Wizard: Unlimited Profession Slots Chapter 1367: Letting Him Win? (Part 2)

After a disorienting journey, they finally arrived at Carlos’s “Inverted Potion Workshop.”
The entire workshop was built inside an inverted clock tower, with countless precise gears turning slowly, emitting a rhythmic “tick-tock” sound.
The potion experiment table spiraled from the “ceiling” to the “floor,” with each level having a different direction of gravity.
On some tables, jars and pots floated in mid-air;
On other tables, liquids flowed “upwards,” forming inverted waterfalls.
The most bewildering aspect was the potions themselves.
They completely defied the basic principles of Magic Potion Making.
Here, the potions transformed into solid, gem-like multifaceted crystals.
These crystals floated in specially designed containers.
The labels on the potion bottles were even more intriguing.
There were no ingredients or proportions, only poetic descriptions of the final effect:
“A Bottle of Eternal Tranquility”
“Three Grams of Shattered Despair”
“Half a Cup of Yesterday’s Twilight”
“A Drop of Unshed Tear”
…
Aselia looked at these labels, her face scrunched like a bitter melon:
“These resemble abstract art titles more than potion formulas.”
Nari expressed her displeasure more straightforwardly:
“This place feels uncomfortable to me; everything is reversed, even the air is cold.”
Just as the three tried to comprehend the operating logic of this upside-down world, a courteous voice came from deep within the experiment table:
“Welcome, esteemed guests, to my little workshop.”
The owner of the voice slowly emerged from the shadows.
The figure was extremely strange, sometimes appearing as a gentleman wearing a monocle and dressed in a butler outfit;
And at other times transforming into a canine with six eerie blue eyes walking upright.
“I am the owner of this workshop, Carlos.”
“To host such… interesting guests in my small domain is truly my honor.”
Just as Carlos transformed into a werewolf form, his six eyes simultaneously turned to Ron:
“You must already understand the rules here. As the challenger of the final stage, you need to prove you have mastered ‘true wisdom.'”
“The conditions for passing are simple—using the materials in my workshop, concoct a potion named [Truth Key].”
Saying this, Carlos gestured.
The entire wall suddenly flipped, revealing a back filled with dense contents.
Hundreds of potion formulas written in reverse were hanging there, each sparkling in dim light.
“All these formulas have [Truth Key] as their ultimate product.”
Carlos’s tone carried an air of amusement:
“But as you can see, their statements may be… somewhat peculiar.”
Ron approached closely to observe, discovering these formulas were indeed bizarre and even self-contradictory:
“Mix ‘Flowing Sorrow’ with ‘Solidified Joy’ in equal proportions”
“Requires the sunlight of ‘Yesterday’s Sun’ as a catalyst”
“Add three drops of ‘Never Existed Rainwater'”
“Use ‘Circular Equation’ for final modulation”
“Stir seven times in ‘Silent Thunder'”
…
Each formula seemed more like a poet’s whimsy than a serious alchemy instruction.
Even more headache-inducing was the complex dependency between these hundreds of formulas.
Some materials needed instructions from other formulas, while those formulas required other products as ingredients.
This formed a vast information maze.
Carlos stood aside, watching Ron’s reaction with great interest:
“Please, do not rush; you have ample time to think. Of course, I suggest you consider every detail carefully.”
Confronted with this enormous information maze, Ron’s initial strategy was rational and efficient.
He inhaled the cold air of the inverted world, forcing himself to calm down.
“Since it’s a logic puzzle, solve it using logical methods.”
[Essential Insight] and [Wisdom Triangle] simultaneously activated, powerful analysis abilities began operating like a sophisticated computer.
In his vision, those seemingly chaotic formulas began to reveal their internal structural relationships.
Invisible connecting lines emerged between formulas, indicating their dependencies and logical sequences.
Ron began constructing deduction models.
He viewed each formula as a node and the relationships between them as connecting edges.
Trying to find an optimal path in this network leading to the [Truth Key].
First deduction:
The starting point was formula number α-1 “Amber of Solidified Time.”
This formula required “Eternal Fragment” as the main ingredient.
And the make of the “Eternal Fragment” relied on formula Ω-7 “Time Weaving Technique.”
But formula Ω-7 demanded “Amber of Solidified Time” as a catalyst…
This was a perfect logical loop, insoluble.
Second deduction:
The starting point was formula number β-15 “Conceptualization.”
This path seemed more promising because its prerequisite conditions were relatively simple.
But upon reaching the seventh step of the deduction, the same problem arose again.
The final needed “Pure Abstract,” its creation method required “Conceptualization” as the foundation.
Another dead loop.
Third, fourth, fifth times…
Ron attempted dozens of different deduction paths, each ending in paradox.
The most frustrating revelation was that these paradoxes were not design flaws but carefully constructed traps.
