Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1008 1008:- Clash of Sun and Abyss
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
Following an incredibly draining night, Aditya remained in deep slumber. Sleeping so late and missing the family breakfast was highly unusual for him. He had always declared that no family member could skip lunch or dinner, as he saw those moments as essential for nurturing family bonds.
Today proved to be the exception. Julia and the others had witnessed his utter fatigue after training until dawn. The women couldn't stand seeing him so exhausted and firmly insisted he get some rest. All his protests were immediately overruled by everyone.
Six full days had gone by since his last sleep. Over those six days, he stayed away from the Empire. He only returned to the Dragon Palace for breakfast and dinner with the family. As for lunch, Julia, Lilith, Riya, Lara, and Rin personally delivered meals to him, and they dined together.
He had been intensely occupied with enhancing the defensive Mana barriers across all major cities of his allied empires. This massive undertaking involved countless cities in the allied territories. Time pressed heavily on Aditya, as he also needed to head to the Main Continent soon.
Every extra moment spent here allowed his cousin Ren and the Organization to inflict greater harm.
With time running critically short and countless tasks demanding attention, he had somewhat overlooked quality time with his wives. Luckily, his women proved remarkably supportive and understanding about his demanding schedule.
By dinner time, after finishing his duties, he made it back to the Dragon Palace while everyone ate. Though eating wasn't required at his current cultivation level, relinquishing such simple pleasures proved difficult, as they grounded him in his mortal origins.
Post-dinner, all the girls gathered in his bedroom, and no one rested through the night. Once more, he overwhelmed them until breakfast the next day, finally succumbing to the toll of six relentless days and nights of labor.
The vigorous, uninterrupted passion with his women that morning invigorated his spirit.
Yet fatigue lingered, gradually pressing down on his frame. He could have used stamina restoration pills to shake it off, but opted against it. No crisis demanded immediate action, making it unwise to waste precious pills on fatigue that would fade naturally. Besides, overconsuming pills carried harmful side effects.
Spencer could handle his duties and manage the routine administration seamlessly.
As he slept, a sudden sensation struck him—like a call or the distress of a part of his empire under assault. This intuition defied easy explanation but struck sharply and vividly, impossible to dismiss.
Though he couldn't pinpoint the threat's nature, he sensed its severity and precisely located the attacked region within his domain.
His eyes flew open. His pupils shifted instantly to draconic slits, elongating dramatically. Dragon scales erupted across his body, sparing only his face.
In the next instant, he disappeared from the bedroom.

Right then, Lilith returned to cuddle beside him. She'd slipped away after breakfast with a cultivation excuse, avoiding suspicion, to reach his room. But finding the bed empty, she froze.
The wide, joyful grin on her face vanished, replaced by bewilderment.
'Where did he go?' Tears welled up as she felt like crying. While others busied themselves, she aimed to seize this chance for intimate alone time. She scanned her senses across the floating island but detected no trace of him in the Dragon Palace.
'My husband, where have you gone? At least take me along.' She'd even notified the Imperial Academy's Principal of her absence from teaching today, all to spend the day in his arms.

Scene Change to Westnia
The massive surge of golden flames obliterated the city's transparent defensive Mana barriers as if they were mere tissue.
'Here it comes!'
'All soldiers, merge your mana to erect a single enormous Mana barrier,' the captain commanded, though deep down he knew it was futile.
'Is this truly our end?' He silently prayed the Dragon Monarch would swoop in to shield them, just as always.
Suddenly, a figure materialized between the onslaught and the city. At the tip of his outstretched finger aimed at the approaching wave, a tiny crimson flame orb flickered.
The blinding glare from the vast golden flame wave hid the orb's crimson hue completely.
The figure channeled more Mana into his counter until the flames nearly swallowed him. Moments before contact, he flicked his finger, launching the minuscule orb—scarcely larger than his eyeball—straight into the golden inferno.
For a split second, it seemed the golden flames had devoured the tiny crimson orb and pressed onward toward the city. But within less than a second, a world-shattering blast rocked the heavens and earth.
Just prior to the detonation, Aditya positioned himself before the soldiers, bolstering the Mana barrier to encompass the entire city and reinforce its strength. Sustaining such an immense shield drained vast mana reserves; he couldn't manage it solo.
Booooooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!
The blast's immense scale unleashed a shockwave so fierce it nearly fractured the collective barrier.
The explosion slammed into the barrier, spawning hundreds of fissures across its surface instantly.
'Everyone, hold firm! We can endure this!' the captain bellowed, even as he coughed up blood from mana overexertion.
Yet he clung on stubbornly, channeling more Mana despite the risk of collapse.
The others followed suit. Soldiers throughout the city linked up, relentlessly fueling the barrier to prevent its failure; failure meant death for thousands, including themselves.
Thanks to their united resolve, the cracks halted their spread, allowing the barrier to persist.
In the final moments, as over half the soldiers blacked out from exhaustion—including the captain, vice captain, and elite cultivators—the barrier shattered.
The residual explosion grazed the city, toppling some skyscrapers. What was meant to erase half the city outright and incinerate the rest got neutralized. Barely 0.5% of the blast's force trickled through, causing minor harm and injuring a few hundred.
With the danger passed, soldiers crumpled to their backs or knees, gasping for air—save for one steadfast figure amid them.
The captain, vice captain, and all others gradually turned toward him.
'Your Majesty!' Spotting their monarch's face filled them with unparalleled joy. Every soldier, knowing the Dragon Monarch had arrived, collapsed in relief with a collective sigh. Peace washed over them, despite the black dragon hovering hundreds of meters away, glaring.
Aditya shared a nod of respect with the captain, who had led with valor, coordinating flawlessly to buy precious time.
Even amid utter hopelessness, these warriors never surrendered. Their unyielding spirit was precisely the bravery Aditya, as emperor, demanded from every Istarin Empire soldier.
Safeguarded by their Dragon Monarch, the soldiers dropped their defenses, eagerly anticipating the showdown ahead. Their role was done.
'I never anticipated his arrival so swiftly.' The Organization's enigmatic observer, viewing from afar, marveled at the Dragon Monarch's timely intervention saving the city. Mere minutes into the assault, he was already there.
His artifact then detected something kilometers distant, hovering silently in the skies. Peering closer, he realized with shock it was the Dragon Palace itself.
Proximity to the Dragon Palace rendered Aditya virtually unbeatable.
