Ethan and Abyron's forces gained the upper hand against the Stage SSS fighters. Just as victory seemed within reach, twelve powerful Void Realm creatures known as Voltari arrived, shifting the balance of power. The Voltari leader expressed interest in the Outland Beasts, while their commander violently punished one of their own for flirting, before turning their attention to the remaining native Stage SSS fighters and Ethan's group.

"I..."

The teal-haired man flushed with anger.

The Verdants stood at the very top of Thalorin’s hierarchy. He had never imagined they would be humiliated like this after coming here.

But he couldn’t argue. Even if Thalorin’s three great species joined forces, they still wouldn’t be strong enough to defeat the Voltari.

"If you have no need of our help, then we’ll take our leave," he said quietly.

"Wait. Who said you could go?" the Voltari leader asked.

The teal-haired man’s heart sank. He turned toward him stiffly. "Is there something else you require, my lord?"

"You’re not completely useless. From now on, you can serve the Voltari as slaves."

"Never!" The teal-haired man’s face darkened. "The Verdants will never submit to anyone!"

"Then you can die."

The Voltari leader appeared beside him in an instant, unleashing a barrage of powerful purple lightning.

Both husband and wife attacked the moment someone defied them. It wasn’t hard to imagine how domineering the Voltari usually were.

"You—"

The teal-haired man’s face changed drastically. Countless vines erupted around him, wrapping him in layer after layer of protection.

The purple lightning tore straight through them.

The vines exploded.

The teal-haired man spat out a mouthful of blood and was thrown more than a thousand feet backward.

At the same time, the other Voltari fighters attacked the marked woman and the short man.

Ethan hadn’t expected the newcomers to start fighting among themselves before anyone else could make a move. It was a welcome surprise.

The Beast Sovereign, however, didn’t look relieved. If anything, its expression grew even graver.

"Ethan, these aliens hit even harder than the Thundari we encountered before. Those two are both at the peak of Tier 47. I can handle one, but if I have to fight both of them... I probably won’t last."

Ethan’s heart sank even further.

"Beast Sovereign, let’s attack now. Those three can still hold some of them down. We might be able to kill a few while we have the chance."

"All right!"

The Beast Sovereign didn’t hesitate. It lunged at one of the Tier 47 Voltari fighters.

"I’ve been watching you," the Voltari woman said with a cold laugh as she intercepted it.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Lightning and darkness collided, releasing terrifying waves of pressure.

The two peak Tier 47 fighters immediately clashed.

Even so, it was clear that the Beast Sovereign held a slight advantage. Unfortunately, that advantage wasn’t enough to defeat her anytime soon.

"You attack too!" Ethan ordered Abyron and the others.

"Got it!"

Abyron and the three Tier 47 Outland Beasts charged the other Voltari fighters, who were in the middle of surrounding the marked woman and the short man.

Their intervention gave the two Thalorin Patriarchs some breathing room, but neither felt the slightest gratitude.

They were only in this situation because of Ethan’s side in the first place. The humans were helping now because they wanted to use them to tie down more of the Voltari.

The Voltari leader saw what was happening and gave a cold snort before intensifying his attack on the teal-haired man.

The Verdant Patriarch was already being driven back. Only his powerful regenerative abilities allowed him to hold on, and even then, he was suffering badly. The Voltari leader’s attacks were simply too strong.

After several minutes, he finally reached his limit.

"I’m willing to submit!" he shouted.

"Too late."

The Voltari leader brought down an even more terrifying bolt of lightning.

Boom!

Already mortally wounded, the teal-haired man was killed instantly.

The marked woman and the short man dropped to their knees in terror.

"We submit! We’re willing to submit!"

A faint smile appeared on the Voltari leader’s lips. Killing one to make an example of him had worked rather well.

Then his wife called out from her battle with the Beast Sovereign.

"Keep the short one. Kill that slut."

The Voltari leader fell silent.

He didn’t dare go against her, though. After one last regretful glance at the marked woman, he waved for his subordinates to kill her.

He then charged straight at Abyron. He had seen Abyron nearly kill one of his subordinates moments earlier.

Abyron’s heart sank as the peak Tier 47 fighter came for him, but he didn’t retreat. Ready to face death, he activated Damage Dampening and thrust his energy spear at the Voltari leader.

Even against an opponent at the peak of Tier 47, he charged without hesitation.

Bang!

His spear collided with the Voltari leader’s Thunder Lance.

Terrifying lightning surged into Abyron’s body, but Damage Dampening absorbed most of it. He wasn’t seriously injured, though the impact still sent him flying more than a thousand feet.

The Voltari leader gave him no chance to recover and attacked again.

Abyron was forced back over and over, but he was considerably stronger than the teal-haired man. Though he had no choice but to keep retreating, he could at least hold out for a while.

Ethan watched anxiously, then teleported to the Fallen Star Squad.

"Big Mike, activate Fate Roulette!"

"Okay."

Big Mike immediately spun the Fate Roulette in his mind.

He could spin it once a day, but he rarely dared to use it without a good reason. There was no telling what kind of bizarre buff it might give him.

But in a situation like this, he had to spin it even if it left him unable to get his dick hard again.

The roulette came to a stop.

Big Mike’s face darkened.

Their luck couldn’t hold forever.

This time, the result was a dud.

The others understood as soon as they saw his expression.

"What did we get?" Ethan asked anyway, unwilling to give up hope.

"Double recovery speed," Big Mike said helplessly.

It wasn’t a bad buff under normal circumstances, but it was clearly useless in their current situation.

Ethan sighed.

Luck really couldn’t be trusted when it mattered most.

"Sigh..."

A sigh suddenly echoed across the battlefield.

A figure appeared out of nowhere.

"You handle the others," a voice said beside Abyron. "Leave him to me."

Abyron turned in confusion and found a man who looked almost exactly like a human.

"You..."

Before he could ask anything, Ethan called out to him.

"Leave it to him!"

"All right."

Abyron had no idea who the man was, but he trusted Ethan. He immediately withdrew and charged toward the other Void Realm fighters.

The Voltari leader made no attempt to stop him. His attention was fixed entirely on the newcomer.

Because the man was also at the peak of Tier 47.
