After finalizing a complex agreement that traded research benefits for potions and an end to outsiders being used as sacrifices, the mages departed the Eagle God Kingdom. Archmage Byerbo offered Garrett some parting advice regarding self-preservation and broadening his horizons. Meanwhile, the Eagle and Serpent Gods reflected on the unexpected arrival and departure of the mages, noting the treasures taken but also the tangible benefits provided. In the Storm Islands, Governor Francisco Bamonde grew increasingly anxious about the missing expedition fleet and the approaching rainy season, only to be interrupted by Captain Juan with alarming news of the fleet's disappearance and the appearance of a mysterious tower.
