Lin Xian realized the crisis paralleled an impending threat after Ding Junyi's insight and rushed to the monitoring hall. The team opened the energy release valve, unleashing geothermal energy that vaporized seawater, incinerated Abnormal Bodies, and revealed a Special Level creature's giant eye, while attracting massive hordes on radar. The release slightly stabilized the device, buying time until night, as monsters gathered ominously around the island.

"Dawn City doesn’t have that many Special Levels."

Ning Jing stepped out of the vehicle as well, proceeding toward the monitoring center: "Large Abnormal Bodies appearing one by one, every single one tough to handle, yet this ocean region resembles a concert packed to the brim everywhere."

"Concert..." Qian Deli gave a helpless chuckle, spinning around: "Where's our captain? Amid this brutal chaos, does he really not want to come check it out?"

"He foresaw this exact result." Kiki remarked as she eyed the monitoring display: "For now, we're ramping up the energy output to draw even more beasts into this sea zone. Sure, it won't ease the burden much, but hmm~ perhaps the Giant Ocean God will spot all those monsters clustering thickly and feel famished enough to strike..."

Kiki's statement sent shivers racing down the spines of all present in the monitoring hall; the idea of countless enormous Abnormal Bodies reduced to mere bites was utterly horrifying.

Ryan exhaled heavily right then, addressing Vanessa with a serious tone,

"Vanessa, inspect the evacuation at Neptune; ditch all non-essentials for the moment, ensure not one soul gets left behind, and nobody lingers."

Vanessa gave a nod: "Got it."

With that, she hurried out right away.

At the same time, Lin Xian strode swiftly down the hallway, going down the steps to the base's lower Deep Water Port level. The moment he stepped in, a rush of sea breeze hit him, while the vast Black Water in the Deep Water Port kept stirring with tiny ripples. The docked nuclear-powered submarine bobbed gently up and down.

Lin Xian realized an underwater quake was behind it; the sub's Deep Water Port linked straight to the island's underlying cliffs, hiding who knew how many abyssal beasts below. Yet right now, such worries didn't faze him; he jumped aboard the submarine and slipped inside via the watertight door.

Inside the submarine, space proved bigger than anticipated, being a massive nuclear-powered vessel that could house 450 crew, fully outfitted with potent strategic armaments. Still, Lin Xian had no interest in armaments; he went straight to the control center, hooked up to a terminal, and launched a search.

Kiki had already combed through the data here completely, leaving Lin Xian with zero discoveries. Undeterred, he fired up the Mechanical Heart to probe the nearby equipment.

Ding Junyi trailed after Lin Xian; spotting his focused hunt, she stayed mute and waited silently nearby.

Once Lin Xian's hunt yielded nothing, he faced Ding Junyi, his follower: "Director Ding, why are you coming along?"

"What exactly are you after?" Ding Junyi shot back.

Lin Xian drew in a deep breath, theorizing: "Earlier, I linked via someone's Spirit from the Foundation and glimpsed a submarine interior and deep ocean scene. Back then, I figured it was just the sub, but thinking back, those Holy City folks partnering with the Foundation arrived and departed here without issue. Likely because the Foundation holds some secure escape scheme."

"A secondary evacuation path?" Ding Junyi proposed.

Lin Xian affirmed with a nod: "Exactly."

"They'd never leave such details for you to find." Ding Junyi stated evenly.

"I expected as much." Lin Xian breathed out slowly: "Before, Ning Jing and Kiki checked this place, but we didn't grasp the dire straits then. Maybe they missed something; they must possess precise deep-sea charts. Without that, just using decoy torpedoes, they wouldn't b..."
