The group arrived at the Colosseum City and spoke with a Blue Fire Spirit guard. Marble, a known alchemist, vouched for them, allowing them to enter. Elayne felt a connection with the spirit and hoped to befriend them to gain access to their mother, the Queen. Inside, they were awestruck by the city's grandeur, its bustling markets, and the ever-vigilant Queen's Guards. At the city's heart, within a massive furnace, a woman made of blue fire emerged.

Deep within the heart of the great furnace, shifting blue flames blazed endlessly across a gigantic pool of pure fire. Divine spirit energy and nether energy fused together in perfect harmony, creating a living sea of heat and power. Beneath that endless ocean of blue fire sat a massive alchemical cauldron that continuously released thick waves of alchemical essence into the surrounding air.

From the center of those flames a figure slowly rose, as if she had simply been taking a leisurely bath. A gorgeous woman made entirely of living blue fire stepped out of the deadly sea. Her silhouette was well-defined and powerfully curvaceous, with a large, full bust, wide hips, and long blazing hair that flowed behind her like liquid sunlight. The flames that would instantly kill any ordinary being parted around her without resistance. She walked calmly onto the black stone floor and rapidly put on a dark blue dress decorated with intricate gold patterns. The dress itself had been woven from flexible metallic strands that moved with her body like living fabric.

Along with the dress she wore matching dark blue metallic heels, additional gold ornaments, colorful jewels that caught the light of the flames, and a large black crown that floated just above her blazing head. Her sharp golden-blue eyes slowly surveyed the vast and silent palace around her.

A small servant, a young female blue flame spirit, stood waiting nearby in respectful silence. The difference in their sizes was staggering. Compared to her tiny attendant, the woman stood over three times taller — a true giantess roughly five meters in height who could grow even larger after thousands of years of accumulating power.

"Your Majesty, the entrance combat tests for the tournament this decade are about to begin," the young Blue Fire Spirit reported in a clear, respectful voice. "It seems there are many new contestants this time. Some have come from the outer tribes, and... a few mysterious and strange ones appeared as well. They simply ran into the registration area and were allowed entrance after Mistress Marble paid the fees for them."

"Hm?" The Queen’s eyes widened slightly, gleaming for a brief moment at the mention of the name "Marble." After all, it was that White Ghost who had once helped her design and build the very bath she now enjoyed so deeply. "She’s here? It seems the conflicts on the surface have finally calmed down then... I do not wish to get involved with the world above, not with a place I can never reach." Her eyes revealed a quiet, detached loneliness that even years of building this massive city had never been able to relieve.

"They are waiting for your blessing, Your Majesty," the servant added softly.

"..."

She gave a small nod and began walking through the vast corridors of her palace. The moment she left the private bathroom area she was greeted by several high-ranking nobles who regularly visited the city. Among them stood Nether Dragons, White Ghosts, Rakshasa, Vampires, and even a few members of the Withering Tree Race — all belonging to the most prestigious noble families of the Netherworld.

"Ah, Your Majesty!"

"It is a pleasure to see you blessing us with your divine presence today."

"You look as blazingly gorgeous as ever."

"The Tournament is about to begin, Your Majesty."

"Yeah, I know," the Queen replied, her sharp eyes looking past them into the distance as she completely ignored their formal greetings.

In the entire Netherworld there were only a handful of beings who could be approached by members of the most powerful noble races and simply ignore them without consequence whenever they were not in the mood to speak.

The nobles quietly followed her as she made her way to the highest viewing platform of the colosseum, where she could watch the tournament in complete comfort.

The announcer was a tall blazing skeleton who had worked under the colosseum for many years. He had been employed specifically because of his natural charisma, even as an Undead.

Queen Spectria emerged from the highest tower, her entire blazing body visible to the massive crowd below. Pillars of blue flame surged upward and exploded around the edges of the colosseum in a spectacular display of power.

The people, upon gazing at her divine presence, raised their arms high and erupted in celebration.

The people were completely devoted to her and loved her deeply. She was not merely a ruler. She was a living figure of legend, a goddess who was revered and worshipped in her own church throughout the city. She was widely known as the "Goddess of War" who demanded constant entertainment from her people.

She sat down on her golden throne and crossed her long legs with elegant ease, looking down at the arena with a slightly bored expression. She had performed this exact ceremony for many years already, after all.

What could possibly make this tournament any different from the ones that had come before?

Nothing, really.

Right?

Or...

She narrowed her golden-blue eyes and gazed more carefully at the contestants gathered below. There were a great many of them this time. Over fifty fighters had already passed the first entrance battle and now waited for the true competition to begin.
