"However, I do agree with your proposal when it comes to Sasha and Riya. Both of them can remain at the back lines and still provide extremely valuable support to our troops. The enemy could send assassins or powerful cultivators to ambush us from behind, so having Sasha remain there would actually be extremely useful."

Being one of the deadliest assassins within the Six Continents, Sasha was perfectly suited for protecting the rear of their army. Alongside Nathan, she could ensure that any enemy who attempted to sneak behind their forces or launch an unexpected attack would have to deal with two extremely dangerous individuals before they could cause any real damage.

"And Riya can remain there as well. As the Goddess of Nature, she can use her abilities to strengthen our army and provide different forms of support from the back lines."

"Her healing abilities alone could become extremely important once casualties begin increasing. She doesn’t need to directly confront the enemy’s strongest cultivators to have a massive influence on the battlefield."

Hearing Athena’s words, Aditya did not immediately respond. Instead, he paused and seriously considered everything she had just said.

The more he thought about it, the more he realised that Athena was right. His original request had been heavily influenced by his emotions. He had been so focused on the possibility of losing them that he had temporarily stopped looking at their individual strength and abilities objectively.

Athena, Amelia, and Lilith were all Sixth Order cultivators. They were not helpless women who needed to be hidden away from danger. Each of them had enough strength and experience to comfortably handle their own battles on the front lines.

At the same time, keeping Riya and Sasha at the back was not simply about protecting them. Both of them had abilities that made them extremely valuable there. Riya could strengthen and heal their troops, while Sasha, together with Nathan, could protect the rear of their forces from assassins, ambushes, and other unexpected threats.

It was a compromise that made sense. More importantly, it eased a large portion of Aditya’s worries while also giving the girls a solution that they could accept. For the first time since this conversation began, Aditya felt some of the pressure weighing on his heart disappear.

At first, Riya and Sasha were clearly dissatisfied when Athena suggested that she, Amelia, and Lilith would fight on the front lines while the two of them remained at the back.

Neither Riya nor Sasha liked the idea of staying behind while the others directly faced the enemy. Just like everyone else, they wanted to contribute as much as possible to the upcoming war and fight alongside the people they cared about.

However, the dissatisfaction in their hearts quickly disappeared when Athena explained just how important their roles at the back lines would be. Riya would be responsible for supporting the army with her abilities as the Goddess of Nature, strengthening the troops and healing the injured whenever necessary.

Sasha, on the other hand, would work alongside Nathan to protect the rear of their forces from enemy assassins, ambushes, and anyone who attempted to attack them from behind.

Athena had purposely explained their roles in this manner because she understood exactly how Riya and Sasha would feel about being asked to remain behind.

She knew that the two of them wanted to contribute to the war just as much as everyone else. Simply telling them to remain at the back because they had not yet reached Sixth Order would naturally leave them feeling dissatisfied. Even if neither of them openly complained or showed their unhappiness on their faces, that dissatisfaction would still remain in their hearts.

That was why Athena made it clear that staying at the back did not mean they were being protected or excluded from the war. They were being given responsibilities that were just as important in their own way.

Without Riya supporting and healing their troops, and without Sasha helping Nathan protect their rear from unexpected attacks, the entire army could be placed in a dangerous position.

With her careful choice of words, Athena managed to calm both Riya and Sasha while also making them understand the importance of the roles they would be playing.

In the end, everyone was satisfied with the solution Athena had proposed. Aditya could feel more at ease knowing that Riya and Sasha would not be directly confronting the enemy’s strongest cultivators, while Athena, Amelia, and Lilith could still fight on the front lines without feeling that Aditya was unnecessarily restricting them.

It was a compromise that everyone in the room could accept.

"What about Rin?" Sasha asked after thinking about the arrangement for a moment.

Rin, the Goddess of Music, was not present in the room with them right now. She had only recently reached Beginner Sixth Order and was currently cultivating to properly stabilise her cultivation base before the war began.

This was extremely important for her. If she entered such a dangerous battlefield before completely stabilising her cultivation base, even a relatively small injury could potentially affect her cultivation foundation and cause unnecessary problems for her in the future.

Hearing Sasha’s question, Aditya thought about Rin for a few moments before coming to a decision.

"Let Rin join the two of you. She can stay at the back lines and help protect everyone alongside you."

Aditya felt that this arrangement suited Rin extremely well. Although she had already reached Sixth Order, her abilities did not require her to directly fight powerful enemies on the front lines to be useful. In fact, her presence at the back could make Riya and Sasha’s roles even more effective.

"Rin can use her voice to influence and control people. She can charm her enemies and even temporarily put them into a hypnotic state. Although the effect becomes weaker against cultivators stronger than her, even against higher-order cultivators, she should still be able to affect their minds for a second or two."

That might sound like an extremely short amount of time under normal circumstances, but everyone in the room understood how valuable even a single second could be in a battle between powerful cultivators. A moment of hesitation or distraction could create the perfect opportunity for someone else to attack.

"With Rin supporting the two of you, the three of you should be able to work together even more effectively."

"Riya can focus on strengthening and healing our troops, Sasha can deal with assassins and anyone who manages to reach the rear of our forces, while Rin can use her voice to disrupt and control the enemy."

"If the three of you coordinate properly, you should even be capable of dealing with powerful cultivators together."

The more Aditya thought about this arrangement, the more satisfied he became with it. Rin staying at the back did not mean that her strength as a Sixth Order cultivator would be wasted.

Instead, her abilities could complement both Riya and Sasha, allowing the three of them to protect the rear of the army while supporting the rest of their forces at the same time.

"Where is Freya?" Aditya suddenly asked while looking toward Amelia.

Freya, the Goddess of War, was the only one whose absence had caught his attention. Considering how close they were to the beginning of the war, Aditya naturally expected her to be here with everyone else.

Amelia thought about his question for a moment before shaking her head.

"I’m not sure. I haven’t seen Freya for the last few days. She did mention that she was returning to her Empire because she had some work to take care of, but she never told me exactly what it was. She only said that there was something important and urgent that she needed to finish."

Before Aditya could think too deeply about Freya’s sudden absence, Athena answered on Amelia’s behalf, having already formed a fairly good idea of what the Goddess of War was most likely doing.

"She is probably preparing her own army to participate in the upcoming war." Athena explained calmly.

"Although this is technically an internal war of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Freya is one of your closest allies. There is no way she is simply going to sit back and watch while you fight such an important war. Knowing her, she has most likely returned to her Empire to personally prepare her forces."

Athena was almost certain that Freya had already begun making preparations of her own.

"When the war begins, I’m sure she will bring her army and join your side. After all, she is the Goddess of War. There is no chance that she would willingly remain on the sidelines while a war of this scale is taking place, especially when you are directly involved in it."

Hearing Athena’s explanation, Aditya slowly nodded his head. When he thought about Freya’s personality, her sudden return to her Empire made much more sense.

If there was one person among them who would never willingly stay away from a battlefield, it was undoubtedly the Goddess of War herself.
