Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1111: The Reward

The war against the Chaos Immortals had finally ended, but the aftermath was far from quiet.

Vale stood at the highest balcony of Shadow Castle, while his Divine Sense swept across the recovering cities of the Shadow Domain. The airships had resumed their routes, carrying supplies, healers, and artisans between the five major cities.

The aftermath of the battle was still etched into every wall and road, but the people had slowly resumed their everyday lives.

Among the five cities, Eustace, Clovis, Orpheus, Capone, and Euphemia, two had endured the siege with minimal damage.

Capone City had been spared thanks to Sreas, who had won his duel against the invading Chaos Immortal. His victory had stabilized the region and prevented further destruction.

Euphemia City had fared well too, though not by strength. Haruo had lost his duel, but instead of death, he was branded with a Chaos Seal that forced him to follow their commands. Fortunately, Vale had personally removed the seal after learning about it.

Well, it was just too easy with his Divine Extraction.

There wasn’t even a backlash after removing it... It was as if nothing had happened to Haruo aside from feeling a lot better.

Of course, it was an incredible feat, but it was nothing to Vale.

"Killing a hundred of them is not enough..." Vale muttered. Although he didn’t plan to fight to the death, he knew that he couldn’t just end this matter against the Chaos Immortals.

First, he didn’t want them to be desperate... After all, if they were really pushed back, they could easily annihilate the cities of the Shadow Domain, especially if they no longer cared about the possible karma they’d get. There was no way he could protect his people from all corners.

It would also be terrifying to imagine if they decided to use guerrilla tactics like destroying their traveling airships and anything related to him, just to get back at him through some means.

Since their side also suffered heavily because of their arrogance, he knew that he had to create a proper deal or treaty with them, and it should be heavily in their favor.

In any case, Vale’s focus right now was helping his cities...

The worst damage had fallen upon Orpheus City.

The city’s defenses had collapsed early, and the Chaos Immortals had used it as a staging ground. Entire districts were reduced to ash... Hundreds of Magic Automatons were destroyed... The barriers were shattered, and if not for the early evacuation, many residents would’ve died.

Clovis City, the capital, had also suffered heavily. Though it had endured the attack from the Chaos Beasts really well, the central plaza and several noble districts had been torn apart during the siege.

Still, Vale Sable Mourning Bell may have been created to kill, but it had saved many lives as well.

Vale then focused on the reconstruction that was happening in many parts of the city...

Thankfully, the Elementalists from the Elemental Arts Faction and the Order of the Lore Hunters had responded swiftly. These refugees were a great addition to their lineup of Arcanists.

Their Elementalists worked day and night to restore the walls, rebuild the Formation Circles and Elemental Traps, and even purify some of the corrupted zones created by the Chaos Beasts.

Of course, the Immortals were also working during this time...

Magnus, the Human Immortal, had taken the lead in this matter. He didn’t speak much, but his actions were clear. He led reconstruction efforts, coordinated logistics, and even personally reinforced the Formation Barriers of all cities using his mastery over Mystic Arts.

Vale, meanwhile, focused on stabilizing the Shadow Domain itself.

He reconnected the trade routes, reactivated the airship network to the nearby kingdoms, and ensured that the merchant guilds resumed operations.

Needless to say, Vale didn’t forget those who had helped the Shadow Domain...

Every faction, every Immortal, and every commander who had stood with his Domain would be rewarded once the situation within the Domain stabilizes.s

In the meantime, Kaela and the foreign Immortals were given a manor on the outskirts of Clovis City. It was a quiet place, surrounded by silverwood trees and protected by their own Formation Circle as they felt that the ones made by Magnus were a bit too crude for them...

Of course, Magnus didn’t mind it, and he was even happy to see how they would improve his creation.

"I like this..." Kaela muttered as she stayed in the manor while still waiting for the suppression of the Will of the Realm to completely disappear...

The manor was spacious, with enough room for training, meditation, and a gathering hall for the five of them.

Just like that, as the rebuilding stabilized and the citizens began to feel safe again, Vale finally turned his attention to the next phase.

Recognition.

He summoned his stewards and ordered a formal gathering in the castle’s Grand Hall.

The first to be called were the dragons.

Eight of them had descended from the Dragon Realm, summoned by Ryzoir and Orden during the height of the siege.

Their arrival had shifted the tide of battle. Their presence alone had deterred the Chaos Immortals from being too crazy with their attacks since they had no idea about the power of the dragons and how many of them were hiding...

Furthermore, Vale also heard about their various achievements, and because of that, he knew that he had to give them something, so they wouldn’t regret their decision to come here and risk their lives to protect his land.

"Hmm... Chad would be very thrilled to see this." Vale muttered.

Unfortunately, Chad was on a secret mission, so he couldn’t attend right now.

Still, the Dragons that stood before Vale were not in their true forms, but in their humanoid avatars.

They were tall, majestic, and seemed like true nobles...

At the center of the group was Veyrith, the Ancient Wind Dragon.

According to Orden, this old dragon was the representative or the leader of the group.

"We answered the call, Shadow Immortal. I hope that we can still obtain the land that was promised to us."
