Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 714: The Moment Father’s Anger Turned to Panic

Now, the entire group arrived back inside the Dragon Beast City and walked directly toward the house. Mo Xiao Li was literally squirming and twisting in Shi Feng’s arms, ready to slip away at any given second.
But no matter how much he cried or made a fuss, Shi Feng’s arms were like solid iron and would not budge for a single moment. Rong Ye was thoroughly enjoying himself, amused by the sight of the squirming little imoogi.
Meanwhile, the two tiger cubs were completely dejected. They did not even utter a single sound, too afraid to further anger their father, who looked like a walking Yama right now.
They were carried straight to their grandfather’s house. Before running out to search, Hu Yan and Han Jue had left the remaining younger cubs there.
They had explicitly chosen not to disturb Su Qinglan and Xuan Long, knowing Xuan Long had just returned and that Su Qinglan would get dangerously agitated and worried if she found out the twins were missing.
The moment they walked through the door, the grandfather, Su Mingxuan, and grandmother, Wang Mulan, immediately rushed forward to check on the children.
Hu Yan didn’t say a word. He walked to the center of the room and immediately dropped the two tiger cubs onto the floor.
Xiao Yi and Xiao Er instantly sat down, completely dejected, lowering their faces toward the ground.
They were finally, truly afraid. At first, they hadn’t thought much of their little adventure, but now, realizing the sheer gravity of what they had done, absolute terror filled their little hearts.
Shi Feng stepped up right next to them and set Mo Xiao Li down on the floor as well.
Mo Xiao Li looked at his two tiny nephews sitting so dejectedly beside him and secretly poked his tongue out at them.
In his mind, he thought they were being entirely too dramatic.
’They are already so dejected just from this? We still have a whole future ahead of us! How can they be so weak? After all, this scolding is nothing to be afraid of,’ he thought arrogantly.
But right at that exact second, Mo Xiao Li felt a freezing, chilling layer of pressure wash over his face.
He instinctively peeked behind him, only to find his own father, City Lord Mo Qingli, standing there and glaring at him with pure murder in his eyes.
Mo Xiao Li violently shuddered. All of his bravado vanished in an instant.
He immediately sat down properly and took a position exactly identical to the two tiger cubs, lowering his head and staring intently at the wooden floorboards, which suddenly looked incredibly beautiful and interesting to him.
Wang Mulan could not take the tense silence anymore.
She had been worried sick when she first heard that the three children had completely disappeared.
She immediately surrounded the three of them, her voice trembling as she asked, "What on earth have you all done? Where did you go?"
Hu Yan could no longer contain the roaring anger burning in his chest. His expression transformed into something incredibly fierce as he bared his teeth and barked out the truth.
"They ran out of the city gates! We found them hiding inside an abandoned cave far outside the Dragon Beast City, fighting off rogue beasts!"
The moment those words left his mouth, the expressions of everyone in the room...especially Su Mingxuan, Wang Mulan, and Mo Qingli instantly turned pitch black.
Mo Qingli was completely furious as he stood there glaring at his cub.
He looked at his two innocent little grandsons who had been dragged into this dangerous situation and then at Hu Yan’s furious face.
Mo Qingli knew his own son was actually the main one at fault here. After all, how could two young tiger cubs who were not even a year old have such a bold, dangerous idea on their own?
Looking at his son, Mo Qingli immediately reached down, twisted Mo Xiao Li’s ear hard, and asked in a threatening voice, "Tell me right now, are you the one who lured your nephews out of the city?"
Mo Xiao Li immediately nodded his head frantically in pain.
"Ah! Yes, yes! Father, let go! My ear is breaking!"
Mo Qingli’s expression turned pitch black. He let go of the ear only to cross his arms and look down at him with pure disdain.
"Let go? I should take your whole ear off! Has your brain completely rotted from all that sleeping? Taking such young cubs outside the safety of the city walls...do you think the wild forest is your personal playground?"
"We... we just wanted to eat in peace," Mo Xiao Li muttered under his breath, rubbing his red ear.
"Eat in peace?!" Mo Qingli mocked him instantly, his voice dripping with venom.
"Oh, wonderful! The great Young Master of the Dragon Beast City almost became a peaceful afternoon snack for rogue beasts! If your brother-in-law hadn’t tracked your pathetic scent down, you would be sitting inside a wolf’s stomach right now, still complaining about being full!"
If Wang Mulan had not stepped in at that exact moment to pull Mo Qingli back, the City Lord would have truly taught his son a harsh lesson.
"Look at you," Mo Qingli continued to mockingly scoff, pointing a finger at his trembling son.
"You call yourself an uncle? You’re supposed to protect them, yet you lead them straight into a monster’s den like a delivery boy."
"If you can’t even outrun a common rogue beast in that small form of yours, did your brilliant mind ever stop to think how two tiny tiger cubs would manage to escape? Were you planning to use them as a shield?"
"I protected them!" Mo Xiao Li protested weakly, his face flushing. "I coiled around the big one!"
"And you almost got squeezed into a snake skin belt!" Mo Qingli snapped back, completely shutting him down. "Quiet! Not another word from you."
Hu Yan also looked down and said coldly, "You two, follow me back to the house right now."
The cubs looked utterly miserable.
Even the younger cubs who had been left behind safely at the house were now crowded at the inner room gate, peeking out anxiously as they watched their two elder brothers getting heavily reprimanded by their father.
But suddenly, Xiao Er’s little body went completely stiff. He felt incredibly dizzy, and his stomach churned violently.
Before anyone could react, the little tiger cub rushed forward and vomited the entire contents of his stomach right onto the floor.
Hu Yan, who had been shouting in anger just a second ago, instantly froze. His anger vanished, replaced by sudden panic.
He quickly picked up his small cub, moving him to a cleaner spot, and gently patted his furry back. "Xiao Er? What’s wrong? What happened?"
Everyone in the room was completely stunned by the sudden turn of events.
Xiao Er was retching quite badly, his small frame shaking, causing everyone’s expression to tense up with worry.
Wang Mulan looked incredibly afraid, stepping forward and asking anxiously, "Did the cubs eat something bad?"
Hearing that, Mo Xiao Li immediately remembered the absolute mountain of food they had consumed in the cave.
Seeing his father’s gaze snap back toward him, Mo Xiao Li quickly looked away, his eyes practically twitching with guilt.
