Xuan Long endures the constant barrage of his energetic cubs, yearning for peace. He worries about his wife, Su Qinglan, while unaware of her scandalous activities at the Sacred Pond. When she finally returns, dressed bizarrely and smelling of other beastmen, Xuan Long's suspicion is piqued.

However, she was still absolutely furious with An Mo!

Even though his intentions were technically "pure," helping her other husbands release their dangerous, pent-up heat so their meridians wouldn’t fry...how dare that wicked angel lie and say she was the one in heat?!

He had teased her to her very core and played her like a fiddle! She was so embarrassed that she had refused to even look at his face for the rest of the night.

To make matters worse, their wild session had been so chaotic that her clothes were completely shredded into useless rags!

Out of sheer petty revenge, she had ripped up all of their clothes too, leaving every single one of them stark naked.

With zero robes left to wear, they had been forced to make leaf skirts and wait until the dead of night to sneak back, hoping the cubs would be asleep.

She certainly hadn’t expected to run face-to-face with a livid Xuan Long!

Su Qinglan froze, her face exploding into a fiery red. She lifted one small hand and gave him a tiny, awkward wave. "H-Hehe... hi, Xuan Long..."

"Ah...!"

Suddenly, Su Qinglan hissed out loud, her face contorting in pain as her sensitive core accidentally rubbed against Rong Ye’s thick fur. It stung like crazy!

In a flash of light, Xuan Long moved!

Before anyone could react, he effortlessly scooped Su Qinglan straight off Rong Ye’s back and cradled her gently in his broad, cool arms.

"Lanlan," Xuan Long rasped, his voice dangerously low as he felt her trembling body and smelled the intense mating scent on her skin. "What happened to you?"

Su Qinglan hid her flushed face against his cool chest, giving him a quick, hushed summary of the scandalous tragedy that had transpired at the Sacred Pond...especially emphasizing An Mo’s wicked role in setting the whole thing up.

As she spoke, Xuan Long’s eyes grew darker and colder than the abyss. A terrifying, icy aura flared around his body.

"Don’t worry, Lanlan," Xuan Long whispered darkly into her hair, his jaw locked. "I will teach An Mo a lesson he will never forget."

Hearing those beautiful words, Su Qinglan turned her head and threw a smug, victorious look at An Mo, who was trailing behind the group wearing nothing but a giant palm leaf around his waist.

An Mo caught her glare and Xuan Long’s murderous gaze, and for the first time in his life, the wicked angel actually shuddered!

Feeling completely vindicated, Su Qinglan immediately began acting coquettishly in Xuan Long’s arms.

She puffed out her cheeks, fluttering her lashes cutely as she complained softly, "Xuan Long, they bullied me so much... my body hurts everywhere, and that wicked angel teased me so much..."

Suddenly, she realized Xuan Long wasn’t looking at her face anymore.

His intense, dark gaze was pinned firmly on her chest.

Su Qinglan paused, her complaints dying in her throat. She slowly looked down at herself.

Her jaw instantly dropped.

Because of her dramatic hand gestures and coquettish wiggling, the top leaf of her outfit had completely slipped to the side! Her soft, full breast had completely spilled out of the green leaves, fully exposed to the cold night air!

Mortified beyond belief, Su Qinglan frantically stuffed her breast back inside the leaf, her face burning so hot she felt like she was going to combust on the spot!

She looked up at Xuan Long’s dark, unblinking eyes and let out a dry, terrified laugh.

"H-Hehe... w-well... these leaf clothes really aren’t high quality at all, are they?"

Beside a quiet, hidden pond at the edge of the estate grounds, a man and a female sat in the shadows of the tall reeds.

This was not the Sacred Pond where the beastmen cultivated, but a small, secluded body of water situated just beyond the perimeter of the garden.

Floating near the center of the water was a small mermaid cub, Yuze. The little creature paddled his tail frantically, watching the two figures on the bank with wide, wary eyes.

The man’s handsome face instantly froze. "What are you doing here?" he snapped in a low voice.

The tiny mermaid cub shrank back into the water, too terrified to answer.

A harsh glint flashed in the man’s eyes.

Without a second thought, he reached his broad arm into the pond, grabbing the wet cub tightly by the scruff of his neck and dragging him straight out of the water!

The little mermaid cub thrashed wildly in his grip, his small blue-scaled tail splashing wetly as he let out a soft, piteous squeak.

The female sitting beside him stiffened, her hands instinctively reaching out to hold the frightened cub more gently. But the man simply scoffed, tossing the cub unceremoniously onto the damp grass.

"This brat dared to sneak off so far," the man muttered coldly, wiping the wet droplets from his arm. "Is he trying to seek an early death?"

The female fell silent, withdrawing her hands. She said nothing in response.

In their harsh world, this was simply how cubs were treated coldly and without pity.

Besides, she was just an outsider here. She had no right to interfere, nor was this little mermaid cub her own flesh and blood.

Yet, looking at little Yuze trembling on the grass, a sudden, piercing ache struck her chest.

Memories from earlier that afternoon flooded back into her mind, making her vision blur with unshed tears.

Hours ago, while Su Qinglan and Xuan Long were busy inside the kitchen courtyard grinding golden seeds to bake cakes, this mysterious female had secretly snaked through the tall grass, peeking into the spiritual garden.

It was only a brief, fleeting glimpse from afar. She hadn’t dared to step any closer... She knew very well that if Xuan Long’s terrifying senses detected her presence, she would be doomed.

Yet, that single peek had been enough to completely shatter her heart.

She had seen him. The tall, dark-haired man carrying heavy bags of grain looked so strikingly like his late father that it took her breath away.

Xuan Long... she had thought silently, her fingers digging into the dirt as her eyes filled with tears. He really grew up to look just like him...

And then, her gaze had drifted toward the tumbling, playing cubs in the grass.

Her heart had stopped. She didn’t need anyone to introduce them to her; she recognized them at a single glance.

One of the little ones possessed the exact same aura and sharp, proud face as Xuan Long. It was undeniably her son’s cub...her grandson!

But what had truly rendered her speechless, forcing her to clutch her aching heart in complete shock, was the tiny girl sitting in the woven basket near the stone table.

Little Yue.

The little snake features, her soft eyes, and her gentle aura were the absolute spitting image of her own youth! It was as if she were staring at a miniature version of herself from decades ago.

Her granddaughter had taken after her so completely.

Sitting in the dim light of the evening breeze beside the quiet pond, the female squeezed her eyes shut, a tear silently slipping down her cheek as she clutched her head in deep, agonizing longing.
