Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf Chapter 1737 - 977: Reorganization—Nine Great Military Groups (Part 2)

Previously on Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf...
The Wolf Civilization has officially reorganized its massive forces into new independent military groups to manage its explosive growth. The Undying Cockroach Clan, now trillions strong, has been separated into its own division under the Roach Emperor, with several key members promoted to the Heavenly Venerate realm. To provide a strategic counterweight, the Insect Race Army Group was established, seeing the Bloodthirsty Maniac Bee rise to the status of a Title-level War King. Meanwhile, the Charm Fox has been elevated to the War Emperor sequence to lead the newly named Phantom Army into deep space conquests. Finally, the elite Blazing Angel Army Group has been placed under the command of the Golden Jade Demon Deer, solidifying the hierarchy of the nine military groups.

[Flame Angel Army Group]

Boasting a military force of over 800 billion, the vast majority of this army group consists of combatants at the ancestor-level!

The Spirit-eating Crow King serves as the commander of the Flame Angel Army Group. Although its feats during the three super star wars might not have been the most prominent, its unwavering loyalty and consistent presence at the front lines for the Wolf Pack Civilization have proven its immense capability.

Currently, the Spirit-eating Crow King wields the formidable combat power of a mid-stage Heavenly Venerate and has earned a promotion to senior War King!

The Bloodthirsty Grass has similarly ascended to the mid-stage Heavenly Venerate level, possessing raw combat strength that actually surpasses the Spirit-eating Crow King. However, due to its lack of aptitude for military leadership, it has been designated as the Supervisor and Deputy Commander of the Bloodthirsty Grass forces!

Its standing and authority are equal to that of a senior War King.

[Reserve Army Group]

While the visible achievements of the Reserve Army Group may seem modest, the other army groups would have undoubtedly suffered catastrophic losses without its vital logistical support and constant troop reinforcements.

Furthermore, the Shadow Wolf personally commanded a contingent of elite Reserve units on the front lines, playing a pivotal role in the subjugation of the Radiant Sun Star.

Having reached the late stage of the Heavenly Venerate realm, Shadow Wolf has been elevated to the rank of Special-level War King.

Various other deputy commanders, including Wolf Sister, Wolf Dad, Wolf Mom, Cousin, White Rhinoceros, the Northern Ice Quartet, Samsara Bird, and the Dreamy Spiders, among others, have also received honors and rewards.

Regrettably, legendary figures such as the White Rhinoceros, Shadow Moon Swallow, Good and Evil Ants, and the Scarlet Demon Crow all perished during the third super star war.

Such is the nature of this massive conflict; countless stars and rising prodigies from every faction met their end.

Moving forward, the Reserve Army Group will face no restrictions as it continues to recruit ancestor-level exotic beasts into its ranks.

[Wandering Army Group]

Following the destruction of Jupiter and the fall of Radiant Sun, a significant portion of the powerful individuals scattered across the system joined the Wolf Pack Civilization.

Their numbers have now swelled to seventy million.

The Wandering Army Group contributed significantly during both the promotion to Small Constant Star and the third super star war.

The Black Gold Demon Ape remains the commander of this group and has been promoted to the rank of Title-level War King.

Tragically, the former deputy commanders—the Black Gold Giant Tiger and the Triceratops—were both struck down by the Emperor’s Son of Radiant Sun!

In their stead, the Star Moon Ancestor has stepped in as the Deputy Commander of the Wandering Army Group and has been granted the rank of Title-level War General.

The remaining independent experts did not receive formal titles; instead, their honors were converted into cultivation resources.

Even after a millennium, fostering absolute loyalty among these scattered powerhouses remains a challenge for the Wolf Pack Civilization.

To them, personal gain and resources remain the primary incentives.

The grand decoration ceremony for the Wolf Pack Civilization’s members spanned seven or eight years before finally concluding.

During this event, the nine major military groups were completely reorganized.

However, many representatives from the Star Nebula Great Clans noted the absence of the Nightmare Army, despite their legendary contributions to the Radiant Sun Star conquest.

This led the Great Clans to realize that what they were seeing might only be the surface strength of the Wolf Pack Civilization.

They recalled that when the military intervened in the conflicts between the Jupiter and Black Sun Clans and seized the Radiant Sun Star, at least ten Peak Venerates vanished from public view!

It is widely suspected that the civilization possesses more than one hidden trump card on par with the Nightmare Army!

