Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy Chapter 1110: Sealed
"Stop this now! Don’t be cruel to her!" Nyssa shouted, her voice trembling as she stepped forward from the edge of the battlefield.
She was already weakened after Kaela used her Domain and suppressed almost every Chaos Immortal around.
Her Chaos Armor was cracked, and her aura flickered with instability. She had clearly suffered damage from the earlier clash, but her concern wasn’t for herself... it was for Mennena.
Vale didn’t even glance in her direction.
Adam, on the other hand, turned his head slightly, just enough to acknowledge her presence. Well, he was actually curious why this woman wanted to save Mennena, to the point of putting herself into harm
Then, Nyssa continued, and she even sounded desperate.
"She’s not an evil spirit... She’s our guide. She’s the one who kept us together when the Shattered Expanse collapsed. Without her, we would still be exiled. You must not hurt her!"
Vale’s expression remained cold. That was so unreasonable that he didn’t even want to reply.
However, Adam couldn’t just keep his silence after hearing this.
"You started the invasion and took down holy cities, kingdoms, even this Shadow Domain..." he replied. "You survived by feeding on others. That’s not a justification... That’s corruption."
Nyssa clenched her fists. "She didn’t choose this path! She was forced to--"
"She chose it," Adam interrupted...
"That should be enough, foolish Immortal... I’ve seen the mirror fragments she left behind. She made deals with Chaos Lords. She traded lives for power. Don’t insult us by pretending she’s innocent."
This time, Vale was quite confused as he didn’t even know about the existence of Chaos Lords and the deals Mennena made. Nonetheless, it was not the most important matter right now.
Nyssa staggered back, her lips parting as if to argue again, but the words didn’t come.
She looked around and Kent was already gone.
Several other Chaos Immortals had vanished into the sky, their trails marked by traces of Chaos energy. The battlefield was no longer theirs. Even the strongest among them had chosen retreat...
Whom~
Suddenly, Neylan appeared beside her.
"Enough," he said, gripping her arm. "We can’t win here. We’ve already lost too much."
"But Mennena--"
"She’s finished... Everyone’s injured to some degree... It will take us years to recover since this is just a lower realm. The Divinity here is almost non-existent." Neylan said with a low voice... "Kent said we’ll regroup in the north. The three kingdoms are still under our control. We have over a hundred Chaos Immortals left. We’ll survive there..."
Nyssa hesitated, as her gaze lingered on Mennena’s helpless form.
Then she turned away.
Neylan pulled her into his embrace, and within seconds, they were gone. Neylan was truly the best assassin of the Chaos Immortals.
Vale, however, didn’t react.
His focus remained on Mennena.
Her form was unstable now... Her spiritual body was being distorted and barely holding together. The Astral Chains had done their work. Her weakness was exposed, and she had no illusions she could use to escape...
Vale raised his hand, preparing to finish it.
But Adam stepped forward and blocked him.
"Wait..." he said. "If you destroy her now, she’ll just resurrect elsewhere. Her spirit is tied to multiple anchors across the realm. She’ll reform in one of the hidden Fey Wells."
Once again, it was a term he had no idea about. Still, Adam was the expert in this matter. It also made sense why Mennena couldn’t die at all, even if he already thought that they had eliminated her before.
Vale thought for a moment before he nodded. "Then what do you suggest?"
"We seal her..." Adam replied. "Not just her Spiritual Form, but her essence. I’ve prepared a containment spell for this. It’s designed to trap Arch Fey spirits and prevent dimensional reformation."
Well, since that seemed to be the best thing to do, he might as well agree to this matter.
"Do it." He replied.
Adam then raised both hands, and the Sacred Knights formed a circle around him. Their blades were planted into the ground, forming a divine array.
Soon, golden runes manifested into the air, creating what seemed like a golden altar...
Vale then looked around and used his Moonlight Specter, ensuring no external interference.
As the spell or the formation circle activated, Mennena screamed again. This time, her voice echoed across the battlefield. She was not in pain... Instead, she was trying to use her power in defiance.
"You think this will hold me forever? I am the last of the Fey Lords!"
Adam didn’t respond.
He simply completed the final seal.
Vale, on the other hand, was happy to hear that she was the last of her kind. Fey Spirits were simply too difficult to deal with. They also seemed to ambitious, considering how Mennena actually wanted to replace the Will of the Realm. It was unthinkable...
Vale didn’t even think that it was possible to replace the Will of the Realm.
"Now... Get her sealed.. But I want to learn more about her kind. If another Arch Fey came for us, I need to be knowledgeable enough to deal with that matter." Vale muttered, and Adam nodded after hearing this.
Soon, golden threads wrapped around Mennena’s form, it then slowly compressed her into a crystalline core.
Her ’body’ dissolved, and her essence was locked within the containment sphere.
Soon, the light dimmed, and the battlefield finally fell silent.
Vale stepped forward and examined the sealed core...
"She became like this?" Vale mused as he realized that he could actually extract the thing. However, he decided to let Adam take it for now.
"Yes... Shadow Immortal... She won’t escape. Not unless someone breaks the seal from the inside."
Adam then stored the core in his spatial ring.
"She won’t be your problem anymore..." He added...
Soon, exhaustion started creeping into his posture. He had spent too much Divinity from that ritual.
"My lord?!" Several Sacred Knights came to his side and assisted him.
Vale chuckled after seeing Adam’s satisfied smile, even after being drained of Divinity...
"Well, she was never just my problem," he muttered. "She was everyone’s."
Vale muttered as he looked at the surroundings filled by the remnants of battle.
The Chaos Immortals had fled, and the Shadow Domain had resisted the invasion...
And Mennena, after years of pursuit, was finally sealed.
