Yandere Levelling in Her World Chapter 205 - 206: Everyone will come for you
Previously on Yandere Levelling in Her World...
Huddled within the derelict structure, Meiling's labored breaths echoed in the oppressive atmosphere, a grim mixture of rot and briny sea air clinging to her.
Her back pressed against the unyielding, cold stone as she strained to see through a fractured opening in the boarded-up window. Outside, grotesque figures ambled through the twilight, their movements spectral and unnatural.
These were her kin, those who had shared her flight from the initial pandemonium. Yet, they were now horrifyingly transformed, their gazes vacant and ruddy, their actions erratic and clearly under some external dominion.
Affixed atop their heads were grotesque, scarlet, crab-like entities, their sharp pincers burrowing into flesh and bone. These parasites throbbed with a dim, crimson luminescence, manipulating their hosts as if they were mere marionettes.
The shambling abominations advanced sluggishly, their limbs outstretched, striking at any sign of vitality.
Meiling's heart hammered against her ribs. "How did this tragedy unfold?" she breathed, her voice a mere wisp. "They were kin, comrades. Now... just fiends."
She observed her own hands, where faint, golden threads of Qi began to coalesce, emitting a soft shimmer in the gloom. But as she attempted to channel them, an overwhelming fatigue descended upon her. "My strength fails me now," she mumbled, watching the ephemeral threads dissipate, cascading lifelessly onto the dust-laden floor like withered tendrils.
Her frame throbbed with exhaustion from ceaseless flight and combat, her reserves of Imperial Qi utterly depleted. The burden of her unconscious mother, Lan Xinyue, carried upon her back, had amplified this debilitation.
A sudden, violent crash resounded through the dilapidated edifice as a desiccated form breached the compromised entryway, its decaying digits grasping wildly at the vacant air. Meiling froze, her hands clenching involuntarily.
She steeled herself for a desperate struggle, ready to fight with the dregs of her vigor. However, the reanimated corpse halted, its head tilting in a disturbingly unnatural arc as the crab-like appendage atop its skull clicked its mandibles. It seemed to assess the air, then shuffled past Meiling's concealed position, ambling back into the encroaching night without recognition.
Meiling's eyes widened in bewilderment. "It did not perceive me? Why?" She remained immobile for a protracted period, her mind racing. Then, the realization struck her with the force of a lightning bolt: "As long as I am devoid of power, they will not even register my presence." The understanding sent an icy tremor through her.
These monstrosities were not driven by random hunger; they were attracted to power, to Qi. "This speaks to the direness of our predicament," she stated, her voice wavering. "They must be converging on the location of the most potent energy signature. And currently, that can only be Norbata City, where Ren resides."
A wave of dread washed over her. He was at the city's core, mustering the remaining forces. If these corrupted beings descended upon that location, annihilation would be inevitable. "I must alert him. I must reach him before they do!" Meiling urged herself, her voice strained.
Pushing away from the wall, she adjusted the weight of her mother's lifeless form upon her shoulder. Lan Xinyue's breaths were shallow, her countenance pallid within the coma that had claimed her since the skirmish at their stronghold.
Meiling ventured forth with caution, her injured leg protesting with each step. Agonizing pain shot through her with every movement, yet sheer terror propelled her onward. "Just a bit further," she implored herself. "You possess the strength, Meiling. For Mother, for our clan, for Ren." Yet, after only a few faltering paces, her knees betrayed her.
She pitched forward onto the ground with a choked cry, the burden of her mother dragging her down. Grit and sharp stones scraped against her palms as she broke her fall.
As she lay there, gasping for air, an unfamiliar warmth began to stir within her core. Her Imperial Qi was commencing a slow recovery, trickling back into her system like a sputtering leak. It was beyond her command, an involuntary biological reaction to her forced respite. "No, not now," she groaned. "Cease! I cannot afford this!" But the flow of energy persisted, a faint aura radiating around her like a fragile beacon in the encompassing darkness.
The afflicted noticed instantaneously. Their heads jerked towards her in eerie synchronicity, the parasitic creatures atop their skulls flaring with increased intensity. A low, resonant moan emanated from the amassed horde as they pivoted, their listless gait accelerating into a determined advance.
Shadows stretched and contorted under the moonlight, rendering their warped physiques even more monstrous. One of the abominations, a former Elder distinguished by his blood-matted grey hair, dragged its feet nearer, its maw agape in a silent, horrifying shriek.
Meiling's blood turned to ice. "Remain back!" she commanded, struggling to her feet. But they continued their inexorable approach, encircling her from all directions. The atmosphere became thick with the unsettling percussion of the crab-like pincers and the grating sound of decaying footwear on the earth. "This is the end," she thought, her voice cracking into a near-inaudible whisper. "I cannot confront them all. Mother, forgive my failure."
The nearest zombie lunged, its claws mere inches from her throat. Meiling instinctively raised her arms to shield herself, but abruptly, her eyes began to sting, tears welling up uncontrollably and blurring her vision.