This massive display of power forced the Star Nebula Great Clans—many of whom had hoped to exploit the Wolf Pack’s perceived exhaustion—to reconsider making any bold demands.

The detailed disclosure of military data during the ceremony served as a clear warning, showing these clans the true price of attempting to invade the Sirius System.

As the ceremony drew to a close, the future defensive jurisdictions for each military group were established.

In a surprising move, the Guardian Divine Army, directly under the Lonely Wolf Emperor, was detached to guard the Radiant Sun Star alongside the Flame Angel Army Group.

The Lonely Wolf Emperor now holds the power of life and death over that powerful star and its eight moons, though he must remit 80% of the resources from this Level 5 Life Star every hundred years.

Even so, the remaining 20% provides more than enough wealth for the Guardian Divine Army and the Flame Angel Army Group to expand at a staggering pace.

The arrangements for Jupiter, its four moons, and the Saturn garrison were even more shocking.

The Roach Emperor’s Cockroach Army Group has been tasked with their defense!

Nevertheless, the core planetary sources of these two major stars are being kept on Earth!

Without control over the star sources, any future rebel would have to face the Wolf Pack Civilization without the aid of planetary power or the Will of Heaven and Earth. They would also have to contend with the Wolf Lord’s peerless combat power, which is already capable of slaying half-step taboos.

Furthermore, the Jupiter Star Group under the Roach Emperor is only required to surrender 30% of its resources.

This lower quota accounts for the massive size of the Cockroach Army and the fact that Jupiter’s future output cannot compare to that of the Radiant Sun Star.

The Twelve-winged Dream Butterfly will lead the strongest Star War Army Group, taking charge of patrolling the entire World System and guarding the nebula layer.

The remaining forces—the Direct Lineage Army Groups (Parts One and Two), the Insect Race Army Group, the Reserve Army Group, the Wandering Army Group, and the Blazing Angel Army Group—will all be stationed within the Earth Star Group.

This distribution makes it clear that despite unifying the World System, the Wolf Pack Civilization has no plans to relocate its headquarters.

Earth remains the heart of the Wolf Pack Civilization and the capital of the newly formed Sky Wolf System!

With the steady flow of resources from the Radiant Sun and Jupiter groups, Earth—once known as the Sin Star—has the potential to ascend once more!

Should the Sin Star reach the level of a strong star, this new Sky Wolf System will not only be a legend within the Blazing Nebula but will also wield significant political power there!

.....

Little Lone Wolf commanded two Beta Wolves to haul away the remains of Meng Hu. The massive corpse of the Mad Thunder Skyhawk required ten Hai Wolves to move it, as its sheer size made transport nearly impossible otherwise.

Little Lone Wolf declared that the Mad Thunder Skyhawk’s flesh was reserved exclusively for Su Lin. Su Lin agreed completely; he had no intention of sharing such a rare and high-quality prize with the other Lead Wolves.

His reasoning was twofold: first, the Lead Wolves lacked the level required to safely digest the massive energy contained within the hawk; second, Su Lin himself needed vast quantities of Variant Species flesh to continue his evolution. He couldn't justify giving up such potent energy.

On the return journey, Su Lin led the pack with a thunderous roar. Their passing shook the ice sheets to the point of cracking and made the surrounding flora tremble as the White Wolf Pack’s powerful aura surged toward the Land of Adventure.

Hidden predators watched fearfully from the shadows, their eyes fixed on the silhouette of the White Wolf. They sensed an overwhelming pressure they could not hope to resist. Only their primal instincts kept them from collapsing entirely under the weight of the White Wolf’s presence.

Several high-level Variant Species sensed the massive energy fluctuations and peeked out to see the pack galloping past. They were stunned to see the enormous, mysterious carcass being dragged by the wolves at the rear—the fallen Mad Thunder Skyhawk.

The potent energy within the dead hawk had yet to fade. Even the powerful White Wolves struggled to maintain their grip against the residual force, leaving the witnessing Variant Species in a state of shock.

They wondered what kind of creature could possibly slay a being as terrifying as the Mad Thunder Skyhawk and then brazenly parade its body through the Land of Adventure.

As the predators watched in awe, a White Wolf of even greater power appeared, moving so quickly he was invisible to the naked eye. He was a mere ghostly blur of white. In an instant, he appeared on a far-off ridge, letting out a sky-shaking howl to lead his pack deeper into the frozen reaches of the Arctic...

This image of the silver-white shadow was burned into the memories of every predator present, a sight they would never forget for the rest of their lives.
