Qi Taiguo and Ning Ge discuss something in private, leaving Cheng Su curious but choosing not to pry. As the weather cools and Qi Xiaoqi grows, Cheng Su prepares to travel to Guangcheng for Cheng Yaozu and Ying Xiaoya's wedding. Qi Taiguo cannot attend due to work, while his parents, despite initial reluctance from Father Qi, decide to travel to Guangcheng after Mother Qi insists on seeing her grandson and strengthening ties with the Cheng family.

Regarding the topic of the in-laws traveling to Guangcheng for a wedding celebration, Cheng Su wasn't particularly taken aback. While her father-in-law opted not to attend, her mother-in-law, she knew, would never pass up such an occasion.

"It's already November, and not much is happening at home," Father Qi explained. "Your mother-in-law is set on venturing out to see the world. I couldn't dissuade her, so she's going."

"That's perfectly reasonable," Cheng Su replied with a smile. "You two have dedicated much of your lives to hard work. Now that the children who needed settling are, and both Jianguo and Fengping are pursuing higher education, it's your time to savor life. Exploring new places when you have the leisure is a wonderful idea."

"Precisely my sentiment," Mother Qi chimed in. "We've toiled our entire lives, and the farthest we've journeyed is Qing City. There's merit in venturing further afield and experiencing more of the world." She then inquired, "Is Xiao Qi still asleep?"

They had barely settled for five minutes before she was already eager to see her grandson, only for the child to be slumbering.

"He only drifted off not too long ago."

"I'll just pop in to see him. It's been months since I last laid eyes on him, and I've missed him dearly!" Mother Qi announced, rising to her feet.

Father Qi gently restrained her. "Look at you, so restless! He just fell asleep; why disturb him? He'll surely cry if roused from a light slumber."

Mother Qi responded sheepishly, "I'll be as quiet as a mouse; how could I possibly wake him?" She added, "May I at least glimpse him from the doorway?"

Witnessing this, a warmth spread through Cheng Su's heart. "Mom, please do go and take a look," she said. "Just be extremely quiet. This little one is growing rapidly and possesses quite a spirited temper. If he doesn't get adequate rest, he's liable to cause quite a scene!"

"Oh, alright, alright," Mother Qi, beaming as if granted a royal decree, promptly made her way to the room.

Cheng Su resumed her seat and commenced a conversation with Father Cheng and Father Qi.

"Why didn't you bring Xiao Bao along?" Cheng Su inquired, pouring tea for her father-in-law, referring to Qi Fenglian's son.

"Your elder sister mentioned she missed him and wished to spend a few days with him so we could enjoy ourselves," Father Qi replied. "So, at the train station, we allowed his mother to take him with her."

Cheng Su smiled. "That's also a good arrangement. I suspect Elder Sister's good news is on the horizon. Perhaps you won't even need to look after him next year!"

Currently, Qi Fenglian is involved with someone named Chu Changxing, and he harbors no objections to her having two children. Both have expressed their desire to build a life together and provide companionship. The matter of having more children is secondary, as his own son is already grown, and Qi Fenglian has a son of her own.

Father Qi, having only heard fragmented accounts of Qi Fenglian's new relationship and never having met the gentleman himself, turned to his daughter-in-law. "Have you met him? What is he like? Is he a good match?"

Just then, Mother Qi emerged from the room, treading softly and a radiant smile on her face. "Oh my, our Xiao Qi is truly a delight. So fair and tender, his little face is wonderfully soft, much like a tiny sweet bun. It's utterly charming. I believe his complexion inherited his mother's best qualities!"

Their discussion about Qi Fenglian's potential future happiness was abruptly interjected by Mother Qi. Father Qi considered scolding her, but on hearing her words, he remarked, "Otherwise, you perpetually fret at home. Wouldn't the daughter-in-law and your in-laws ensure he's well cared for?"

Mother Qi chuckled. "He is my grandson, after all. How could I not think of him?"

Father Qi let out a snort.

Father Cheng interjected, "It's natural to think of him. As a grandfather, I miss him dearly as well."

Mother Qi, finding an ally, swiftly cast a meaningful glance at Father Qi, as if to say, "See?"

Father Qi, ignoring her silent plea, returned to their earlier conversation and posed his question to Cheng Su once more.

"He's quite sincere. Not particularly affluent, but living together wouldn't pose any issues," Cheng Su mused before saying, "Since you two are here, why not extend an invitation to Sister and him for dinner at our residence tonight? It would be an excellent opportunity to meet him."
