Elizabeth expresses disappointment that Fisher was unresponsive while she slept. She then prepares to see the Vice President of the World Magic Association regarding changes due to Mr. Helsen's death. Elizabeth assures Fisher he can move freely within the Inner Court and receive anything he desires, as long as it doesn't involve other women. Fisher reveals his true request: to see Helsen's granddaughter, Alicia, and retrieve a book. Despite Elizabeth's possessiveness, Fisher convinces her to allow Alicia to visit, framing it as needing to relay messages from her grandfather. As Fisher reassures Elizabeth he will stay, she catches his hand defensively.

"..."

At the next moment, as Fisher’s palm was being tightly grasped by Elizabeth, she somewhat unnaturally stood up, lifting her cheek that had been parallel with Fisher’s abruptly, and the hand she was holding also moved away from her eyes, until the tension in her hand gradually dissolved and finally released it as it reached the level of her abdomen.

If raising her hand to stop Fisher from approaching her eyes was a subconscious act at first, the subsequent action clearly indicated that Elizabeth did not want Fisher to touch her eyes.

Before Fisher could say anything, she had already smiled and jumped to the next topic,

"...It’s almost time; I’ll be back before dinner. I’ll fulfill the promises I made earlier, and before I return, you must stay here obediently..."

"..."

Fisher couldn’t help but cast another glance at her empty golden eyes, as if trying to discover something from them.

But unfortunately, Fisher found nothing in her eyes, as if they weren’t the windows to Elizabeth’s soul but rather mirrors reflecting desire.

There’s nothing inside, or perhaps, there’s only the viewer looking at it.

With nothing gained, Fisher concealed his contemplative expression, reached for the clothing Elizabeth prepared for him nearby, and agreed honestly,

"Alright, I’ll wait here for your return, Elizabeth."

After receiving Fisher’s promise, Elizabeth smiled sweetly as if she had just eaten a fruit candy. She couldn’t help but step forward toward Fisher, eager to shower him with affection right now, but then she stopped midway, fearing she might not be able to control herself and would have to postpone the event being planned to immediately engage in activities of life’s harmony...

But it’s okay; there will be opportunities tonight.

The hand that was about to extend ultimately held back, transforming into the tongue that licked her lips. Wearing a complete set of lingerie, she turned around, satisfied, and walked out of the room.

As the Empress of Nali, her dwelling naturally couldn’t just be this simple bedroom.

Outside the room were several adjoining suites, her office desk, her dressing room, and a living room displaying numerous items. In the past, outside there would typically be many servants to assist her in changing clothes, but due to Fisher’s arrival, she had summoned nearly all the servants out of the inner court. Hence, at this moment, only the Inner Court Chief named "Dianne" was waiting outside.

Fisher had heard this name before when he called the Golden Palace. If Elizabeth’s trust in Dianne was as such, it wasn’t difficult to explain why she knew the reason for Elizabeth’s movements last time.

But it still doesn’t explain why she would inform an unconfirmed identity, "Fisher Benavides," about such news over the phone.

So, as Fisher opened the door, he was putting on his shirt while also scrutinizing Dianne.

Outside the far end of the door stood a lady dressed in an elegant and simple inner court official’s attire. She appeared plain, with already prepared clothes for Elizabeth to change into later. Upon seeing Elizabeth stepping out, she respectfully bowed her head,

"Your Majesty, the clothing is ready; please allow me to change it for you. Also, should I send the previously instructed food to the front court to dine together with Mr. Sai Hui?"

"No need, just send it here. Meanwhile, I want you to bring Mr. Helson’s granddaughter from yesterday to the inner court, and don’t worry about anything else."

"Yes, Your Majesty, I will arrange that immediately."

Dianne agreed with a smile and seemed to have gone with Elizabeth to the adjacent changing room. After changing, she didn’t return, and soon her voice completely disappeared outside the inner court, leaving everything here to Fisher.

She seemed just like an ordinary inner court official.

Fisher dressed himself neatly, aside from a few life manuals that were inseparable and items tucked between them, the rest of his belongings were unknown to Fisher as to where Elizabeth had taken them; he’ll wait to inquire when she returns.

Fisher hadn’t been to the Golden Palace before, but he had never gone this deep into the place. Moreover, the layout here definitely changed after Elizabeth came to power, arousing some curiosity in Fisher about where Elizabeth has lived all these years.

Stepping out from the bedroom he stayed in, outside in the magnificent hall, there were many unique furnishings of the Golden Palace. Among them, what caught Fisher’s eye the most was the portrait of Elizabeth hanging in the center of the hall.

This painting was also a traditional portrait left during Elizabeth’s birthday, but it differed from what Fisher saw earlier in the Saint Nali District, from the brushstroke to the painting style; one could tell it wasn’t the work of a court painter.

Yet there wasn’t much change in content; the portrayal in the painting was of her in different formal attire, wearing a crown, holding a scepter, with another hand holding a golden cup.

However, for some reason, when Fisher saw that portrait, he always felt an eerie sensation, possibly because a long time ago he encountered that Angel Leader Pandora who also possessed a Holy Grail.
