Hiding survivor groups debated the dangers of the Phantom Team and the zombie-filled building, opting to wait until the area was cleared before heading to Red Cliff Base. The Phantom Team reached the building, where Mo Junjie unleashed his black mist ability to silently infiltrate and destroy the brains of over 20,000 zombies, melting their corpses into black water. Exhausted but on the verge of breakthrough, he absorbed more energy crystals as his team roasted mutant wolf meat nearby, protected by a spatial barrier. As a poison mist erupted and dissipated after his successful advancement, several members swiftly covered their companions' eyes.

The rest of the female team members burned with curiosity about the situation, yet they couldn't remove the hands clamped over their eyes. By now, everyone had awkwardly twisted their bodies away, too embarrassed for another peek.

At the same time, Du Beiye pulled a set of battle suits and men's underwear from her inventory, heading toward Mo Junjie. She eyed his physique for several seconds before setting the garments on his thigh.

She then blended in with the team, all of them fixated on the radiant sky like frozen statues.

A few minutes passed before Mo Junjie snapped back to reality. Detecting the weird tension, a cold shiver ran through him. Peering downward, he found himself bare without any astonishment.

With every breakthrough, the poison mist rebuilt his frame and dissolved all his attire, stripping him completely threadbare.

Reflecting on the earlier incident, he cast a look at Du Beiye's retreating figure, a grin tugging at his lips.

His frame stayed slim with well-defined muscles. He took great pride in his impressive build, particularly his intimate areas. So, even with her seeing everything, worry didn't cross his mind.

Once dressed, he strode to the campfire and announced, "The meat is burning."

The team members, hearing him, dashed over and yanked the meat from the flames. His unflappable demeanor gradually melted away the embarrassment.

As they devoured their food, Qin Luzi spoke up, "Captain, should we lure those people out and get some information about the Red Cliff Base?"

"Let’s finish our meal first," Jin Xuyan nodded.

"Okay."

Meal over, Jiao Lizhi tucked everything into her space, sparing just one full leg from a mutant wolf as tempting bait. With preparations set, Feng Yun swept his hand, dissolving the spatial barrier.

The instant the barrier vanished, Gao Bohai snapped his fingers, summoning a breeze to waft the roasted meat aroma far and wide. Simultaneously, Qin Luzi monitored his map closely, poised for the prey to take the hook.

As the Phantom Team cast their lure, the targeted "fish" grew increasingly restless.

While most survivors meticulously sealed every window and door crack to dodge mutant notice, the alluring roast meat smell still seeped in during their cautious peeks outside.

Right then, clusters of survivors concealed roughly 500 meters from the Phantom Team's spot gulped hungrily and clutched their rumbling stomachs.

For months, meager biscuits had barely kept starvation at bay. Thus, the tantalizing meat fragrance felt like pure agony.

In one warehouse, over 2,000 people crammed the 10th floor, harboring 79 mutants among them—the largest assembly by far.

Though their vast numbers boosted overall power, dire supply shortages plagued them most. Hence, despite their might, their existence remained the most miserable.

The mutants held elite status in the group, locked in heated discussion about the Phantom Team.

"Captain, I can’t sense the zombies’ presence anymore," a young woman in her early twenties exclaimed in shock.

A man responded, "Jane, what do you mean by that? That building is crowded with so many zombies. It’s impossible for them to eliminate all of the zombies in such a short time."

Jane shook her head. "Two and a half hours ago, I felt some kind of barrier blocking the area near the building."

"I couldn’t sense anything in that area with the barrier. Not long ago, the barrier disappeared suddenly, but I still can’t sense the zombies’ presence."

"Maybe those people really eliminated the zombies during that period?" suggested another woman.

Her words drew disdainful stares from the others. Silence gripped the room until their leader broke it.

"Jane, Adam, Liam, David, Lucas, you will follow me. The rest stay here and keep an eye on everyone," Bryan Roosevelt commanded.

"Understood."

Those summoned boasted rich combat history and level 3 strength at minimum.

Uncertain if the strangers meant friend or foe, the Captain's choice to bring his core fighters made perfect sense.

As they inspected weapons and ammo, Kelly approached Bryan. "Captain, can I follow you this time?"

Bryan glanced at her. "You are usually very timid. What makes you so courageous this time?"

After a brief hesitation, she confessed, "Those people might be from my Huaxia."

Bryan's hand froze momentarily before resuming normally, without looking her way. "Are you thinking of leaving with them if they are from Huaxia?"

Kelly hid nothing from her Captain and nodded. "Captain, I’m grateful to you and our team members. But if I have the chance, I want to return to my motherland and find my parents."

Bryan fell quiet. The atmosphere thickened oppressively. Just as Kelly assumed refusal, he said, "Pack up. We will leave in five minutes."

Kelly's eyes instantly brightened, a radiant smile spreading. "Thank you, Captain!"

Gazing at her graceful silhouette, Bryan's gaze turned stormy, turbulent feelings churning within. He shut his eyes, drawing a steadying breath to rein them in.

Five minutes later, the squad piled into a vehicle and sped toward the building that had held the zombies captive.