She scanned her surroundings desperately, an overwhelming sense of loneliness washing over her like a phantom tide. It was more than just fear; it was a hollow ache within, as if a vital piece of her spirit had been violently torn away. "What in the world is happening?" she questioned internally, her voice thick with bewilderment. "Why do I feel so... isolated? Like something crucial is absent that I was never even aware of."
The advancing zombies faltered for a fleeting moment, seemingly detecting her distress, before resuming their relentless advance. Their terrifying visages loomed closer, the accompanying crabs hissing with ravenous intent.
Meiling’s gaze flickered towards her mother, whom she had been cradling throughout their ordeal. Lan Xinyue remained slumped against her, still trapped in a deep, unresponsive slumber. Yet, now, tears were silently tracing paths down her mother's cheeks.
"Mother?" Meiling breathed, her heart contracting with anguish. "You're... you're crying as well?" Before she could fully comprehend the situation, Xinyue's body started to grow unnaturally cold. A chilling sensation began at her extremities, spreading like a creeping frost over her skin. Meiling felt the frigidness penetrate her clothing, numbing her arms. "No, Mother! What is this? Wake up! Please, say something!"
The cold intensified, Xinyue's skin taking on a pale, bluish hue. The ambient temperature plummeted, Meiling's exhalations becoming visible plumes of white mist. "It's too cold," Meiling stuttered, her voice trembling. "I can't... I cannot hold on." Then, the pervasive chill erupted outwards.
A powerful wave of icy energy radiated from Xinyue's form, instantly freezing the ground in an ever-expanding circumference. Cracks of frost spiderwebbed across the desolate earth, ascending the zombies' limbs like tendrils of frozen death.
The monstrous figures halted, their bodies rapidly encased in dense layers of ice. One zombie's outstretched arm fractured mid-motion, disintegrating into a heap of frozen fragments. Another attempted a guttural moan, but its jaw froze solid. The grotesque crab creatures shrieked in thwarted rage, their snapping claws immobilized by the sudden freeze.
The entire vicinity was transformed into a frigid tableau, the undead frozen in place like statues within a glacial tomb. Meiling gazed in stunned amazement, the tears on her face crystallizing into delicate ice formations. "Mother... you caused this? How is this possible?"
In the vast distance, where the former Lan base had stood, the colossal crimson behemoth began to stir. It had been wreaking havoc among the ruins, its immense frame writhing with palpable exhaustion.
But now, it lifted its gargantuan head, sensing the potent surge of power as a predator detects its prey. Its singular, massive eye narrowed infinitesimally, and a deep, resonant growl rumbled from its throat. The sound reverberated across the expanse, laden with a dark, almost gleeful satisfaction. "At last," it seemed to convey without uttering a sound. "I have discovered what I sought."

Meanwhile, Mei was kneeling directly before Ren, her hands aggressively fumbling with his belt buckle. She tugged insistently at his trousers, driven by an overwhelming urge to pull them down and press her lips against his member.
Ren looked down at her with evident displeasure, attempting to shift away from her insistent grasp. "Is this all you wished to communicate?" he inquired, his tone sharp with irritation as he pushed against her shoulders.
Mei disregarded his resistance, her eyes blazing with raw desire. "Just a taste, my love," she implored, her voice a husky whisper, filled with desperation. "I cannot endure this any longer. A single touch of my lips." Her thighs trembled violently, and fresh lubrication slicked the floor beneath her, forming a glistening pool.
Ren's dwindling patience finally broke. He shoved her backward with a decisive kick, not malicious, but sufficient to send her tumbling to the ground.
Mei clutched her forehead where his foot had brushed against her, tears welling anew as she stared up at him. "You perished, Ren," she murmured, her voice cracking with emotion. "You died. Your former cycle... you are now officially among the hunted."
Ren's brow furrowed, and he took a hesitant step back. "What exactly do you mean by that?"
Mei swiped at her tears, her expression morphing into something far more sinister, intensely obsessive. "Every woman intended to be yours... they will undoubtedly discover you now. They can sense your presence. They will not cease their pursuit until you are the sole focus of their existence."
Ren looked down at her, his mind processing her pronouncements. "Does that not encompass you as well?"
Mei emitted a sharp, almost unhinged laugh as she returned to her hands and knees. "Indeed, it primarily includes me." She began to crawl towards him once more, her tongue flicking out to caress his legs, starting from his calves and working its way upward.
Ren, who had been struggling vehemently moments before, now stood utterly still, lost in deep contemplation. His trousers had slipped to the floor as her hands freed them. He offered no further resistance this time, his thoughts spiraling.
"So, what am I expected to do?" he asked, his voice noticeably softer. "Just accept it?"
Mei was dangerously close to his penis, her heated breath caressing it as she gazed upwards with a gaze of ownership. "I don't know, baby," she whispered. "From this moment forward, I will eliminate any other woman who dares to approach you. My restraint has reached its limit; I can no longer hold back the overwhelming desire. Therefore, you should brace yourself for what is imminent."
Ren's attention swiftly shifted to his system interface, which he brought into his mind's view. His eyes widened significantly as he detected an anomaly within it; the relationships section had remarkably expanded with numerous entries. Over twenty females were now listed, the majority of them obscured by question marks.
