Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1183:- Hesitation & Convinction

Just a few hours remained before the biggest civil war in the current era of the main continent was about to begin.

Countless forces from around the main continent have already sent their man to secretly observe the entire battle through some kind of broadcasting artifact.

As currently the strongest empire within the main continent, the Celestial Dragon Empire has been the main focus of the entire main continent for a long time. Regardless of what happened within the Celestial Dragon Empire, the ripple effect was felt by citizens of almost all other Empires and Dynasties.

For them, this was an event that cannot be missed. The outcome of this battle might change a lot of things around the entire main continent. The entire geopolitical landscape of the main continent might change. This was a clash between two different ideologies and positions.

The things that the exiled Crown Prince Aditya had said about his cousin did not remain within the borders of the Celestial Dragon Empire but were also heard by the leaders of many different factions across the Main Continent. Some were doubtful of Aditya’s words, but they did not entirely dismiss them as false claims. However, to convince everyone, Aditya would need to present some kind of evidence, which he currently lacked.

Though many things that had happened in the past could be perfectly explained when viewed in light of Aditya’s words.

Many faction leaders wanted Aditya to win this war and become the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, as it aligned with their own interests. This wasn’t because they liked Aditya more; it was simply because Ren’s way of doing things was too brutal. Many of the policies that Ren introduced after becoming the Emperor only harmed their interests.

Some factions had even sent their men to the Six Continents to learn more about Aditya and his Istarin Empire. As a result, the number of visitors from the Main Continent to the Istarin Empire had dramatically increased. Of course, none of them openly revealed their intention to learn more about Aditya and his Empire.

Even the ones who supported him or secretly wanted him to win, the war did not do anything to win his favour or provide any kind of help. At the end of the day, everyone understood that this was a personal civil war between the two most powerful political sides within the Celestial Dragon Empire, and this was not their position to intervene.

There were also many who wanted Ren to win this war and solidify his position as the Emperor because they liked the way Ren did things. Ren had maintained strong ties with those powerhouses.

Meanwhile, there was another group that simply wanted the civil war to drag on for as long as possible so that the overall military strength of the Celestial Dragon Empire would decrease to the point where its position as the most powerful empire on the Main Continent would no longer belong to the Celestial Dragon Empire.

While all this was happening outside, Aditya had other worries. He did not have time to think about what others thought of this war or how leaders from different factions viewed him at the moment.

Everyone in Aditya’s family had gathered inside his bedroom after receiving his message about an urgent meeting before the war began.

As the girls entered the room one after another, they found Aditya sitting alone on a chair beside the window. He was staring outside with a thoughtful expression, seemingly completely lost in his own thoughts. There was an unusual seriousness surrounding him that immediately made everyone realize that whatever he had called them here to discuss was important.

Amelia, Riya, Sasha, Lilith, and the others exchanged glances with each other. None of them immediately disturbed him. However, after seeing that Aditya showed no signs of turning around even though everyone had already arrived, one of the girls finally called out to him.

"Aditya."

Aditya had already noticed their presence from the moment they entered the room. He had simply been too occupied with his own thoughts to turn around and acknowledge them. Hearing his name finally pulled him out of those thoughts.

He turned around and stood up from the chair before walking toward them. Without saying anything immediately, Aditya gestured for everyone to sit down. There was something very important that he needed to tell them, and he wanted everyone to hear it directly from him.

Once everyone had taken their seats, Aditya remained standing for a few seconds before eventually sitting down as well. Yet even after everyone was settled, he did not immediately begin speaking.

Instead, another period of silence filled the bedroom.

Aditya was trying to figure out how he should explain his situation and the decision that he had made. More importantly, he wanted to present his words in the gentlest way possible. He did not want to anger them, nor did he want to hurt their feelings. Considering what he was about to tell them, he knew that choosing the wrong words could easily do both.

And that was the last thing Aditya wanted before stepping onto the battlefield.

He did not want to enter this war with a heavy heart or with unresolved matters between himself and the people closest to him. Once the battle began, everything about him needed to be completely focused on what was happening in front of him.

Aditya needed to be in his absolute peak condition, both physically and mentally, if he wanted to give his utmost best on the battlefield.

Against the kind of enemies that he was preparing to face, even a fraction of a second of distraction could become fatal. A single moment where his attention wandered elsewhere could give his opponent the opening needed to land a devastating blow on him.

That was why Aditya wanted to settle this matter before the war began.

Whatever their reaction might be, he needed to tell them about his situation and the decision that he had made.

After taking a deep breath, Aditya looked at the girls sitting before him and finally began speaking.

"I have a few things that I need to tell all of you. First of all, I found something miraculous inside the secret treasury of the Harrington Family. It is something that can help me break through to Beginner Sixth Order." Aditya then briefly explained the things he found within the treasury.

Hearing this, the girls were immediately overjoyed. The serious atmosphere in the room lightened considerably as everyone became happy upon hearing the news. They all understood just how significant reaching Beginner Sixth Order would be for Aditya, especially with the war about to begin. Every increase in his strength would greatly improve his chances on the battlefield.

"Then what are you waiting for? You shouldn’t be wasting any time right now. You should start absorbing the enormous amount of compressed fire-element mana as soon as possible and break through to Beginner Sixth Order." Riya immediately urged him not to waste another second.

Depending on Aditya’s absorption rate, the entire process could potentially take several hours. Because of that, Riya felt that it would be much better for him to begin as early as possible. The sooner he started absorbing the energy, the more time he would have to complete his breakthrough before the war began.

"Riya is right. Why are you even wasting time sitting here with us? You should have already gone into cultivation. No, you should have already started absorbing the energy from the core. If you had simply asked someone in the house to come and inform us about this, that would have been enough." Sasha quickly added, completely agreeing with Riya.

From Sasha’s perspective, Aditya had gathered everyone here because he personally wanted to share the good news about his upcoming breakthrough. While she appreciated that he wanted to tell them himself, right now, increasing his cultivation was far more important. They were already approaching the beginning of the war, and there was no reason for him to waste precious time when he had an opportunity to become significantly stronger.

However, while Riya and Sasha were urging him to immediately begin cultivating, Athena remained silent.

As the Goddess of Wisdom, she looked at Aditya’s expression from a completely different perspective. The others were naturally excited by the news and had temporarily overlooked the worried expression that Aditya had been wearing ever since they entered the bedroom.

Athena had not. She could tell that his upcoming breakthrough was not the real reason why Aditya had gathered everyone here.

"What happened?" Athena’s question immediately caused the others to quiet down and look toward her before turning their attention back to Aditya.

"I’m sure this isn’t what has been troubling you."

Athena knew Aditya well enough to understand that he was not the kind of man who would become this worried simply because he was about to attempt a breakthrough. He certainly was not afraid of facing a Heavenly Tribulation or being struck by Heavenly Thunder. If anything, considering Aditya’s personality, something like that would hardly be enough to make him gather everyone for an urgent meeting.

There had to be something else.

Something far more personal was clearly weighing on his mind, and Athena could tell that Aditya wanted to speak about it before he went into seclusion to absorb the energy and prepare for his breakthrough.
