Apocalypse: King of Zombies Chapter 1636: This Mission Isn’t So Hard

Amberridge State...
More than a dozen figures flew northeast at incredible speed, excitement written across their faces.
If they secured that crystal core, their Patriarch would undoubtedly reach peak Tier 47. Then he could overpower the other races and make them the undisputed rulers of their world.
Just as they were imagining that glorious future—
Shnk.
The quiet sound brought the entire group to an abrupt halt.
They turned back in horror.
The clansman at the rear had been impaled through the head by a spear. His eyes were still wide open. He had died without ever knowing what hit him.
Shnk.
The spear was pulled free, revealing a figure who immediately fled into the distance.
"You're dead!"
The aliens flew into a rage and raced after him, their faces twisted with fury.
They rapidly closed the gap, but just as they were about to catch him, the figure suddenly vanished.
"Where did he go?" The group stopped and looked around.
"Probably some kind of invisibility skill," the Patriarch said darkly.
"It doesn't matter. Our elder's blood splashed onto him. Follow the scent! Anyone who dares kill a Terrathi elder will beg us for death before we're done with him!"
"Yes!"
The Terrathi followed the lingering scent of blood and continued their pursuit.
Elsewhere, another group of more than a dozen figures was also flying northeast, only a few dozen miles from the Terrathi.
They were just as excited, already discussing how they would deal with the peak Tier 47 Outland Beast.
Then—
Shnk.
A spear punched through the head of one of their Tier 42 members.
The sudden attack caught everyone off guard.
Shnk.
The spear was pulled free, and the attacker disappeared in a blur.
"You're dead!"
The aliens erupted in fury, unleashing a barrage of attacks at the spot where the figure had vanished.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Every attack missed. It was as if there had never been anyone there.
"After him! He can't have gone far!" the leader shouted furiously.
At that moment, a group of figures came flying toward them at high speed.
"I knew a Stage SSS insect wouldn't dare kill one of our elders without backup!" The Terrathi Patriarch's face darkened when he saw the fighters ahead.
The other group was just as enraged when they spotted the Terrathi.
"You dare kill an Aquathi elder? You're dead!"
Neither side needed another word. Their fury exploded, and they attacked each other on the spot.
Countless attacks tore across the sky.
Hidden nearby in Null Form, Chris smiled at the sight.
"This mission isn't so hard after all."
He quietly withdrew and flew off in search of another group from the Void Realm.
Elsewhere...
A group of figures was hurrying toward New Atlas when someone appeared directly in their path, standing there calmly.
"Turn back or die."
The figure's icy voice rang out as the aura of a peak Tier 47 erupted from him.
The approaching fighters' expressions darkened under the pressure, but none of them retreated.
"What is the meaning of this?" their leader demanded.
"I won't say it a third time. Go back... or die," Theron repeated, his voice just as cold.
"You may be powerful, but if you think you can stop all eight of us by yourself, you've severely overestimated yourself!"
"Then die."
Theron wasted no more words. A massive sword of light appeared in his hand, and he brought it down on the alien fighters.
An enormous blade of light shot toward them.
"Attack together! Kill him!" their leader ordered.
All eight fighters struck at once, stopping the incoming blade.
They immediately surrounded Theron and bombarded him with powerful attacks.
A mocking look crossed Theron's face. He swept his sword of light through the air and engaged all eight of them at once.
Elsewhere...
"Why do you keep following me?" Abyron asked Dahlia helplessly.
"Miles told me to stay with you!" Dahlia replied cheerfully.
"How can you still be smiling? Do you even know what we're about to do?"
"Of course. We're going to kill people. Don't worry—I won't let you down."
"This isn't about whether you'll let me down. We could be facing several times our own strength. Do you understand?"
"I do. But as long as I'm with you, I wouldn't mind dying." Dahlia continued to smile.
"You're hopelessly lovestruck," Abyron groaned.
"Of course I am. I'm Florari. We fall hard."
"..."
"Enough. They're here." Abyron's expression turned serious.
Dahlia fell silent and looked in the same direction.
The moment she saw the approaching group, she covered her mouth.
"Your Deputy Commander didn't seriously send the two of us here to die, did he?"
"What? Scared now?"
"Of course not! So what if they have more people? What's... what's there to be scared of?" Dahlia puffed out her chest, though her voice lacked conviction.
"They may outnumber us, but only one of them is Tier 47," Abyron said quietly. "Keep that one occupied. I'll kill the rest."
Miles had chosen each interception target carefully.
Chris's mission was to provoke nearby races into fighting one another. His ability to disappear made him the best person for the job.
Theron, Abyron, and the others couldn't use the same approach. If they tried, the two groups might realize what was happening and join forces against them instead.
Their job was to destroy the approaching forces one group at a time.
As their targets drew near, Abyron signaled to Dahlia.
"Now!"
An energy spear appeared in his hand. He took a single step and instantly appeared beside the approaching Void Realm fighters, driving his spear through the head of a Tier 44 fighter.
The sudden attack stunned the entire group.
When they saw their clansman die, fury swept through them. However, the attacker's Tier 47 strength kept them from striking immediately.
"Who are you, and why did you kill one of my Vesari?" their leader demanded.
Abyron didn't answer. He thrust his spear at another fighter, this one at Tier 46.
"You're asking for death!"
"Attack! Kill him!" the Vesari Patriarch roared.
He led the Vesari fighters in an immediate assault on Abyron.
Dahlia arrived at that moment, sending a mass of beautiful flowers crashing down on the group.
"Another Tier 47?!" The Vesari Patriarch's expression changed drastically.
Dahlia gave him no time to recover from his surprise. She went straight for him.
The Vesari Patriarch had no choice but to focus entirely on her attack.
"I'll hold this one off! The rest of you, kill that man!"
"Understood!"
The other Vesari fighters charged Abyron.
