Black Bellied President Dotes on Wife Chapter 1651 - Chapter 1651

Lou Ziling was incensed that someone had secretly photographed her and transmitted the images to Jing Xi in such a compromising manner. This kind of time bomb, if allowed to detonate repeatedly, could transform a fabrication into an undeniable truth!
Following the phone number that had sent the message to Jing Xi, Lou Ziling swiftly identified Wu Wei as the perpetrator. To her astonishment, upon locating Wu Wei, Fu Rongting was discovered standing beside her, his expression distinctly cold.
Upon seeing Lou Ziling, Wu Wei offered a gentle, captivating smile. "What auspicious wind brings you two handsome gentlemen here today? Perhaps we should take a photo as a keepsake!"
The mere mention of taking photographs instantly conjured images of the previous illicit shots for both Lou Ziling and Fu Rongting, causing their faces to drain of color.
"You were the one who dispatched those photographs to Jing Xi, weren't you?" Lou Ziling inquired icily.
"Indeed, it was I! You are embarking on a romantic rendezvous with Zuo Jia, and naturally, Young Master Fu finds himself in a rather pitiable situation, having been cuckolded yet compelled to endure it silently!"
Wu Wei demonstrated no fear of escalating the conflict, her words sharp and pointed, each one designed to inflict maximum pain.
"Young Master Fu."
Lou Ziling abruptly turned her gaze towards Fu Rongting. "This is a profound misunderstanding. My sole intention was to solicit a favor from Miss Zuo. She possesses a considerable criminal history and has perpetually harbored malicious intent. Even if you harbor doubts about my words, surely you can place your faith in your wife."
Nevertheless, in reality, Fu Rongting's trust resided more firmly with Lou Ziling.
It wasn't a question of disbelief towards Zuo Jia; rather, it was an undeniable fact that Zuo Jia had previously harbored affections for Lou Ziling. However, Lou Ziling had never reciprocated these feelings, nor had she ever made any moves to initiate romantic overtures.
Despite this, Fu Rongting still experienced a disquietude whenever the two encountered each other.
Irrespective of Zuo Jia's past or present feelings for Lou Ziling, Fu Rongting found himself strongly disinclined to permit any ongoing association between them.
"Should you require assistance with anything in the future, you may approach me directly. It is simply not advantageous for my wife to be visibly involved," Fu Rongting stated calmly before turning to depart.
Lou Ziling did not linger. Perhaps fearing Wu Wei might capture more compromising photos and forward them to Jing Xi, she also opted to disengage from the situation, choosing not to foster any further proximity with Wu Wei.
Wu Wei found their abrupt departure peculiar. Why had these two individuals arrived with such forceful intent, only to release her so readily?
Her bewilderment was short-lived. Within a mere two days, her beloved coffee shop was unceremoniously shut down by the Industry and Commerce Bureau. The coffee she served was discovered to contain a potent concentration of heroin. Furthermore, evidence surfaced of her illicit entanglement with numerous men, coupled with her espionage activities – stealing state secrets and trafficking them to foreign powers. She was swiftly apprehended and incarcerated.
It felt as though she had plummeted from the celestial heavens to the nethermost depths of hell in the span of mere days! Wu Wei harbored a surreal sensation, as if trapped in a waking dream.
Her golden era had just begun, only to be utterly demolished in an instant!
The men who had once lavished her with affection severed all ties the moment news of her imprisonment reached them. Not a single soul admitted to knowing her.
Wu Wei's existence within the confines of prison proved more agonizing than death itself. She remained uncertain whether Lou Ziling or Fu Rongting alone, or perhaps the combined force of both their actions, had orchestrated her downfall. A burning hatred consumed her, and she vowed to exact vengeance upon her release.
However, the severity of her sentence meant her remaining years would be spent behind bars. By the time she was finally liberated, she would be a wizened old woman, her teeth long gone and her hair white as snow!
……
As spring unfurled its vibrant tapestry, painting the landscape with blooming and falling blossoms, City W, a renowned tourist destination, embraced the most breathtaking period of the year.
The outskirts teemed with exquisite flowers, flitting butterflies, and an atmosphere imbued with floral fragrance. The air was crisp and invigorating, punctuated by the joyous melodies of birdsong.
During his off-duty hours, Fu Rongting found solace in fishing excursions in the wilderness. He would meticulously select the plumpest fish, reserving them for his personal consumption. Each evening, upon returning home, he would prepare them, transforming them into the most delectable fish soup for Zuo Jia.
