Ethan strategized his next move amidst a battlefield of powerful fighters. He considered collecting more potent Stage SSS crystal cores but worried about drawing the attention of all Stage SSS fighters. Deciding against it, he chose to target the intelligent races instead, hoping to gain favor with the Outland Beasts. Ascending into the sky, Ethan encountered two Stage SSS combatants and tricked one of the intelligent fighters into a fatal attack, killing him instantly.

"Who are you?" The Stage SSS Outland Beast stared warily at Ethan.

It could sense that he had only just reached Stage SSS, the same Stage as itself.

And yet he had killed another Stage SSS fighter in a single blow.

One blow!

Right in front of it, this green-skinned outsider had pulled out a poleaxe and smashed the man’s head apart.

That had been a Stage SSS fighter, yet he hadn’t even survived one hit.

Had this guy really only just reached Stage SSS?

"Relax. I’m here to help you." Ethan put on what he considered a friendly smile.

The Outland Beast only grew more suspicious.

"You’re one of the intelligent races. Why would you help us?"

"Because, like you, I have a grudge against the pinnacle races." Ethan smiled.

Doubt crept into the beast’s eyes. It clearly didn’t believe him.

"I just killed a Stage SSS fighter for you. What are you still suspicious about?" Ethan rolled his eyes. "If I wanted you dead, I would’ve killed you already.

"All you need to know is that we’re on the same side right now. I’m here to help you deal with the pinnacle races."

The Outland Beast nodded. Although some doubt remained in its eyes, it lowered its guard slightly.

"If you sincerely help us, the Beast Sovereign will reward you."

"Really?" Ethan immediately looked hopeful. "Then if I ask the Beast Sovereign for a small favor later, it shouldn’t refuse, right?"

"..."

The beast stared at him, momentarily speechless.

Give this guy an inch, and he’d take a mile.

"You can discuss that with the Beast Sovereign yourself. It always keeps its word. If it agrees to your request, it will help you."

"Good enough. I’ll go help at another battlefield!"

Ethan immediately flew toward another clash.

The Stage SSS Outland Beast watched him leave, confusion filling its eyes.

"He really does seem to be helping us...

"But why?

"Why would one of the intelligent races help us?"

Unable to make sense of it, the beast shook its head and transmitted what had happened to the Beast Sovereign.

Then it descended toward the battlefield below. It landed beside the dead Stage SSS fighter and swallowed the corpse whole before letting out a satisfied belch.

The body of a Stage SSS fighter was enormously beneficial to an Outland Beast, just as an Outland Beast’s crystal core was to the intelligent races.

The difference was that consuming a crystal core immediately granted energy, while an Outland Beast needed time to digest a corpse.

Meanwhile, a strange look entered the Beast Sovereign’s eyes as it battled the four Patriarchs.

At the same time, the Stage SSS fighters across the various battlefields sensed what had happened and turned in shock.

Another Stage SSS fighter had fallen!

The intelligent races had already lost four over the past few days. Now they had lost another, leaving the remaining fighters with grim expressions.

The death of any Stage SSS fighter was a massive loss. It could even shift the course of the entire war.

The intelligent races had now lost two more Stage SSS fighters than the Outland Beasts, putting them in an increasingly unfavorable position.

Still, they didn’t think too much of it. They assumed the fallen fighter had simply lost to his opponent. If they fought harder elsewhere and killed another Beast Lord, the balance would be restored.

After all, whenever they killed a Stage SSS Outland Beast, they could immediately use its crystal core to grow stronger. As long as they held out, victory would ultimately belong to them.

But not long after, another Stage SSS presence vanished.

Once again, it belonged to their side.

Now the pinnacle-race fighters could no longer sit still.

One death could be blamed on a bad matchup or a momentary mistake.

Two in rapid succession meant something was wrong.

The two sides were too evenly matched for Stage SSS fighters to fall this quickly.

"Let’s go see what happened!"

Several Stage SSS fighters broke away from their opponents and flew toward the area.

Naturally, the Outland Beasts they had been fighting weren’t about to let them leave. They immediately pursued.

At another battlefield...

An enormous black Dire Bear stared blankly at Ethan.

Moments ago, it had been locked in a fierce battle against a Stage SSS fighter and was already starting to lose.

Then this green bastard had appeared out of nowhere and smashed the enemy’s head apart with one swing of his poleaxe.

The Stage SSS fighter had died with confusion still written across his face.

The Dire Bear was equally confused.

"Who are you? Why did you help me?" it asked warily.

Ethan was preparing to explain himself again when the first Outland Beast flew over and whispered something into the Dire Bear’s ear.

The Dire Bear’s eyes widened. It gave Ethan a suspicious look and remained silent for a moment before cupping its massive paws toward him.

"Whatever your motives may be, you did help me. I’ll report the truth to the Beast Sovereign."

"Glad to hear it." Ethan smiled and prepared to head for the next battlefield.

Just then, more than a dozen figures flew in from every direction and surrounded the area.

A moment later, over a dozen Stage SSS Outland Beasts arrived as well, positioning themselves between Ethan and the newcomers.

"So you’re the one behind this!" The intelligent fighters immediately locked their gazes on Ethan.

"A human! Humanity really did send a Stage SSS fighter to the Eldoria Continent!"

The Stage SSS fighters erupted in fury.

"You were behind everything that happened!"

"What are you talking about?" Ethan asked with an innocent expression. "I don’t understand."

Meanwhile, the newly arrived Outland Beasts questioned the two Ethan had helped.

When they learned that Ethan had killed two Stage SSS enemies for them, their gazes became noticeably friendlier.

"Stop pretending!" one of the intelligent fighters snapped. "Since you dared show yourself, we’ll kill you first!"

The group prepared to attack.

The Outland Beasts immediately moved to block them.

Just as Ethan had expected, the two sides were enemies. If one side wanted something, the other would naturally try to stop them.

Besides, Ethan had helped the Outland Beasts. They couldn’t simply stand aside and let the pinnacle races kill him.

"Move!" an Emberborn elder demanded, his face dark. "This is between us and the humans. It has nothing to do with the beast races!"

"What do you mean, it has nothing to do with us?" A massive Titan Mammoth stepped forward. "This little brother is a friend of the beast races now. If you want to kill him, you’ll have to get through us first!"

"You’re really determined to oppose us?"

"Hahaha! Have you forgotten where we are?" the Titan Mammoth said. "This is a battlefield, and our fight isn’t over!"

It swung its enormous trunk straight at the Emberborn elder.

The other Outland Beasts attacked as well.

The pinnacle-race fighters were furious, but they had no choice except to grit their teeth and fight.
