Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off Chapter 712: Run, Little Uncle... Too Late!
Previously on Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off...
Inside the cave, the rogue beast thrashed violently, its massive paw swinging out blindly.
The heavy impact clipped Xiao Yi, sending the fluffy little tiger cub flying backward through the air. He soared straight out of the cave entrance, landing with a soft thud in the deep snow.
Dizzily, Xiao Yi shook his furry head and opened his eyes.
But instead of seeing the white landscape, his vision was entirely blocked by a pair of massive, terrifyingly familiar paws.
Slowly, the little cub looked up... and up.
His tiny heart nearly stopped.
The fear of the rogue beast was instantly replaced by an even greater, more primitive dread.
Standing right above him was Hu Yan. His large father’s eyes were completely enraged, blazing with a terrifying light as he glared down at his eldest son.
Xiao Yi swallowed hard, his ears pinning flat against his skull.
Trembling, he slowly raised one tiny, apologetic paw in the air, offering a weak, submissive wave.
"F-Father..."
Hu Yan didn’t even have time to deal with the brat yet. Glancing into the cave, he saw the rogue beast baring its fangs, about to bite down on his second son, Xiao Er.
Stove was desperately straining with all his might to hold the monster back, his green vines snapping under the pressure.
Hu Yan let out an earth-shattering, furious roar that caused the snow to avalanche off the nearby rocks.
Without a second thought, his massive tiger form charged straight into the cave like a golden streak of lightning.
The moment his father rushed past him, Xiao Yi, who had been lying listlessly on the ground a second ago, instantly stood straight up on his hind legs.
With his giant backer finally here, his courage skyrocketed to the heavens.
He puffed out his tiny chest, marched back to the cave entrance, and growled angrily at the remaining rogue beasts, completely mocking them.
"How dare you lay a hand on me and my brother?!" he roared, his tiny tail whipping the air.
"See if my father doesn’t skin you all alive! Just you wait!"
Despite his grand, threatening words, his voice was still that of an infant cub.
Instead of a fierce tiger roar, it sounded exactly like a high-pitched cat’s meow echoing through the forest.
Inside the cave, Xiao Er was shivering so hard his stripes were practically vibrating.
But before the rogue beast’s jaws could clamp down on him, a towering shadow instantly materialized in front of him.
Hu Yan arrived like a god of destruction. With one smooth, brutal motion, his massive paw tore straight through the neck of the ferocious beast.
Splat!
A spray of dark blood erupted from the impact.
A few stray drops splattered right onto Xiao Er’s horrified little face.
The cub froze like a statue, his eyes wide as saucers, completely traumatized...not by the monster, but by the sheer brutality of his angry father.
Right on Hu Yan’s heels, Han Jue stormed into the cave, his expression freezing cold.
With a single, swift strike of his powerful paws, he snapped the neck of the second rogue beast, dropping it instantly to the dirt.
With two of the enemies taken care of, the pressure on Stove finally eased.
The plant could finally focus all of his power on the single remaining beast.
"Die, you ugly thing!" Stove roared, his green vines constricting like iron bands, instantly crushing the rogue beast’s chest until it collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
In less than a minute, the entire terrifying crisis was completely resolved.
The cave fell into a dead silence, save for the heavy breathing of the two furious fathers.
Xiao Yi, who had been boldly shouting at the entrance just a moment ago, instantly lost all his bravado.
He silently dropped back onto all fours, his tiny tail tucking tightly between his legs. He and Xiao Er exchanged a look of pure horror.
The monsters were dead.
But they suddenly realized that their own survival rate had just dropped to zero.
After all, they had sneaked out of the house, stolen a mountain of food, and ended up outside the city gates.
Looking at Hu Yan’s twitching, enraged tiger ears and Han Jue’s dark expression, the cubs silently squeezed their eyes shut, knowing their little bottoms were about to pay the ultimate price.
Mo Xiao Li, who was still stuck in his small black imoogi form, had his eyes wide open as he witnessed the swift and brutal slaughter of the rogue beasts.
But unlike his nephews, his brain worked incredibly fast.
The moment he saw his massive brother-in-law, Hu Yan, raining down fists of fury, a cold sweat broke out across his scales.
’Forget the cubs! My own life is way more precious right now!’ he thought frantically.
If the brother-in-law caught him leading the kids out here, he wouldn’t just get a scolding...he’d be turned into a scaly rope!
With his tiny black tail twitching, Mo Xiao Li slithered low against the dirt, trying to use the shadows of the cave wall to sneak out completely undetected.
He was just inches away from freedom, ready to bolt into the snow, when the sunlight was suddenly blocked out once again.
He slowly raised his small snake-like head, only to freeze instantly.
A pair of narrow, dangerously beautiful, smiling eyes was staring directly down at him.
Mo Xiao Li violently shuddered, every single scale on his body standing on end.
"Oh? Is this not our dear little uncle, Xiao Li?" Rong Ye asked, his voice dripping with an incredibly gentle, sweet tone that made a pure arctic chill run straight down Mo Xiao Li’s back.
"Where exactly are you running off to in such a hurry, hmm?"
Mo Xiao Li didn’t even try to answer.
He whipped his body around, desperate to scramble in the opposite direction, but before he could even slide an inch, a heavy, massive hand clamped down right onto the tip of his black tail.
Trap!
He was yanked backward into the air, dangling helplessly like a piece of rope.
He looked up tearfully to see Shi Feng, the giant lion beastman, holding him by the tail with a completely unbothered expression, his thick golden hair blowing in the wind.
Shi Feng didn’t say a word, but his grip was like an iron vice.
