Su Qinglan is caught by Xuan Long after a chaotic night, partially undressed and embarrassed. She tells Xuan Long about An Mo's deception, enraging him. Meanwhile, a mysterious female watches from afar, recognizing Xuan Long as her son and a cub as her grandson. She is deeply moved by the resemblance and the sight of the little girl, Yue, who reminds her of her own youth.

While everyone in the estate remained busy with their own matters, nobody noticed the quiet disappearance that happened in the darkness.

The cubs had already fallen asleep.

The adults were busy inside the main residence, and the master bedroom was once again filled with enough chaos to make everyone outside pretend they heard absolutely nothing.

Meanwhile, far away from the garden...

The mysterious female, the male accompanying her, and the little mermaid cub quietly disappeared into the darkness.

No one saw them leave.

No one knew when they had arrived.

And no one even knew that they had ever been there.

By the time the first rays of sunlight appeared the next morning, there was no trace of them left.

It was as if they had never existed.

The next morning, after waking up and eating a hearty breakfast, all the cubs headed straight back out to the garden to play.

However, little Yue Yue had her own secret mission. Since she had not yet gained a human form, her tiny, snow-white snake body slithered quietly through the lush green grass.

She sneaked away from the main group, awkwardly pushing two big bottles of milk along with her snout and coils.

She made her way to the secluded pond at the edge of the garden, where she had previously spotted that fish cub. Resting her chin on the bottle, she let out a few soft, piteous hiss-hisses, waiting behind the tall grass.

She peeked out again and again... but no one appeared. The pond was completely empty and quiet.

Little Yue Yue flicked her pink tongue in total confusion, staring helplessly at the water.

Suddenly, her older brother Xiao San heard her tiny rustling in the grass. He trotted over from the main garden on his little legs to check on his little sister.

"Yue Yue? What are you doing all the way over here?" Xiao San asked, tilting his head.

Little Yue Yue couldn’t speak human language yet, but as snake beastmen, Xiao San understood her perfectly. She let out a soft, questioning hiss, gesturing with her small white tail toward the quiet water.

Brother... is there another cub living in the pond?

Xiao San walked up to the edge of the bank, lifted his small nose, and sniffed the air carefully.

"There’s no other cub here, silly," Xiao San said, shaking his head. "All of us are playing in the garden. Come on, let me take you back."

Suddenly, his eyes landed on the heavy, full bottle of milk resting beside her white coils. His little eyebrows furrowed in concern. "Wait... you haven’t drunk your milk yet?"

Before Yue Yue could react, her overly protective older brother immediately stooped down and scooped her up into his chubby arms.

He wrapped one arm around her slender white body and used his other hand to hold the bottle right up to her snout. "Here, drink up! Father said you need to drink all your milk to grow big and strong!"

Yue Yue’s blue gemstone eyes went wide with pure horror as the sweet milk trickled past her fangs!

She was already stuffed to the absolute brim!

To get this current bottle, she had used her cute, pitiful tail-swishing to get a bottle from her father, Xuan Long, then slithered over to Father Shi Feng for a second bottle, and finally begged Father Hu Yan for a third one!

She has already drunk her fill if she drank these two bottles. Also, she is afraid her little snake belly would puff up like a round, white sausage!

Looking at her not-so-big brother happily feeding her with so much devotion, Yue Yue didn’t know whether to cry or hiss in frustration.

Knowing that if she actually drank these two bottles, her little belly would literally pop, Yue Yue quickly closed her eyes, let her tiny white head go completely limp against Xiao San’s arm, and began softly letting out fake, tiny snores...faking sleep with all her might!

Xiao San froze, holding the bottle in midair. He looked down at his "sleeping" sister, completely unaware of her desperate acting, and carefully cradled her soft white coils against his chest, carrying her back to the garden like a precious, stuffed little rope.

Sunlight streamed through the tall carved windows of the master bedroom, signaling that midday had already arrived by the time Su Qinglan’s eyelashes fluttered open.

Her body felt blissfully sore, thoroughly pampered, and exceptionally warm.

Lying right beside her on the massive silk bed was Rong Ye. He had been awake for a while, but feeling too wonderfully lazy to get up, the majestic nine-tailed fox was simply lounging under the soft covers, admiring his beautiful female with eyes full of deep, languid affection.

One of his nine plush tails was gently coiled around her short, fluffy orange tail under the blanket, lazily flicking back and forth to tickle her. His soft violet-tipped fox ears twitched happily atop his hair.

Su Qinglan let out a soft, cozy squeak as the tickling sensation sent a pleasant shiver up her spine.

She buried her face against his broad, bare chest, her hand lightly tracing the firm muscle of his shoulder.

"Rong Ye... stop tickling," she mumbled softly, her voice still thick with sleep.

Rong Ye let out a low, purring laugh that vibrated right against her cheek.

He leaned down, planting a row of soft, lingering kisses along her neck. "Good morning, Lanlan. Or rather, good afternoon."

Su Qinglan giggled, stretching her arms above her head before sitting up, letting the silky sheets drape over her waist.

As she turned, her eyes naturally landed on Rong Ye’s arms and shoulders, and she froze, blinking in surprise.

The faint beastman stripe markings that usually decorated his porcelain skin had completely vanished! His arms and shoulders were now completely smooth and radiant with a subtle, divine sheen.

"Rong Ye, look!" Su Qinglan gasped, reaching out to gently trace his bare arm. "Your beast marks... they’re completely gone!"

Rong Ye looked down at his own arms, a proud, satisfied smile curving his lips as his violet-tipped fox ears twitched.

"That’s right. During yesterday’s breakthrough at the Sacred Pond, I successfully advanced past Level 13 and reached Level 15."
