Zac defeated the mage and the pugilist, while the Shieldbearer and his ally were swept away with a corpse into the gate. The archer, the last attacker, was eventually overwhelmed by Zac's augmented axe wraiths. As the gate began to destabilize, Esmeralda helped collapse the remaining bridges, forcing the portal to close just as a formidable swordsman broke free.
