, she could also see that his emotions were influencing his judgment far more than he realized.
"Aditya, when I say that we understand your worries, I believe I can speak for everyone here."
After saying this, Athena briefly looked at the other girls. One after another, they nodded their heads in agreement. None of them misunderstood Aditya’s intentions. They knew that he was saying all of this because he genuinely cared about them and was terrified of losing even one of them.
Athena turned her attention back to him before continuing in the same calm and gentle tone.
"But I also have to say that you’re being overly cautious right now. Yes, some of us here haven’t reached Sixth Order yet, but asking all of us to stay at the back lines throughout the entire war is purely an emotional decision. You’re thinking too much with your emotions right now instead of using your brain."
Aditya remained silent and allowed her to continue.
"I am a Sixth Order cultivator. Amelia is also a Sixth Order cultivator, and Lilith has already reached Beginner Sixth Order. The only two among us who haven’t reached Sixth Order yet are Riya and Sasha. The three of us are more than capable of handling our own battles on the front lines."
Athena’s tone remained confident but gentle. She was not trying to dismiss Aditya’s worries. Instead, she wanted him to look at their situation more rationally.
"I promise you that none of the three of us will return from the front lines with serious injuries, nor will our corpses be carried back by the soldiers. Something like that will never happen. We understand the dangers of this war just as much as you do, and none of us is going to recklessly throw our lives away."
Athena then glanced toward Sasha and Riya. "However, I do agree with your proposal when it comes to Sasha and Riya. Both of them can remain at the back lines and still provide extremely valuable support to our troops."

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
