Defiance of the Fall Chapter 1475

Zac has officially joined Anima Court and is now posing as an outer disciple. He and Vilari are investigating Gimuz Astrovil, a talented Inner Disciple and the hope of a declining noble family, as requested by Castain. Their investigation reveals Gimuz is a well-regarded healer with a gentle disposition, making him an unlikely target, but also that his family may have had past conflicts with Castain's clan. While exploring options, Zac learns about the valuable Well of Forgetfulness, an Inner Disciple-exclusive resource that he needs to access to progress, which seems to be Castain's true motivation for the mission. Deciding to investigate Gimuz himself, Zac tails him into the Wekaia Forest, noticing the unnatural absence of wildlife and Gimuz's ability to seemingly split reality to evade detection, eventually leading Zac into a Buddhist Kingdom.
