Max enters Bloodstone City, a bustling hub where beings from all five races—Primordials, Devils, Spirits, Angels, and Dragons—coexist. Despite the inherent tensions between races, particularly the hostility between Devils and Primordials, the city maintains a surprisingly controlled peace, with most inhabitants focused on their own affairs.

The devil beside Max whispered, "Open killing's forbidden here. That's why the city looks calm. Outside the walls, it's different."

Max gave him a brief glance. "I can tell."

As Max walked deeper into the street, plenty of people noticed him. The Primordials reacted first. Several of them looked at Max and immediately sensed his cultivation realm.

When they realized he was only at the 1st level of the Law Manifestation Realm, strange expressions crossed their faces. Some looked surprised. Some frowned slightly. Some seemed puzzled about how someone at his level had even entered the Godslayer's Pilgrimage.

But once they sensed the Primordial aura in his body, most of them didn't show any contempt. Instead, they nodded to him. It wasn't a warm greeting, but it counted as recognition. Maybe they assumed he had some unusual background.

Maybe they figured anyone who could enter this place despite such low cultivation couldn't be completely ordinary. Or maybe it was simply because he carried Primordial Bloodline, and in a city where all five races gathered, people from the same universe naturally kept up at least a surface-level courtesy toward each other.

The devils reacted very differently. Plenty of them sneered when they saw Max.

"A Law Manifestation Realm Primordial?"

"He came here to die?"

"Maybe some old monster threw him in for tempering. If he leaves the city, he won't last long."

Their voices weren't loud, but Max heard them clearly. He ignored them. If he reacted to every sneer, he'd waste too much time.

Besides, the three devils outside the city had sat at the 2nd level of the Divine Lord Realm, and two of them were already dead. If the devils here wanted to underestimate him because of his cultivation, that was their problem.

Max's calm reaction made some of the nearby Primordials glance at him again. A few of them looked slightly impressed.

The devil leading Max grew more nervous the deeper they went into the city. He clearly didn't want to be seen walking with a Primordial, especially with a hidden seal still controlling his body. But Max didn't care about his discomfort.

"Where's the information hall?" Max asked.

The devil discretely pointed toward a tall building ahead. "That one. The black tower with the bronze mark symbol above the entrance. Most newcomers head there first to buy basic information about the outer layer, nearby trials, mark rules, and routes toward the inner layer."

Max followed his gaze. A tall black tower stood at the end of the street. Above its entrance floated a large bronze circle with a sword in the middle, the same shape as the mark on Max's wrist. Plenty of participants were entering and leaving the tower, most of them wearing serious expressions.

However, before Max could enter the information hall, several Primordials stepped into his path.

They didn't look hostile, but their movements came off firm. There were three of them, each carrying a stable Primordial aura that felt far more natural than the newly awakened bloodline aura Max had seen among the ten geniuses chosen from the Cosmic Ascension Conference.

Their expressions stayed calm, their gazes lingering on Max's face, cultivation, and wrist mark for a brief moment before one of them spoke.

"Follow us."

After saying that, the Primordial turned and walked toward a quieter street without waiting for Max's reply.

Max frowned slightly. He didn't like being ordered around, especially in a place like Bloodstone City, where every race had its own agenda and every friendly face might hide another motive. But these people were Primordials, and their behavior didn't carry obvious malice.

Since he'd just arrived in the Godslayer's Pilgrimage and still knew very little about this place, it seemed better to see what they wanted before making any judgment.

Max glanced at the sealed devil beside him. "You go ahead and wait for me at the information hall."

The devil's expression shifted slightly, but he quickly lowered his head. He didn't dare ask whether this meant he could escape. The seal inside his body was still there, and Max could crush him the moment he tried anything foolish.

"I understand," the devil said quickly.

Max then followed the Primordials.

They led him away from the busy main street and into another part of Bloodstone City. The surroundings changed gradually. The crowded shops, loud exchanges, and mixed auras of the five races grew less dense.

The streets here were wider and cleaner, and the buildings carried fewer chaotic signs. Instead, most of them were built with a solemn, ancient style, as if they belonged not to merchants or wandering participants, but to factions that had occupied this city for a long time.

Soon, Max arrived in front of a large mansion-like building. The mansion was built from pale gold stone and dark red crystal, standing out clearly against the blood-colored structures surrounding it in Bloodstone City.

Its entrance was guarded by two tall Primordials, and above the gate floated a circular emblem giving off a calm golden glow. The symbol wasn't exactly the same as the bronze mark on Max's wrist, but it carried the same ancient feeling of recognition and authority.

Many Primordials could be seen entering and leaving the mansion. To Max's surprise, there were also humans among them. Some of those humans wore battle robes, some carried swords, and some had auras clearly not inferior to the Primordials walking beside them.

This immediately told Max the building wasn't purely a base of the Primordial Race. It was more likely the headquarters of their universe in Bloodstone City, a place where participants from the Primordial Universe could gather, exchange information, and get basic protection.

Max's eyes moved slightly. 'So every race has a base here.'

That made sense. Bloodstone City might stay peaceful under the city rules, but the Godslayer's Pilgrimage itself was still a place where the five races competed fiercely. In a place like this, each race naturally needed a foothold, especially in the outer layer where newcomers kept showing up constantly.
