Wei Yunli reveals to Ye Wuze that the base commander and others are infected with dangerous parasites, tasking him with managing base security. As a lockdown is enforced to protect the truth and contain the crisis, the residents' initial panic is quickly stifled by the guards. Meanwhile, the Phantom Team waits in high tension for news regarding their efforts to save the sick.

At this moment, the members of the Phantom Team were gathered on the second floor, taking a break for lunch. As they ate, they noticed the return of Mo Junjie and Du Beiye.

Surprised by their calm demeanors, the team members couldn’t help but be curious. "Sister Du, you’re back at last," Su Ruanyi greeted her with a wave.

Du Beiye gave a brief nod and settled into a seat by her side. The rest of the group was dining on self-heating vegetable hotpot. Having spent the entire morning gathering samples and data, she was incredibly hungry.

Thinking of the meal Jiang Ziyi had prepared for her, she reached into her inventory bag and produced a bowl of curry rice. It was still steaming, clearly crafted with care specifically for her.

The familiar aroma of meat drifted up, causing her mouth to water. After taking a quick drink to soothe her parched throat, Du Beiye dug into her meal with immense satisfaction.

The other members watched her devour the curry, their expressions shifting to one of sheer astonishment and budding admiration.

They had chosen vegetable hotpot for lunch simply because the gruesome sights in the quarantine zone had destroyed their appetites for any kind of meat.

These soldiers had considered themselves hardened enough to handle gore and tragedy, yet they had never imagined that this young woman would prove even more resilient than they were.

Despite hours spent observing those grotesque creatures, she was consuming her curry rice with total composure, seeming to relish every bite.

As the others stared, Mo Junjie sat down next to Du Beiye and remarked, "Beiye, I’m famished. Could you pass me a bowl too?"

Du Beiye, seeing nothing strange about eating curry at a time like this, handed him a portion.

As an SSS-rank fighter, her mental fortitude was vast. It had only taken her a heartbeat to regain her focus after witnessing the creation of the Matkuna soldiers. With her system stabilizing her internal state, she found the horrors of the day completely bearable.

To her, this was merely a fact of life. Yet, to those around her, she and Mo Junjie appeared essentially psychopathic, showing a total lack of emotional reaction.

Noticing the strange silence, Du Beiye looked up and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Xiao Qi quickly waved a hand. "Not at all." After a brief hesitation, he ventured, "Beiye, does what we saw in the quarantine room not bother you at all?"

Du Beiye swallowed her mouthful before responding, "It was unsettling at first, but I became accustomed to it quickly enough."

"How is it possible to adapt to something like that so fast?" Jian Huan questioned, bewildered.

"I’ve undergone specialized training for this."

Hearing her offhand comment, the team realized just how little they knew of her life, other than that she had served in the military.

Curiosity overcoming him, Xiao Qi asked, "Beiye, you mentioned you were a soldier previously. Which country did you serve?"

Du Beiye mulled over the question for a moment, shot a glance toward Feng Yun, and offered a faint smile. "The Tarakam Civilization."

The members assumed she was making a joke to deflect their questions, so they let the matter drop. Only Feng Yun gazed at her with deep, thoughtful eyes.

Ever since he had learned about the presence of alien forces, he had harbored a secret suspicion that Du Beiye might be from another world entirely.

Yet, no matter how closely he observed her, he could find no physical differences between her and a standard human. She even spoke their language perfectly.

As a user of space-type powers, he had learned to open rifts in the void. Having experienced the reality of teleportation himself, a new theory began to take root in his mind.

Once the conversation regarding her background died down, he suddenly blurted out, "Sister Du, are you from the future?"

The room descended into a heavy, prolonged silence. The teammates looked at him as if he had lost his mind, while Mo Junjie and Jin Xuyan narrowed their eyes in warning.

Du Beiye just offered a small smile and replied with a single word: "Guess."

Though the answer was vague, it was enough to confirm Feng Yun’s hypothesis. If he had been incorrect, she would have either laughed it off or ignored him entirely. By telling him to guess, she had essentially verified his theory.

Lowering his head, Feng Yun retraced the events—the conversations between Du Beiye and Jiao Lizhi, and their strange actions. With the lens of time travel applied, everything finally clicked into place.

The sudden appearance of her mobile suit, boasting technology far beyond their era, the mysterious barrier that halted the alien assault at the Lunar Base, and the inexplicable timing of Jiao Lizhi’s fainting spells.

He withdrew a black crystal from his storage and studied it intensely.

The first time Jiao Lizhi had collapsed into a coma was precisely when they had discovered this black crystal, which she then gathered into her space.

The second episode occurred during the battle at the Lunar Base, right when that unknown barrier materialized. The last incident was at the Sanchou Base, a story he had pieced together from their Captain.

He hadn't been in the thick of that final fight, but the rumors among the mutants stated that the Matkuna soldiers had fled almost immediately after she vanished.

Their survival seemed intrinsically linked to Jiao Lizhi. Perhaps her 'space' wasn't just a simple storage ability like his own. Could her space actually function like Du Beiye’s mobile suit?

If they arrived from a future civilization, it was highly probable that they possessed the technology to house an advanced AI.

Perhaps those so-called mobile suits and spaces were actually systems, not unlike those found in popular fantasy stories. And could this very black crystal be the catalyst for the alien invasion of their planet?

As he reached this realization, all his confusion dissolved. He lifted his head, his eyes burning with newfound fervor as he looked at Du Beiye.

With allies from the future at their side, they might actually have a chance to end this plague and restore peace to the world. There was finally hope for the future!