It was the weekend, and Zuo Jia, enjoying a respite from her duties, accompanied Fu Rongting to a suburban lake for a spot of fishing.
The art of angling demanded considerable patience. Despite over an hour elapsing without a single nibble, Fu Rongting remained seated, as unmoving as a mountain.
Zuo Jia, her arm entwined with his, rested her head on his shoulder, drifting into a gentle slumber.
When Lou Ziling arrived at the lakeside accompanied by Jing Xi, she witnessed Fu Rongting tenderly turning his head to bestow a kiss upon Zuo Jia's forehead. A wave of warmth and profound happiness washed over her.
Lou Ziling cast a glance at Jing Xi, on the verge of making a move, when Fu Rongting's eyes snapped towards them with palpable alertness.
His initial surprise at their appearance was evident, but he quickly offered a nod and a silencing gesture, conveying that Zuo Jia was asleep and should not be disturbed.
Jing Xi chuckled softly and whispered to Lou Ziling, "You two are so affectionate. With such a devoted husband, it's no wonder Zuo Jia no longer harbors feelings for you!"
Lou Ziling felt a pang of helplessness. Ever since Jing Xi discovered Zuo Jia's waning affection for him, she had gleefully delighted in teasing him.
Yet, paradoxically, he fervently desired Zuo Jia's disinterest!
"Shall we seek out another location?"
“I won’t be moving; the view here is simply the best, and my legs are giving out!”
She patted her swollen belly, refusing to take another step.
Lou Ziling, by her side, gently held her and then arranged a comfortable recliner. After that, he took out his fishing gear and began to cast his line.
Jing Xi was quite content. Although she was nearing her due date, Lou Ziling hadn't allowed her to venture out much, leaving her feeling bored within the manor. Today's outing to fish brought a welcome change of mood.
Soaking in the warm sun, surrounded by the scent of blossoms, listening to the birds' cheerful songs, and watching her husband fish, all while anticipating the delicious spicy fish soup for dinner, Jing Xi felt a profound sense of happiness.
Zuo Jia eventually stirred awake and noticed a couple resting nearby. Initially, she paid them little mind, but a nagging feeling soon prompted her to look more closely. Rubbing her eyes, she turned her head and gasped – it was Lou Ziling and Jing Xi!
She initially suspected she was dreaming or hallucinating, but the reality of their presence was undeniable!
The entire scene struck her as exceptionally peculiar.
Immediately, Zuo Jia glanced at Fu Rongting, wanting to inquire about the situation. However, she hesitated, fearing his displeasure if she appeared too interested in Lou Ziling. Thus, her lips parted, but no words emerged.
Sensing her apprehension, Fu Rongting lowered his head and bestowed a tender kiss upon his wife’s forehead. He then gently guided her head to rest on his shoulder. “Be a good girl. We stayed up rather late last night. If you’re feeling weary, just sleep a little longer. We’ll head home for some fish soup once you wake up.”
The reason for their late night was Fu Rongting's playful advancements, which had caused Zuo Jia to plead for respite multiple times before she could finally escape his embrace.
Zuo Jia’s face immediately flushed crimson, and she whispered admonishingly, “Be quiet and don’t say another word! We’re not alone here!”
Fu Rongting feigned innocence. “Did I say anything? Jiajia, are you perhaps misunderstanding? Alas, you’re becoming more and more mischievous. I’ve been thoroughly corrupted by you!”
A mixture of exasperation and amusement crossed Zuo Jia’s features. She reached out and playfully pinched his ear. “Who is the truly mischievous one here?”
“It’s you, you're so bad, look at you – you’ve scared away my fish!”
“And who is the bad one?” Zuo Jia tightened her hold on his ear.
Fu Rongting chuckled, relenting. “Me, me, me! I’m the bad one, alright?”
Zuo Jia released his ear, her usually gentle and beautiful face breaking into a radiant smile. “That’s more like it!”
From a short distance away, Jing Xi observed the affectionate young couple and waved to Lou Ziling. “Darling, come closer! I want to playfully pinch your ears too!”
As she spoke, she cast a teasing glance towards Zuo Jia.
Not to be outdone, Zuo Jia responded by playfully pulling Fu Rongting’s ear, a clear demonstration of their mutual affection.
Both Lou Ziling and Fu Rongting felt a growing sense of dread. Witnessing the couple’s playful rivalry, they silently prayed, “Please don’t hurt each other over this!”
