The three younglings who ventured outside the city were brought back and scolded by their parents. After the initial scolding, one of the tiger cubs, Xiao Er, suddenly became ill and vomited, causing his father, Hu Yan, to panic.

Mo Qingli noticed his son’s shifty eyes and immediately targeted him again, his voice dangerously low. "Mo Xiao Li... what exactly did you feed them?"

"Nothing! Just... just some leftover soup!" Mo Xiao Li squeaked, backing up a step.

"Leftover soup doesn’t cause a cub to look like a bloated fish," Mo Qingli mocked him coldly, stepping closer.

"Look at his stomach! It’s as hard as a stone bowl. You fed them the entire kitchen’s supply, didn’t you? Go on, sneak out toward the door again and see if I don’t break your legs before you hit the courtyard."

Hu Yan’s anger was now completely replaced by intense fear. He kept petting his younger son, but Xiao Er’s condition was not getting any better.

Wang Mulan quickly took the limp little cub into her hands, carefully checking his body.

After a moment, her face hardened. "It seems he is quite traumatized from the attack, and most importantly, he has a very bad stomach. It looks like he has eaten cold, heavy food on a freezing winter day."

Hearing her words, Hu Yan suddenly remembered the scene in the cave. There were many huge stone bowls lying on the ground, completely licked clean.

They were only such small cubs; how could their little bodies handle so much heavy food? Even back at the house, the fathers never allowed the cubs to eat too much at once.

The adults had always monitored them carefully, but they never expected the twins to be so gluttonous.

Hu Yan’s face was literally filled with shock and pain as he looked at his sick, shivering youngest son.

He muttered in a panicked voice, "I should go call Lan Lan right now. She is a witch doctor; she will heal him."

Rong Ye immediately stepped forward and stopped him.

"Hu Yan, you wait here and stay with the cub. I will go call her right now."

Without waiting for a response, Rong Ye immediately ran out of the house at full speed.

Hu Yan nodded numbly, looking down at his sick son. Then, his eyes shifted to his eldest son, Xiao Yi, who was standing frozen stiff nearby.

Xiao Yi was staring at the miserable condition of his younger brother with a face completely filled with guilt and sorrow.

Hu Yan reached out and checked the eldest cub, his voice softening with worry. "Xiao Yi, do you feel an upset stomach or something else? Tell me the truth."

Being asked by his father, Xiao Yi suddenly felt a wave of nausea hit his own stomach. His belly felt incredibly bloated and unwell from the cold food, but he was too afraid to say anything out loud. He just stood there shivering.

Rong Ye did not stop for even a single moment. He ran at full speed through the snowy streets, his figure disappearing like a gust of wind against the white landscape.

Finally, he reached the courtyard where Su Qinglan and Xuan Long were resting.

Before he had even stepped inside the house, he hurriedly called out, his voice sharp with urgency, "Lan Lan! Something happened to the cubs!"

The moment Su Qinglan heard those words, her heart skipped a beat. She immediately pushed open the bedroom door, her hair slightly messy.

Seeing Rong Ye’s anxious expression, her face instantly turned pale. "What happened?"

Rong Ye quickly explained everything he knew in short, breathless bursts.

"The cubs sneaked outside the city... they secretly ate a huge amount of cold food in an abandoned cave... Xiao Er suddenly started vomiting badly..."

Before he could even finish speaking, Su Qinglan’s expression changed completely.

Without wasting another second, she quickly threw a thick winter coat over her clothes and rushed outside into the freezing air. Xuan Long’s face also darkened to a terrifying pitch as he immediately followed right behind her.

Su Qinglan’s heart was beating wildly in her chest.

Although she had not witnessed the rogue beast attack or the rescue herself, just imagining her tiny, fragile cubs gorging themselves on a mountain of ice-cold food during the dead of winter made her hands tremble.

She prayed over and over in her heart as she ran. Please let them be alright... Please don’t let anything happen to my babies...

In only a short while, she hurried through the front doors of her parents’ house. The moment she stepped inside, her footsteps froze.

Little Xiao Er was lying completely limp and weak in Hu Yan’s broad arms. His little striped face had turned pale from vomiting, and he looked completely exhausted, his chest heaving slightly.

Not far away, Xiao Yi was leaning weakly against his grandmother, Wang Mulan. The elder little tiger cub looked just as miserable, his tiny paws quietly holding his own bloated stomach.

The moment the two cubs saw their mother crash through the door, their eyes immediately turned bright red.

"Mama..."

Tiny tears quickly filled their eyes, spilling over their furry cheeks.

Seeing their utterly pitiful appearance, Su Qinglan’s heart ached with intense pain. She immediately walked over and knelt down in front of them on the floor. Her hands gently stroked their fluffy, shivering heads.

"It’s alright," she murmured softly. "Mama is here. Don’t be afraid."

Her gentle, familiar voice immediately calmed the frightened, traumatized cubs.

Only then did she steel her nerves and carefully examine their little bodies, pressing her hands against their tight abdomens. After checking them over thoroughly, she secretly let out a long breath of relief.

Although the sudden vomiting had frightened everyone in the room to death, it was actually a fortunate thing.

The cubs had eaten an enormous, unnatural amount of cold food. If all of that heavy, frozen grease had remained inside their tiny, immature stomachs, it would have been much more troublesome and dangerous.

Throwing most of it out was actually helping their bodies purge the poison.

Even so, Su Qinglan still deeply blamed herself.

How had she failed to notice that these little gluttons had secretly carried away so many heavy stone bowls from the kitchen?

They were still such young cubs. How could they possibly digest that much? Especially in such freezing winter weather where food turned to ice in minutes.

Without delaying any longer, Su Qinglan raised both of her hands.

A warm, vibrant green light slowly gathered around her fingertips, glowing softly in the tense room. She pressed her palms gently against Xiao Er’s chest and stomach.

The gentle healing energy quietly surrounded Xiao Er’s tiny body.

The little cub’s uncomfortable, twisting expression gradually relaxed. His upset, burning stomach slowly settled under the soothing warmth, and even his ragged breathing became much steadier.

After making sure Xiao Er was out of immediate distress, Su Qinglan moved over to Xiao Yi.

She gently placed a hand on his small, bloated tummy. Another stream of warm healing energy flowed directly into his body. The uncomfortable, hard bloating slowly began to ease.

The remaining coldness trapped inside his stomach was gradually dispersed by the soothing maternal warmth.

Only then did Xiao Yi finally let out a small, shaky sigh of relief, his ears twitching weakly.

Although both cubs still looked incredibly weak and pale after vomiting so much, their conditions were already much better than before.
