Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 809: Xiao Yi Refuses to Call Him Uncle!
Previously on Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off...
The rest of the cubs were just as stunned, staring at the tiny orange fox cub perched securely in their grandfather’s arms.
Xiao Yi felt like he was about to pass out on the spot. He could tolerate Mo Xiao Li being his little uncle because Xiao Li was at least bigger than him!
But now he had a little cub as his uncle...a tiny thing he could flatten with a single tiger paw!
Where was his dignity supposed to go?! How could he ever show his face in Dragon Beast City again?! He strictly refused to call such a tiny creature "uncle"!
Seeking some moral support, Xiao Yi turned to look at his younger siblings, hoping they would stand with him. But the moment he looked over, he suddenly wanted to beat every single one of them!
Instead of protesting, all his younger brothers and sisters had immediately crowded around Su Mingxuan, sweet-talking in unison.
"Grandma! Grandfather! Little Uncle!"
Xiao Yi melodramatically clutched his heart with his paw and let out a piteous groan, rolling off the entrance steps.
Mo Xiao Li didn’t even bother comforting him...he just lifted his foot and lazily nudged the sulking tiger cub further away with his feet.
Xiao Yi sat in the corner, pouting furiously. Yet, neither his grandmother nor his grandfather noticed him.
Everyone was completely crowded around this new little uncle who had popped out of nowhere! Even his younger siblings were entirely smitten by the tiny fox!
Xiao Er and Xiao San were equally baffled. Xiao Er looked up at Su Mingxuan and asked directly, "Grandfather, is this your cub? Are you his father beast?"
Su Mingxuan glanced down at his grandcubs with a gentle smile and nodded.
"That’s right. He is your mother’s little brother, which makes him your little uncle. You all have to take good care of him, alright? He’s only one month old."
Hearing that, Lu Lu and Ru Ru, the twin wolf cubs, immediately swatted their big brothers out of the way to take a closer peek. The moment they saw how small, soft, and cute the little fox was, their eyes sparkled with affection.
Su Mingxuan kneeled down, allowing the wolf twins to hold him gently. The tiny fox cub was quite shy, burying his snout into his palm, but Ru Ru, the bigger twin, happily scooped him into a warm hug anyway.
Meanwhile, Mao Mao, the little lion cub, stood frozen in complete confusion.
How could there suddenly be a new cub here?! When they were last here before going to the Upper Domain, this little guy definitely wasn’t around!
Mao Mao pointed a paw at the fox cub and looked at his grandmother, his big eyes asking where on earth this cub came from.
Wang Mulan didn’t quite understand his silent cub gestures, but Su Mingxuan picked up on it instantly. He chuckled and said, "He was just born a month ago."
Mao Mao’s lion ears twitched in confusion. Just one month old? But where was he before that?!
Before Mao Mao could wrap his brain around it, Ciao Ciao, the little nine-tailed fox cub, smacked his goofy lion brother across the head with his fluffy tail!
"Step aside, stupid! Let me see where this droopy little uncle came from!" Ciao Ciao rolled his eyes arrogantly. "You know nothing!"
Mao Mao roared in anger at being called stupid! He immediately pounced, tackling the little white fox cub right onto the grass.
"Get your big paws off me or I’ll tell Father Beast!" Ciao Ciao yelped from underneath him, trying to kick Mao Mao off.
Within seconds, the two of them were tumbling across the ground, wrestling wildly. Ciao Ciao didn’t even get a second look at his new little uncle before getting dragged into a brawl.
Wang Mulan slapped her forehead in complete helplessness, rushing over to pull the fighting lion and fox apart. "You two! Stop rolling in the dirt!"
Off to the side, tiny Yue Yue sneaked a quiet glance at her new little uncle and nodded thoughtfully to herself.
’Mother was also an orange fox... Mother must have looked just like this when she was small.’
Yu-Yue suddenly felt a wave of affection, wishing she could see her mother in her true beast form.
She really wanted to snuggle against her mother’s soft, warm fox fur! But knowing her mother can’t transform, she could only keep the thought to herself.
Seeing his little sister staring so longingly, Xiao San gently stroked Yue Yue’s back with his hand. Yue Yue smiled sweetly and nestled comfortably against her big brother’s warm side as the chaos in the courtyard continued.
Back at the house, Su Qinglan had absolutely no idea that she suddenly possessed a newborn biological younger brother. If she had known, her stunned expression would have mirrored Xiao Yi hilarious reaction down to the last detail.
Right now, she was far too busy organizing the massive pile of gifts and treasures she had brought back from the Upper Domain.
Sitting on the freshly swept floor of the main hall, Su Qinglan carefully arranged several beautifully woven baskets.
She prepared individual baskets for Bai Ling, Lin Muyu, and Grandma Lin, as well as a few extra ones for the nearby Fox beastmen who had grown close to her family before they left.
Then came the largest basket of them all.
This one was specifically packed for her parents, Wang Mulan and Su Mingxuan. It was filled to the brim with high-tier snacks, rare spiritual herbs, and special treats, ensuring there was a generous portion for her parents, Mo Xiao Li, and her other stepfathers.
On top of that, Su Qinglan thoughtfully packed three separate, identical baskets for each of her three younger brothers, plus a lovely basket for her little sister, Lan Yue.
"That should cover everyone," Su Qinglan hummed happily to herself, wiping a faint bead of sweat from her forehead as she admired her neat work.
What she didn’t realize, however, was that her carefully counted gifts were about to fall very short!
During the six months she had been away, the lower domain had transitioned into full spring bloom.
Spring was naturally the prime season when new cubs roamed every corner of the village.
More importantly, thanks to Su Qinglan’s meticulous healing and treatments before her departure, practically every close household in the city was currently bursting with the loud, chaotic squeals of brand-new newborn cubs!
Unaware of the massive baby boom awaiting her, Su Qinglan picked up the heavy baskets with a satisfied smile, ready to head out and surprise her family.
